Hey there,

I've got a new show to share with you all. We've added a smidge of something different in this week's show from last week. (if you can tell me what it is, you get an e-chocolate!)

On this week's show, I'll have..

My thoughts on TNA's latest pay per view, "Sacrifice"

What is and isn't working on the road to Summerslam

Bret Hart agreeing to work with WWE.

You can react to the show here in this thread or shoot an email at

[email protected]

That email is how YOU can get involved in the show next week. If it's original, if it's thougtful, if it's outrageous, it will probrably get some play next week. I'm looking to integrate your thoughts on topics I've touched upon on this latest show as well as whatever big news is going on in the world of pro wrestling. Again, I am giving you the chance to be a part of the show (and soon we can hopefully get guests on talking). Your emails can be about topics I've touched on past shows, the show itself, other hot forums topics, shoutouts, funny stuff, whatever. The last segment next show is going to be totally dedicated to YOU, the members of TSM with something to say that isn't lame. (I emphasize the last 7 words because I won't read lame stuff)

Thanks for the support...

DA

You sometimes sound like Eric Bischoff.

Great great wrestling show! You were spot on about everything, I just started following TNA again and I didn't see the Sacrifice PPV but it sounds like a good PPV because of you. What you said about Summerslam is almost exactly the same I think about it. Rey/Eddie was once a great feud and now it's gone too far. I liked the whole show but I wasn't really interested in the Bret Hart part though. I would have liked you to talk about the things that SHOULD have been on Summerslam. A good US Title match, the Tag Titles....talk about what the WWE is doing wrong with the Tag Titles and what do you think about Shelton Benjamin being jobbed out all the time? What do you think of Carlito as the IC Champ? Those kind of things.

I would like Bret Hart to just show up once in Canada in a HBK match and distract HBK and then HBK loses. Something like that. And I want him in the HOF as well.

Pretty damn good for a second attempt, I must say. You kept talking with few pauses and sounded sure in your opinions for the most part. Personal preference, but I would love a co-host for this if only because it would be nice to hear seperate opinions on topics and the debate that would occur. I know that might be kind of tough to do, but it's something to think about.

EDIT: Something you DO have to improve is the breaks between segments. Either say something like "I'll be back in a moment to talk about blahblah." or just finish what you say and let the music be the break. You have a good sense of humor as well.

EDIT II: You should also repeat the feedback address more. I'd do it twice a segment, especially at the end, which would be a good way to segue into a break.

The Copyright laws sound pretty air-tight over there, you mean to tell me that even though you aren't profiting from it, you can't play any music whatsoever?

Your voice sounds muffled a lot. Either you're too close to the mic or you need a better one. Still, it's better than last week where the volume kept going up and down.

Also, you need to decide if you're going to talk about shit and spoil it or if you're just going to talk about it and not spoil it. It's like, you talk about Abyss winning after hitting a second Black Hole Slam but then you didn't want to give away the finish to the Samoa Joe Vs. AJ Styles match. I say fuck it, don't hold back. When you do the radio show, the wrestling shows that you're talking about have already gone down. So, if people don't want anything spoiled, they'll just wait and download the radio show later.

I do plan on writing you an e-mail however I'll have to think of content first. :)

You need a co-host, to inject more comedy into the show. I mean I enjoy the show and all, but quite frankly, WWE product is so poor right night overall that it is hard to even listen to someone talk about it for an hour. I know there is TNA stuff in there two, but eh, it's TNA. This of course has nothing to do with you, you are doing a bang up job, but I think the problem is that the pro wrestling scene is just very uninteresting right now. You should integrate more topics, possibly some smart mark forum HOT TOPICS in there or something, but I mean it is your show, so you do what you want.

I agree with this, however I don't think that you need a co-host to provide comedy. I think you need a co-host to take some of the stress and pressure off of you and also provide another point of view. Especially if one of you were to play devil's advocate. Hell, you could even have a devil's advocate segment.

I think the show is a good idea and came at a good time. The state of wrestling, as it pertains to WWE, is bad. However, TNA is good. ROH is good. You can always talk about Mexico and Japan too. Hell, if nothing else, it gives us fodder for more topics and conversation. I think WWE, when it's bad, is a lot easier to talk about than when it's good. When it's good, everyone agrees on most topics. When it's bad, that's when you find the differing viewpoints. Take Chris Masters for example. Some like him. Most don't. OK, maybe that was a bad example. The point still stands (I think).

You should integrate more topics, possibly some smart mark forum HOT TOPICS in there or something, but I mean it is your show, so you do what you want.

This is a good idea. Possibly have forum threads that are the "thread of the week" or some shit and address the replies and whatnot from the thread on the radio show. You could agree and disagree with what the posters are saying. Hell, you could use it for the devil's advocate segment too and give an opposite opinion on each reply.

Also, DA, I sent you an e-mail. :)

Sounds good so far. I was impressed with the sound quality of the intro music, honestly. However, your voice does sound muffled. I don't think it's overmodulation...I think you're either too close to the mic, or you need a better mic.

Interesting comments so far, though.

Well the thing is, when you are the only host, and on top of that have no callers or interaction with other people, it ends up turning into something that sounds like it is being read off a piece of paper.

Maybe a good idea would be for Dangerous_A to set a specific time for the next show, and then pin an official thread for the show and have people make comments in the thread while the show is on. Unless you can't do live podcasts, then that idea can be scratched. If so, then pin an official thread now, with questions/comments for the show, and have them be relevent to the last week's worth of wrestling. That way even though he is hosting by himself, there is more opinions and outsider interaction.

There's an entire little indie music industry forming around making music for podcasts. Whether you want rock, jazz, bluegrass, whatever. You name it.

This should go into the podcast directory in iTunes. There's already approx a dozen wrestling shows there, none of them any good.

DA, in case you didn't get my PM, those two spots are done. It's probably best if I send them to you via AIM or something.

You want honest feedback? I'll give you some.

Dude, why do you even watch wrestling? I mean, I listened to your show and expected something that was at least halfway decent but what I got some guy sitting behind his keyboard pretending to be a wrestling big shot and bitching about every little thing that goes on in the WWE. I mean, I do think that WWE has problems but nothing that you said in the radio show was exactly new. Most of the stuff that you said, I can find in posts. You hardly said anything productive and you put out situations that would kill people's heat, Eugene has no business breaking the Masterlock. Chris Masters does have some charisma and he has potential to improve, he's only 22 years old and you don't want a midcard comedy character making his finisher look weak. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kurt Angle would've been another generic smark mark wet fest. I happen to like Kurt's psycho side and I think that he plays off of Eugene very well. Not everything has to be a wrestling classic, the average fan doesn't watch wrestling to see guys like Angle and Benjamin. They like to see CHARACTERS, it's sports ENTERTAINMENT not just sport. You have to accept that you're not going to get good wrestling (by your standards) in WWE so raise your standards a bit because thus far, your effort is sub-par and a stereotypical smark rant hour. If I want to have that, I'll save my time downloading and just read around TSM.

I personally work in the Entertainment field, I work at a radio station so I do know what it takes to make a good radio show. You're no Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage when it comes to having extreme opinions but sadly, you're reaching those levels so please, chill out a bit. You seem to have some potential to improve but you need to have a set guideline and rehearse to yourself beforehand. Whenever I work on a radio show, I try to do that. You come across as someone with scattered ideas and nothing seems to connect a bit. You pander to a niche audience here at TSM and not so much at the rest of the internet community. As someone who does do radio shows, I know that you have to look outside of your box to get an audience. Your show came across as nothing but complaints, this isn't a complaint line, it's a RADIO SHOW. You came across as a bit annoying when you were throwing insider terms around without considering that you may get a non-hardcore smark audience and you didn't even attempt to explain your concerns with the product and just needlessly bashed it and hoped for your wet dream technical all-star.

My friend Jay, he is a casual smark listened to you and he helps validate some of my claims. He also requests that you address this on the show.

First of all, Chris Masters is a young talented wrestler and he has a bright future ahead of him. Second of all, John Cena doesn't need Chris Jericho to carry him through a match. From what I've seen, Cena is perfectly capable of holding his own in the ring. Just because he doesn't have a 1,000 moves doesn't mean that he is talented. There is a such thing as RING PSYCHOLOGY and he knows how to use it. You bitch too much on the damn radio, calm the fuck down and watch the damn show and stop bitching. Have a cold one, drink it and watch the damn show, we don't need your stupid complaints about how Michaels kicked with the wrong foot or how Hogan is wearing his hair wrong today. Jesus Fucking Christ, you complain about everything damn thing. I swear, I am a wrestling fan but damn, you are excessive with your damn complaints. I mean, The Mexicools aren't racist, it's a midcard comedy gimmick, much like Eugene. Not everything has to be PC and happy in your little world. You have a damn annoying voice and it sounds like a damn machine is giving me wrestling news and hell you ain't giving me news, I'm listening to you bitch and moan. It's fucking ridiculous, you try to Mr. Insider but come off like Mr. Assclown. Stop trying to be an insider because you fail miserably, you fail as a talk show host, you fail as a wrestling fan and you fail at life. Stop taking up space on the internet and get some damned pussy.

*yawn*

Same old "if you don't like it, don't watch" argument in so many words.

Fact of the matter is most Smarks are bitter because WWE gives them a reason to be bitter. He wasn't completely negative. For example, he listed what he thought was working in the Summerslam build-up and he talked about the last TNA PPV which was generally positive.

Also, your friend is a mark.

LOL, does that statement even need to be dignified? I mean "Cena doesn't need to be carried" ? Chris Master has a bright Future? As who, Randy Orton-Light?

In case you guys didn't realize, if the radio show sounds like a post from WWE forums, well HOLY SHIT, look at who the target audience is, The Smart Marks board.

I personally work in the Entertainment field, I work at a radio station so I do know what it takes to make a good radio show. You're no Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage when it comes to having extreme opinions but sadly, you're reaching those levels so please, chill out a bit

Well Mr. Entertainment world Guru, as you would probably would know, being that you know what it takes to make a good radio show, you are aware that Rush Limbaugh has a national audience of 40 million listeners, so I would say his "style" of radio works just fine, you might disagree with his opinions and statements(as I do) but his STYLE is obviously working, same with Savage.

Stop trying to be an insider because you fail miserably, you fail as a talk show host, you fail as a wrestling fan and you fail at life. Stop taking up space on the internet and get some damned pussy.

Dude's married and living in the un-affordable Bay Area, a place you would probably be begging for change out of a cup if yer own parents weren't letting you live in the basement for free, so I'd go ahead and shut the fuck up about "getting pussy and a life"

Well, Jay is a nice guy that he can be passionate about the WWE product. Please hear Jay out because Jay may have different tastes than Dangerous A. He wants to give him some feedback.

Jay emailed me this to post back to NoCalMike.

To that NoCalMike guy, I am not a begger, I do not live in my parent's basement. I live in a nice house in a nice part of Ft. Lauderdale and I'm getting laid while you little internet fans are emailing your friends between your little porn sites saying "I'm Hardcore" and he emails you back saying "I'm Hardcore Too". So shut the fuck up about my personal life and leave that the fuck out of this conversation and go back to jacking off to your little fantasies of a barbie doll because all of that you can get is the Pillsbury Dough Girl. Or rather do you jerk off to watching Chris Jericho? I don't know anymore. NoCalMike, you are friends with Dangerous A but I am talking to DA and I only want him to respond to what I say. When "Dale" sent me an email of what NoCalMike said, I was shocked and DA, I hope that you respond to my concerns about your product. I am a wrestling fan and just because you sit in front of a damn computer all day, it doesn't make you any better than me, it just makes me more cool.

Again, all of these are Jay's opinions and are not associated with me.

Look dude, Jay doesn't have time to post here. Mostly because I have to edit Jay's posts to make it more "TSM-friendly". If I let him post uncensored, it'd be a bit of a clusterfuck but I just told Jay on AIM to give me a message and here it goes.

Stop posting what your 'friend' has to say. Either get him to register and speak for himself, or stop posting what he has to say.

There you go HTQ, that's Jay uncensored. I don't agree with everything that the man says that he has a point. I was a bit harsh in my review of DA's show but Jay doesn't hold back. And yes, Jay would register here if not for that and the fact that he would rather have me post it. He'd rather do the easiest thing.

Wow. "Jay" really is a mark. He has even resorted to ripping off a JBL promo. How sad. Of course, I don't think "Jay" exists.

Can we get an IP check on Dale and Jay? Then ban them both when it's the same.

EDIT: I'm sorry that your thread was shit upon DA. :(
