    Team Fortress 2

I've been loving TF2 as well, been waiting for it ever since it was originally announced back in like 1999. Absolutely, 100 percent the most fun I've had in a multiplayer game in a long, long time.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

I just can't believe it, so sudden and shocking. He was one of the reasons I got into wrestling in the first place, and was always one of my favorites. Rest in peace, Chris Benoit, and your family. Rest in peace.

    Odin Sphere

Man, I hate that whole epilogue sphere. Teleporting wizards, slimes immune to physical attacks--it's a hassle. Fire/Napalm or other similar potions/effects (I've heard Ooze works well, but never tried it) are what you need to use to kill them quickly. You CAN beat them to death, but it takes far, far, far too long.

    Odin Sphere

My advice is to get it now if you even can, because this game is likely to be incredibly rare.

Slowdown is a real killer in this game. It looks so fantastic that it's just a horrible shame to see the framerate chug so often. I just got to Chapter 5 of Gwendolyn's story, and the difficulty is picking up pretty considerably. The game's story is pretty simple, but also presented fairly well. I wish it had more exploration, but that's really not what this game is trying to do, so I can't penalize it for that. I think overall it's a very successfully mixed formula, it certainly feels really fresh. One thing I wish they had done in this game, however, is made it so status effects from potions you make would carry over from each sphere. It gets really wasteful in and even more wasteful where I am in the to constantly be drinking potions every time you switch spheres to combat the ambient conditions.

    Xbox 360

It's a hard game to describe. If you have a hankering for some arcadey, low-budget but fun B-movie style gameplay, give it a try. I would personally only recommend a rental on it, as that's what I did, because after level 30 the game becomes incredibly repetitive and starts rehashing levels to extend the game time, and I'd say the replayability factor, for me at least, was low after 51 levels. The dialogue the soldiers you fight with say is almost worth the rental price alone, though. *When facing a horde of hundreds of giant ants coming towards you* EDF Soldier: "All I need is one shot." *After clearing out a level of every last enemy, the EDF General comes on the radio* General: "Abort the mission, it's too dangerous!"

Well, like an idiot I played co-op with a friend yesterday after we both downloaded Keys to the City without thinking about it. And now, my main save file is gone, so I'm back to the beginning. Oh well, I guess I'll just use it for the Halo 3 beta until I bring it back. My gamertag is CaptainNTenneal, but I only own Gears of War right now. I just rent mostly.

I've never cared for Halo either. It's entirely average, and it WAS just a matter of being in the right place at the right time when the Xbox had nothing really of merit. I mean, even the storyline! They're trying to make this huge, epic story, and the enemies you fight are basically alien versions of the three stooges, complete with whacky voices. That said, I just rented Crackdown again for the sole purpose of trying the Halo 3 beta while I have the game. I want to try the multiplayer in earnest and see if it can win me over.

Poll: How do you say "NES/SNES"?

But, the question is, how will you pronounce it? Will you just yell out "Double U!" to emphasize the 2 exclaimation marks? Oh, and I pronounce it N-E-S and S-N-E-S, to answer the topic.

I'm late to the party. I got a broken 360 from my friend, who was planning on getting an Elite, and thus all I have to pay for is the repairs and it's mine. According to Microsoft tech support, it's on it's way back to me now. Anyone played Worms on the XBLA? I've heard it was horribly stripped of features and weapons, but damn, I loves me some Worms!

Hell yes. I remember renting that game like crazy when I was a kid.

The Red Star: Ready for release!

Well, I've played through a few levels now...so far, it's pretty good. The biggest thing I can say against it is what all the other people have said as a gripe: no mid-level checkpoints. The game also can get really cheap in some sections. For example, I was fighting a mini-boss who fires continuous streams of lasers in varying patterns that hold for a few seconds, and then switch to a new pattern. This was fine, until they started sending out peons to attack me while I was doing this, who are immune to gunfire, and they can freely walk through the lasers. So, to get them to stop shredding you from the sides while you dodge lasers, you need to attack them with a melee attack, but once you initiate the attack, you're stuck going through the animation, at which point your character has moved in front of the laser blasts...rinse, and repeat. Things like that can be a real drag, but otherwise, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I found a copy, I'll post some impressions after I've had some time with it.
