Cary Elwes -- Saw (Lions Gate Films) Sarah Michelle Gellar -- The Grudge (Sony Pictures) Jennifer Tilly -- Seed of Chucky (Focus Features) Mya -- Cursed (Miramax Films) Dakota Fanning -- Hide and Seek (20th Century Fox) -HOLY CRAP! This one's a trainwreck. Saw was decient, but Cary was bad. The Grudge sucked and Geller didn't even seem to be in it that much. And Chucky and Cursed both bombed badly. And Napoleon Dynamite sucked badly. I know MTV has a piece of the film, and tons of people got tricked into thinking it was great. But it was the worst movie I've ever seen in the theater. |

Except for a few (Hitch, Diary..., Coach Carter), these all look like 2004 movies. I guess it's Affirmative Action. LOL that Scorcese can't even get an MTV Movie Award. Apparently you can vote as many times as you want, even if you don't delete cookies or anything. *votes twice against Portman in any category she's in* |

Seriously what the FUCK? It's not like the "best kiss" category isn't silly enough, but has anyone seen Elektra? Thats the most boring girl/girl kiss in the history of film. My girl made me suffer through the Notebook, but the kiss in that movie at least meant something. This (Elektra nomination) was just to pop the 13 year old boys with the "ooooo, chicks making out" mentality. I get more irritated by MTV as each day goes by.

And to this day, I still say that Kill Bill: Vol.1 would have beat LOTR: ROTK if it has been nominated for Best Movie. Of course, MTV knew this, and did not want to fuck up the LOTR winning all three times.
Of course, some of those movie deserved the Best Movie award (Pulp Fiction, Se7en, The Matrix) and some did not (Scream, TSABM, MIIS). |
