I'm interested in knowing how the Static-X and Sevendust albums are. Both of their last efforts were average enough that I'm not about to blindly fork money over this time around.

Damn you Beth Gibbons, just go record the new Portishead album.

The only thing I'm really interested in on here is the Soul Position album. Rjd2 rocks the socks.

Be a Man is a solid (hillarious) album. The guy at Media Play who helped me find it told me that Hogan and Macho were brothers, and that Hogan lived in the Rochester NY area. (IMG:http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I fear the new Static X is going to suck. I've heard the newest single, and another track off of it, both of which sounded almost the same. There's hardly any sampling, or creative usage of effects that they did before. Granted, that's only a couple tracks, but I gathered they're going for a "raw" sound this time around, which is going to be completely counterproductive to what usually works for them.

Aside from Sevendust and RZA, there's nothing that really grabs my attention.

I'm wary of the new Belle and Sebastian. I haven't liked much of anything they've done since If You're Feeling Sinister.

My buddy got advanced copies of Sevendust and Static X, and here is the consensus: The new Static X is decent. Not great, but decent. Not particularly good...but decent. The new Sevendust, on the other hand? Great album, all the way through.

EDIT: I REALLY want to get the Jet CD. For the longest time, I thought that their song on the radio was some older song that I'd never heard before, and then I found out that their CD hadn't even been released yet. I'm fairly stoked.

The Fireball Ministry CD is awesome. Perfect CD for you stoner rock fans out there. Each one of their albums have gotten better so far, and the previous one was very good.

Sevendust seems to get better with every album, so I think the new one would be a solid purchase.
