I wouldn't normally post such a thing, but this has to be the most bizarre list I've ever seen. It's a Classic Hits Radio Station, by the way, and is Australian too, so if you don't know a song that's probably why. It was a Top 1000, but I can't be bothered posting the entire thing here, and nobody will read it, so I'll just stick with the strangest Top 100 ever:
100. Joe Cocker - Unchain My Heart 99. Boz Scaggs - It's Over 98. Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere 97. Rolling Stones - It's Only Rock And Roll 96. Neil Young - Old Man 95. Supertramp - Dreamer 94. UB40 - Red Red Wine 93. Queen - Another One Bites The Dust 92. Paul McCartney - Listen To What The Man Said 91. Eagles - Heartache Tonight 90. America - Lonely People 89. Mental As Anything - If You Leave Me Can I Come Too 88. Aretha Franklin - Respect 87. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lodi 86. Phil Collins - Something Happened On The Way To Heaven 85. Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive 84. Player - Baby Come Back 83. Rod Stewart - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? 82. Billy Joel - Just The Way You Are 81. Cat Stevens - Peace Train 80. Paul McCartney - Jet 79. Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water 78. Hues Corporation - Rock The Boat 77. Wizzard - See My Baby Jive 76. Olivia Newton-John & John Travolta - You're The One That I Want 75. Manfred Mann - Blinded By The Light 74. Tom Jones - Kiss 73. Rolling Stones - Satisfaction 72. Elton John - Healing Hands 71. The Who - Who Are You 70. Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time 69. Ringo Starr - It Don't Come Easy 68. Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine 67. Steve Miller Band - Jet Airliner 66. Temptations - Ain't Too Proud To Beg 65. Blondie - Call Me 64. Huey Lewis & The News - Power Of Love 63. Bruce Springsteen - Born In The U.S.A. 62. Somebody's Image - Hush 61. ABBA - Waterloo 60. Eric Carmen - Hungry Eyes 59. Police - Don't Stand So Close To Me 58. Matthew Wilder - Break My Stride 57. Rod Stewart - Motown Song 56. Bryan Adams - Back To You 55. Billy Idol - White Wedding 54. Paul McCartney - Band On The Run 53. David Bowie - Heroes 52. Cold Chisel - Breakfast At Sweethearts 51. Linda Ronstadt - Just One Look 50. Sister Sledge - We Are Family 49. Bee Gees - Spicks And Specks 48. Foundations - Build Me Up Buttercup 47. Bread - Guitar Man 46. Elton John - Island Girl 45. Beatles - Come Together 44. Cat Stevens - Morning Has Broken 43. Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar 42. Beach Boys - I Get Around 41. Honey Drippers - Sea Of Love 40. Supremes - You Keep Me Hangin' On 39. Toto - Africa 38. Little River Band - Curiosity Killed The Cat 37. REM - Man On The Moon 36. John Lennon - Whatever Gets You Through The Night 35. Stranglers - Golden Brown 34. ACDC - High Voltage 32. Crowded House - Weather With You 31. David Bowie - Rebel Rebel 30. Eurythmics - Here Come The Rain Again 29. INXS - Devil Inside 28. Chicago - Baby What A Big Surprise 27. Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons - Shape I'm In 26. Stevie Wonder - Master Blaster 25. Beatles - Get Back 24. Moving Pictures - What About Me 23. Elton John - Part Time Love 22. Hollies - The Air That I Breathe 21. Status Quo - Whatever You Want 20. B-52s - Roam 19. Richard Clapton - Capricorn Dancer 18. Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays 17. Paul McCartney - With A Little Luck 16. Pablo Cruise - Love Will Find A Way 15. Rolling Stones - Start Me Up 14. Michael Jackson - Beat It 13. Cold Chisel - Khe Sanh 12. Bob Dylan - Just Like A Woman 11. Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On 10. Billy Joel - My Life 9. Billy Thorpe - Most People I Know 8. Men At Work - Down Under 7. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody 6. Don McLean - American Pie 5. Monkees - I'm A Believer 4. Beatles - Let It Be 3. Eagles - Hotel California 2. John Farnham - You're The Voice 1. Elton John - Candle In The Wind I'm not the only one to find this list utterly strange am I? For those wondering, Stairway To Heaven was 411 and Imagine was 200 and something. It seems to me like they just placed all the songs in there randomly. Such a strange strange list. |

Well it makes some sense since it is a classic hits list which includes classic rock, pop, folk and pretty much anything from the 60's - mid 90's.

'Down Under' being in the Top 10 greatest songs of all time is a joke...
It should AT LEAST be in the top 5. |

The fact such a list is made with no R&B or Rap is just a joke in itself, it is impossible to make a greatest list like this without making some kind of guideline or bar. This seems to be 100 songs that came off the top of their heads and written in order.

Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time
Is it odd that I didn't know Cher sung that song? |

Cold Chisel sounds like it could be one of the worst things ever, and I'm really glad they never got big in the states.

(IMG:http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/style_emoticons/default/AR15firing.gif) (IMG:http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/style_emoticons/default/gasthrower.gif) What's the justification for that outburst??? I love that You're The Voice is #2. Such a winning song. I'm going to listen to it now. I got this playing in a nightclub in Canada all the time over winter. Awesome. |

Despite Nanks's outburst, you're right. Cold Chisel is like a poor man's Bruce Springsteen. In regards to MX, as I said earlier, it's a classic hits station. R & B and Rap really don't fit the criteria for the music played on it |
