Turducken

Recommended Posts

I gave in to temptation and we bought a turducken for Thanksgiving dinner. Has anybody had one before? Good? Bad? Any cooking tips?

There's a place in my hometown that does turducken and sells it by the slice at dinner. Very good, though I'm not sure I'd make it a regular or even a thanksgiving thing. It's so heavy that it kind of defeats the need to have anything else on your plate.

Too much poultry for my liking, although duck tastes great. You know what's better than Turducken?

That's right: Pig Wrapped Pig Stuffed Pig. Here's the finished product:

I'm not sure how all of the meat being inside of each other actually changes the taste. If you take a slice of turkey, doesn't that, uh, taste like, uh turkey? I figured Turducken was just sort of a strange way of having three different meats at Thanksgiving.
