Depends on the cereal. I find the whole concept of putting milk in cereal so that you can drink it afterwards, usually, but sometimes I use soy milk which isn't as filling as regular milk. Soy usually gets drank, and regular milk poured since I can't chug that as fast (and I usually only eat cereal when I'm in a rush in the morning also).

Thoughts on cereal milk. Do you drink it, or pour it down the sink?

I usually have flax seed in my cereal so I do chug after finishing the cereal portion. I don't eat suguary cerals so there is none of that disgusting mix of sugar and milk at the end.

I do add blueberrys so it does from time to time have a powder blue-ish hue to it.

I just pour enough milk into my cereal to where I only have like maybe 2 spoonfuls left over if that. So I guess I'm part of the "i don't drink the milk" crowd.

My dad and I were discussing last week how much less milk I drink now as opposed to when I was at home. Ditto for cereal. I had always envisioned having a kitchen like Seinfeld's with a half-dozen boxes on the go.

However, I don't think I've ever not drank the milk afterwards. I even had a bowl as an eight-year-old that had a straw built in the side for such a purpose.

I was reminded of this product after all the cereal milk drinking talk. I saw this at the grocery store a few weeks ago, but looked too bizarre to warrant a purchase. Anyone else seen them?

I know.

I just like sharing that information.

My girlfriend just bought me a box of Chocolate Honey Comb. Somethings should never mix.

I've been pretty boring with my breakfasts as of late. My stomach can't deal with large amounts of food right off the bat so it's usually toast/bagel with peanut butter or honey with a tea/coffee. If I'm craving bacon and eggs or something along those lines I'll make it for lunch.

I miss McDonalds pizza.

I think I've mentioned this before, but the most response my Facebook status ever got was the same sentiment as LotC's quote.

AoO, Treble's Freddy/Eddy curiosity is misplaced; they were mascots for Shreddies, not a fast-food joint.

Also, Jonathan Torrens was on Street Cents?

Cut and paste from Regional Differences. I have no idea why I posted it there. Wait, yes I do. Regardless:

I actually remember my exact anger, in forum form, about a year ago, to which Treble's aforementioned inquiry pertains. Diamond Shreddies was a funny, and clever, campaign. It was also great marketing, as it got people talking. But nothing ever, EVER, proved to me the idiocy of the general public the way a satirical ad did.

(This is fun to do in a voice like Tim Allen talking as a woman) "What, how dumb do they think we are! They're not new, I'm not gonna buy them now - what are they, trying to scam us? Well, I'll never buy Shreddies again if that's how they think of their customers!"

What I don't get is people who don't at least pour enough milk into their cereals that they're wholly covered. There's nothing worse tasting than dry cereal.

I never throw out cereal milk. Maybe you lily pad white boys can afford to throw out food and such... but I don't do that shit. Selfish pricks, we got 85% of the world not getting sufficient food/nutrients and you just pour that shit out wasting going "Eww, to sweet...".

Pussies.

As far as my breakfast is going... I'm on some Bruce Lee shit lately. Trying to have rice with every meal. So I make my scrambled eggs with my nice freshly diced green onions and mushrooms, make my white rice, and stir fry that sucka into one great fucking meal.

Jesus KOAB, you and me are on the same wavelength. I've been doing the same thing.. except I ran out of eggs today.

I made scrambled tofu instead today and as a person who really has grown to dislike a lot of veggie substitutes for meat and dairy products, I really, really loved it. You crumble up some tofu, draining it with your hands over a mesh sieve or a colander if you don't have a choice. Chop up some red bell pepper and sliced garlic, saute those in olive oil, add the tofu, some green onion/scallion, turmeric, soy sauce, salt, and pepper and after a while that shit looks beautiful and tastes amazing too. Probably fairly cheap as well and good for you- obviously way less cholesterol than real eggs.

While I wouldn't prefer it over the real thing, it is a pretty good healthy alternative. Fried rice and veggies with a nice runny yolk permeating the whole dish from a sunny side up or overeasy egg is the way for me, though.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I topped off that scrambled tofu with a few pieces of sliced avocado and some Tapatio hot sauce. Really good stuff.
