Rank my fantasy team

Recommended Posts

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 team D. 12 player league, 4 keepers.

RB:1 pt per 10 rush yds. 6 yds for a TD

WR: 1 pt per 15 receiving yds, 1 pt per 5 receptions, 6 yds per TD

QB: 1 pt per 20 yds after 100. first 100's free. 4 pts per TD

-2 for a fumblerooski or an IT., anyone.

Defenses get a little too many points.

I DO like my league's scoring system. A little yardage heavy, which I like. Warrick Dunn's a studmeister RB2 in my league.

My team:

QB Carson Palmer

QB Aaron Brooks (off the waiver wire, geez)

RB Larry Johnson

RB Tiki Barber

Rb LaMont Jordan

RB Dee Brown (gotta have my KC RBs.)

WR Marvin Harrison

Jurivicius

Randle El

Battle

Antonio Bryant

TE LJ Smith

Chad Lewis

Desmond Clark

Steelers D

Packers D

Very happy with my QBs and RBs. Marvin is awesome as an WR1 (traded Boldin for him, right before he got hurt. I have incredible luck with injuries) I think my WR2 is very weak, but I don't know who I'd trade for. Overall, it's a sexy team, and picking between Tiki and Marvin is not a bad position for a fantasy player. I won last year, BTW. I'm making love to my plaque right now.

Of course there's a team that has Shaun and traded their draft pick and Tatum for Steve Smith, that teams going to be hard to beat.

I still don't feel bad about trading Rudi and Randy Moss for Tiki. Rate my team out of 10. I shall do the same.

8 or 9, depending on who your kickers are. A Rackers, Feely, Wilkins, etc. bumps you to 9. I'm really not liking your #2 WR options, but everything else is solid.

Here's mine. FOUR-team league (so odd), starting 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex (RB/WR/TE), TWO kickers, and a D. I got:

QB Peyton Manning

QB Tom Brady

QB Eli Manning

RB Steven Jackson

RB Curtis Martin

RB LaMont Jordan

RB Willis McGahee

RB Julius Jones

WR LARRY FITZGERALD (my guy!)

WR Torry Holt

WR Joey Galloway

WR Ashley Lelie

WR Donald Driver

WR Joey Jurevicius

WR Nate Burleson

TE Antonio Gates

TE Todd Heap

K Neil Rackers

K Jeff Wilkins

D Indianapolis

Peyton coming back to form has helped. In a league this small, everyone has talent, so I tried for consistency, with guys like Martin, Fitzy, and Holt. Jackson and Jordan were BOTH waiver wire pickups; don't know how that happened, but I'm not complaining. Indy has been a pleasant surprise, and the kicking game is par excellence. I like it.

7.

Your team's really solid, with a lot of guys who will perform week in and week out. The problem is that there's such a dropoff between the top 4 RBs (LT, Shaun, Edgerin and now, Larry Johnson) and you're going to have to face a team that has at least two of those guys. You just can't compete with those guys' insane production with a very solid team in a 4-man league.

Of course, if Peyton starts producing like he did last year, you're going to have a very good chance.

Exactly. The league is really QB-centric in terms of scoring, so I took Peyton #1 overall. In hindsight, LT was the better move, but Peyton's had a couple huge weeks, and if we can get back to that I could make a run. I think 7 is a fair assessment, I was thinking 8 but I have sentimental attachments to Martin and Fitzy, so.

I'm f'd.

1 QB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K . . . 288-player league (18 players on 16 teams plus 2 IR spots per team). Not many teams have much depth as a result.

Donovan McNabb --- Out

Drew Brees

Anthony Wright

Willie Parker --- Likely Out

Stephen Davis

Dominic Rhodes

Terrell Owens --- Out

Antwaan Randel-El

Brian Finneran

Reggie Brown

Mushin Muhammed

Robert Ferguson --- Out

Aaron Shea

Matt Schoebel

Carolina D

New Orleans D

Jay Feely

Jeff Wilkins

I think I'm forgetting someone uminpactful from the lineup.

SJ, I'd say your team's a 9, and will be almost unbeatable in playoffs. Hasselwhack is notoriously good later in the season, and your WR2 could use a little work (though Plaxico isn't chopped liver.) Rackers is a significant boon at kicker, is that LJ Larry Johnson or Lamont Jordan? If it's Larry Johnson, your team is unstoppable. Either way, your team's helluva good.

Pretty much standard Yahoo league rules here.

The main differences are that fractional points are turned on, the Defense gets return yardage and TDs, and there are 14 teams, so pickings are pretty slim on the waiver wire.

1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

QB- Tom Brady

RB- Rudi Johnson

Samkon Gado

TJ Duckett (Backup)

Antowan Smith (Backup)

Greg Jones (Backup)

WR- Roy Williams

Eddie Kennison

Joe Jurevicius

Reggie Brown (Backup)

TE- Todd Heap

K- T. Peterson

R. Lindell (Backup)

DEF- Chicago

Carolina (Backup)

My QB situation worked out good for me... I picked up Brady early and planned to pick up a "reach" QB like Kurt Warner, Joey Harrington, or Kerry Collins later in the draft, but all the good ones were gone by the time I filled my other positions. Just as well, as most of my "reach" picks turned out to be busts.

My RB situation is the result of Deuce McAllister, my #1 pick, going out for the year and TJ Duckett going down for a few weeks. I've been roaming the waiver wire since then and picked up some good backups at the right times.

My WR situation is OK but not great... My 3 starting WRs at the beginning of the season were Kennison, Williams, and Ashley Leile, who I released after he didn't do shit for about a month. Other people have moved in and out, like Troy Williamson and Josh Reed, but haven't pulled enough of their weight to stay on the roster.

Lindell took over my kicking duties after week 1, when Matt Stover couldn't overcome a shitty Baltimore O to score points for me. If Peterson performs well, I may dump Lindell and look for some potential WRs.

Carolina was my original D at the start of the season but I picked up the Bears for week 2 and started them almost every week since. If it wasn't such a deep league, I'd cut Carolina in favor of another WR. However, a 14-team league means there are only about 6 available defenses at any one time.

As for your team, it looks to be really good, in 8 or 9 territory.

I agree with your WR assessment, as your WR2 spot is weak but, unless you're willing to trade Larry Johnson for someone, you're probably SOL for that spot.

It's a keeper league, so no way in hell do I trade Larry Johnson. I'll keep Carson, both LJ's, and it's a tossup to whether I keep Tiki or Marvin. I'm leaning towards Marvin, since WRs since to last much better than RBs. Tiki's having a hell of a year again, though.

Ten team league... I'm running away with it.

QB: Bledsoe

RB: Lamont Jordan

RB: Clinton Portis

RB: Domanick Davis

WR: Plaxico Burress

WR: Larry Fitzgerald

TE: Jeremy Shockey

K: Neil Rackers

DST: Bears

Bench:

QB: Leftwich

RB: Cadillac Williams

RB: Michael Pittman

WR: Reggie Wayne

WR: Donte Stallworth

WR: Joe Jurevicious

WR: Drew Bennett

WR: Ben Troupe

DST: Bengals

I had McNabb - traded him for Portis and Leftwich. Turned out to be a great move and I also traded Thomas Jones straight up for Shockey (as you can see - I don't need any RBs). Now I'm cofortably in first and I don't think it's gonna relinquish.

We all put in $70 this year as well so It could be a happy January.
