Richard Trionfo called in the following results from tonight's Smackdown taping in Orlando, Florida:

Dark Match:

*The Shane Twins defeated Shannon Moore and Steve Madison

Velocity

*Scotty Too Hotty pinned ?

*Bob Holly defeated Spike Dudley

*Akio pinned Paul London

*Charlie Haas defeated Rene Dupree

Smackdown:

*The Basham Brothers won a Fatal Four Way match, defeating WWE Tag Team champions Rob Van Dam & Rey Misterio, Eddie Guerrero & Booker T, and Mark Jindrak & Luther Reigns as Rey was pinned by Danny. Van Dam didn't do anything in the match but was attacked and "injured" after the match. Van Dam was stretchered out. The Bashams are the new Tag Team champions.

*Backstage, The Big Show made Kurt Angle apologize to Joy Giovanni for last week.

*They aired a recap of the Four Way and Van Dam's injury.

*Backstage, JBL's crew walked into Big Show and Joy Giovanni. Amy Weber didn't want to apologize to Giovanni, setting up a match between the two women later tonight.

*In the Kurt Angle Classic, Kurt Angle forced Roderick Strong to tap out.

*WWE United States champion John Cena pinned Kenzo Suzuki.

*Amy Weber beat Joy Giovanni via forfeit when she didnt come out. There is a storyline of what happened to Giovanni with everyone in Teddy Long's office as she is "missing."

*WWE Cruiserweight champion Funaki defeated Nunzio

*Carlito Caribbean Cool and JBL both said they didn't know what happened to Joy when questioned by Teddy Long. Miss Jackie and Torrie Wilson said they saw Orlando Jordan following her.

*They did a "ceremony" where JBL, with his cabinet, was presented with "Man of the Year" from the Florida Agridculture Group (F.A.G, get it?). Kurt Angle confronts JBL and it turns out Joy is in the trunk of the limo, unconscious. She is taken off and given oxygen. Big Show hits the ring and chokeslams Orlando and everyone else.

*Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak, and Luther Reigns talk backstage reveal they set everyone up and did it to Joy. Show stalks them as the show ends.

*In a dark match, The Undertaker defeated Orlando Jordan and WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield in a casket match.

Bashams as new tag champs. oh boy

I presume they're just getting prepped as Dudley fodder, but that's a match/feud I can't possibly get excited about.

WHY WHY WHY?! The worst possible choice out of the four teams (aka the most unover and untalented team in the match) walks out with the belts? I think they will do anything to get the Bashams over, no matter what the cost.

What injury is that?

I think it's a worked injury here.

It's the classic heel turn setup...heel gets "hurt"...comes back and screws his partner.

No, he's one of the many...(ok, 3) people that have a knee injury. Read he was supposed to be getting an MRI or something, possibly surgery (?) This week, or next week, or something like that can't really remember. But yea, he does have a real injury and needs time off to heal, so evidently that's the reason they took the belts off them and did this injury angle.

If they wanted to get them over, I'd suggest letting them talk and encouraging them not to work the "new WWE style" and wrestle how they did in OVW.

They're certainly a much better team than Reigns and Jindrak.

Wow, those are a couple odd choices for winners. London's done more recently, so unless there's a program brewing between those 2, I don't get that decision at all. And when was the last time Haas won a match?

Haas / Dupree sounds interesting.

Oh boy, so how soon until John Cena drops the US title to Orlando Jordan? One more and The Cabinet will have all the gold (except the CW title of course)! (IMG:http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/style_emoticons/default/throwup.gif)

I've been watching Smackdown since last month, and so far I've seen this:

Big Show beats Team Angle in 3 on 1 match. Then chokeslams everyone after Angle/JBL match. Then last week Amy Weber outsmarts Kurt. Kurt makes a fool of himself in a speedo while rubbing his nipples. Big Show chases his and gets attacked by team Angle. Show destroys all of them. Then THIS week Show forces Angle to apologize to Joy?

Meanwhile JBL is booked to be a fool, honky tonk man champion.

Seems like not much has changed since I stopped watching last January...

Yeah, Joy has such a well rounded character that everyone will care about this huge shocker of an angle.

As always, sounds like Velocity > Smackdown. Hopefully Akio/London will be as fun as their first match.

I wonder if a cruiserweight will join Bradshaw's Cabinet and beat Funaki at the Rumble?

The Kidman/London program had more heat before it got cut off than any of JBL's programs.

Angle is being booked like a tool. So much for the "Honor Society" or whatever the planned name for he, Reigns and Jindrak was.

Big Show went from a career resurgence to fat man in love.

JBL is, well, JBL.

Bashams shouldn't have won the belts. I'd have given them to Eddie and Booker, and feuded them with a returning Dudley team.

Dupree is still in the doghouse apparently. Also love how since Haas got the women out of his life and was supposed to be "on the right track", he's been stricken to the B show.

Watch...now that you say that, he's going to dump Joy for Big Bad Mama from GLOW or something. Then they'll go on to squash the Bashams for the tag belts.
