Now, here's something I don't even get. HHH earned a WWF Title shot against The Big Show. But, a week before he won the title, HHH LOST to Big Show in a WWF Title match, thanks to Mankind. But the following week, Hunter gets a rematch with absolutely no logical explaination whatsoever. The only explaination I can think of is that he was married on-screen to Stephanie who owns the WWF. I mean, once I saw Big Show beat HHH to retain the WWF Title, I thought the title was safe with Show, who was face at that time at least for the time being, back then. But HHH gets a rematch and the title back with absolutely no explaination whatsoever.

If I remember correctly, the McMahon-Helmsley era set up a Big Show-Triple H match in early January, which Big Show won. The next week Triple H beat Show on RAW in another title match to win the belt.

No, HHH won the title in January. Big Show beat HHH the week before in December. Big Show was able to lead the WWF into the new year before lost it back to HHH.

Yeah, another prime example of HHH's ego getting out of control. There was no reason why I had to stomach that shit.

I was mad because I was starting to dig Big Show as the champ. After the shitty way it started out feuding with BossMan and defending the belt in opening matches. They have Big Show defend the belt as a main eventer and get this he was GETTING OVER to with the fans.

But, they cut it short to get the belt back on HHH. Sure it lead the great HHH/Jack matches but, I was just pissed.

I doubt it was legit. I believe they had the same finish in other matches at the time.

George Takano was also known as Cobra in Stampede and the WWF (circa 84 or so). He briefly held the WWF Jr. Heavyweight Title after beating Black Tiger at MSG on 12/28/84.
