It was self-fufilling on the Nuggets part. They didn't want him long-term, couldn't fire him in the off-season after he led them to the playoffs, so they undermined him publically and caused him to lose the players. Pretty dirty, but well done by Kiki Unspellablelastname. Michael Cooper should work out very well for them, obviously knows the game and the players will respect and work hard for him. I think we see an instant turn-around in the Nuggets performance, though they'll still lose their share of games due to the stiff competition.
