...OK, now I know I'm up to long. I missed a good portion of those names.

Rey was the most surprising one that I missed, really.

Hopefully this will spawn a few sequel dvds ala The Rise and Fall of ECW. Hopefully it's not too one-sided. WCW did have it's share of good stuff. I always watched WCW over the WWE if I had to choose just because I knew that I'd see corny storylines on both but I'd see the better wrestling on WCW.

What would you guys define as the Rise of WCW though? WCW was pretty much in the dumps financially until the nWo and you certainly couldn't start the DVD there.

You COULD start the DVD back in the mid-80s with Jim Crockett Promotions getting on WTBS but then the DVD becomes, "The Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall of WCW."

Well, the "rise" would be the NWA becoming WCW..then WCW rose up a little bit, then had a bit of a downfall and then kept falling then the nWo came along and WCW really rose back up, then it fell hard.

Kmart's running a huge WWE sale this week. Cena, Edge, Hell in the Cell, DX, SNME dvd sets are $15 apiece. Wrestlemanias 20, 22 and 24 are $13. And if you buy $50 worth of WWE merchandise, you get $10 off Wrestlemania 25 on PPV.

Any word how much the Blu-Ray version of Mania 24 is?

A big thanks to TSM's own Sivy for bringing this to my attention, HMV in England are selling WWE dvd's as low as £3 currently. In fact, last years Backlash is at £4.99 as I bought it myself earlier today.

Listings for the Allied Powers - Worlds Greatest Tag Teams DVD from Silvervision:

QUOTE
Throughout the years, fans of sports entertainment have enjoyed the controlled chaos of tag-team wrestling. Many present and future Hall of Fame Superstars have been part of a popular duo, including Shawn Michaels (The Rockers), Bret “Hit Man” Hart (The Hart Foundation) and Jeff and Matt Hardy (The Hardy Boys). Yeah... the tag-team DVD looks like a definite pick-up. I know they have a slew of tag-teams, but I kind of wished they would have had a feature on The Fabulous Ones (I know it'd be hard without the full Memphis library), The Andersons/Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Could have done something on Ole and Gene or Ole and Arn), and The Skyscrapers (Especially when The Undertaker was part of the team).

They should have put a Rock N Roll Express vs The Midnight Express match on that DVD. Maybe the match were the Midnights won the title on TBS. Also, The Briscos vs Murdock and Adonis from MSG in 1984 was a classic.

Otherwise, this looks to be a pretty stacked set.

I still haven't got it yet. Damn DD.com. I'm never ordering from them again.
Anyhow I was able to pick up a new dvd copy of WM X-Seven on ebay for only 38 bucks. There's even some auctions with lower bids than that for lesser condition copies. I guess the market for OOP dvds has dropped( the economy works in our favor for once). There's even an auction for a WM 18 dvd starting at 10 bucks with no bids as yet. Score!

EDIT: I got an email from DD.com, apparantly because I pre-ordered WM with other in-stock items, the first items were sent with fast shipping, but the WM BD was sent regular mail. But why did they emial me last week saying it would be here in 2-5 days?

This is what I get for buying stuff while still Unemployed . Serves me right.

II got my WM 25 BD on Sat, and my WM 17 dvd from ebay came as well. Sweet. Didn't watch the show yet, but noticed not only no Kid Rock concert, but the song was dubbed over when Santina dances. That makes sense, KR must have asked for too much money to use his songs or likeness. Did they edit off the ACDC song too? I didn't notice from what I saw, but I got to watch it thru yet. The HOFwas good, if not very brief. Even the parts that were on USA weren't edited much, guess they wanted to get back to the hotel to sleep well. Best part was Frankie II crapping on the stage. Even Grisham made fun of thay saying he left a present.

I'm now watching the World Heavyweight Title DVD, and believe it or not, Kieth David, the guy who most-notibly voice-played as "Goliath" in Disney's Gargoyles is the voice host of this DVD.
