I'm probably going to go to the store tomorrow to see if they have anything good left. The sale began today right when the store opened and last time I got there early and stuff was already selling out. Maybe I'll get lucky.

You know what really sucks, I WORK at a Best Buy and I had no clue this was coming. And I didn't work today.

There had better be some left when I go in tomorrow.

Could someone name a few games worth buying off that list?

Doesn't matter what system.

Everything I read, most stores are sold out of like 90% of the games on that list.

I was semi-interested in MGS:TS..but Im not gonna go out there for nothing.

some of these I wanted anyway and some of these I'd pick up just for the price. I guess I'll have to check Best Buy on the way home from work tomorrow. I did check online and the only one that wasn't sold out that I was looking at was Xbox-Rocky Legends, but rather than the 4.99 on this list, it is showing up as 9.99.

Also, is there an ad on this? Usually Circuit City will honor and I have had had them honor by calling Best Buy before... so I may attempt that on some...

There isn't in an ad because it's an unannounced sale.

As for games worth buying, a few of them I bought at regular price and had no problem with it, others I'd only buy because of the price, but here's a list of games that are at least decent if you don't already have them or a sequel.

CUB - Goldeneye: Rogue Agent $4.99
CUB - Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes $4.99
CUB - NBA Street 2 $4.99
CUB - Paper Mario 2 $9.99
CUB - SC: Pandora Tomorrow Tom Clancy $9.99
CUB - Tony Hawk's Underground (THUG)... $4.99
CUB - True Crime: Streets of LA $4.99
PS2 - Def Jam Vendetta $4.99
PS2 - Driver 3 $4.99
PS2 - Narc $4.99
PS2 - Resident Evil Outbreak (Online) $9.99
PS2 - Silent Hill 4 $4.99
PS2 - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 $4.99
XBX - Midway Arcade Treasures $4.99
XBX - Midway Arcade Treasures 2 $4.99
XBX - Mortal Kombat: Deception (Se) $9.99
XBX - Outlaw Golf 2 $4.99
XBX - Silent Hill 4 $4.99

I don't know much about the handheld games.

I read about this sale at CheapAssGamer days ago. I went to the BB in Riverside, California, last night after work. They had nothing from the list for GBA, GameCube, or Xbox that I wanted, except Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, which I managed to snag for $10.

Blame Matt for not posting when he found out. At least I tried whenever I found out.

You have to register to find out about the good stuff.

I don't usually post the CAG news; that's usually Matt/Downhome's territory. You guys been slacking off lately!

There was a guy that was presumably a Viet vet hobbling into a Gamestop I was also at today, yelling about a "lazy gook" sitting on the curb. He was also wondering when *some war game coming out I don't care about* is due out.

Haha, yeah. I mention deals I found out about at CAG or the Xbox Live leagues I'm in quite often.

I had planned on posting this deal sooner, but it just slipped my mind.

We'll forgive you this time, Matt.

I didn't realize so many people would jump on this so soon. At Circuit City I still sometimes find good stuff long after a sale is announced.

Geez I make one comment and people judge me. I didnt mean it like that. I meant I would pick it up cuz it was cheap and it looked interesting on the commercials. My dad would probably find it interesting and take a look at it.

and another thing, my dad is a DISABLED Vietnam vet with many health issues due infact to his time in the army. And he is not goofy or "out of it" whatever the stereotype of a vet is, but yet an intelligent working man and a good father. So I don't appreciate any comments or jokes about veterans cuz you dont know unless you have been there, but I assume you were just saying right?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just don't like to hear those kinds of comments ok (IMG:http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ok back to our regulary scheduled topic, anyone get to Best Buy yet?

That comment probably wasn't directed at me, but I was serious about my little anecdote.

Although I can see how one might take J82's comment the wrong way.

My dad's a veteran, too.
