Wrestlers Upset Over Coach/Vince/Ross Fiasco

Wrestlers Upset Over Coach/Vince/Ross Fiasco

More on legit heat brewing over Coach/JR RAW situation...

As reported last week, Vince McMahon was directly telling Jonathan Coachman was to say last week on RAW. Coach was criticized by many for saying some edgy, borderline racist things on RAW and focusing more on bugging Jim Ross than the matches or storylines. McMahon loved how the angle came off.

The general feeling is that McMahon likes to push Ross. Many wrestlers are growing upset that McMahon and the RAW creative team continue to use many angles on the show as a way to entertain themselves rather than to improve the product.

One WWE insider stated the following about Vince: "He cares more about having fun for himself even if it's at the expense of the product."

Coach feels as if he has been put in a tough position but also realizes that he is only doing what the boss is telling him to do. JR also has some legit anger towards the whole situation.

Shit, we've known for years the McMahon's care more about entertaining themselves and putting their own characters over unless it's against Austin, Rock, Taker and Triple H.

These wrestlers are just catching on?

They do go too far at times. Just imagine if Austin crashed the 4-wheeler into the crowd instead of the ring last week?

That might have teached them. People get hurt on national TV. Law suits. Embarrassment. Police could have checked Austin's breath for alcohol, etc.

Did you just say "teached"?

;)

Anyway, this whole thing is yet another episode in the continuing saga of the rebirth and subsequent re-death(?) of wCw. Not surprising, given the principles involved.

What's the over/under on shoot comments for tonight's edition of RAW?

Judging from what happened when the 4 wheeler hit the ring, I doubt the wrestlers were in any dangers...except Austin, if he counts. It wasn't a real smart thing to have driven around a ring at that speed in the first place. Wasn't the thing Ozzy crashed similar to that?

No, Vince couldn't care less what wrestlers think.

Either way he thinks they are poop.

Whatever Coach said, Lawler's "You're not black, you're beige!" outweighs it. Besides, Long's "all white men are racists" speech was racist itself, implying that all white men think the same way. The point is that in this scenario, it's the black guys who are being portrayed as the heels simply because they're standing up for themselves. Standing up in an unnecessarily confrontational and racist way, true, but since this is WWE land they eventually lose all confrontations, meaning by WWE logic that they are wrong.

Basic lesson for last week's Raw - it's OK for Stone Cold to stun Long, because Teddy Long is black, he tried to advance the fortunes of fellow black man Mark Henry, and told Lawler that he'd fire him if he attacked fellow black man Coach.

Sheesh.

That is so true. I'm starting to think the Mcmahons have something against black wrestlers.

Actually, Vince grew up in North Carolina, so that's DEFINITELY something to ponder...

Not only did Vince and Linda grow up in Havelock, North Carolina, Vince was also a part of the gangs around there doing all kinds of stuff because he didn't have the personality to be "in" naturally like his brother Rod. Many of the gangs resented the military personnel, especially the black servicemen.

Honestly though, the Raw commentary hasn't changed much. Lawler and Ross do their tired bullshit week after week. Mainly, Lawler won't talk wrestling if he gets distracted by a pair of tits, and Ross won't talk about wrestling if Austin so much as flashes a bit of thigh at him.

The only difference is Coach being there ragging on them for being repetitive and racist...which uh, they often are. Coach is over the top, but he comes across less like a heel and more like someone telling it like it is.

I honestly don't even care about skin color. I see everyone as equal. Hell... if they all had purple skin none of this would be a problem. I see it as "heel is telling face not to beat up another heel or he is fired" ... that's not racist...just stale. But the fact that race was brought into it makes it just silly, stupid, and uncalled for.

The silliest thing of all is that most Smarks LOVE Teddy Long (as do I, quite frankly) but he is basically the other side of the racist coin. If Austin is doing racist things, if HHH is making racist speeches...then Teddy Long is as well...just aiming it in the other direction.

I just hope this will put an end to it.

Fiasco? The announcing was the only GOOD part of Raw last week!! In fact, I haven't enjoyed commentating like that since JR/Heyman were paired up. The only redeeming part of Raw, and they want to say that it was a complete mess. I can safely say the JR/Lawler/Coach team is WAY WAY above the illogical, boring, unentertaining commentary we have come to expect every Monday night.

Anyone else just want to lock Vince in a cage and experiment on him? *looks at fellow BTVS fans to get the quote*

In all seriousness though, I'd love to peel back the layers of Vince's mind and just poke around trying to figure out what he's thinking and why. Such a deep background to explore

Im getting sick of all the racist shit. First Lawler takes it too far with Booker T and now its RacistMania on RAW. Get over it, they have different coloured skin. OOOOOOOH, big fucking deal. I just hope there is a whole lot less of it this week.

Well, thank god the Torch has an insider source! WHEW!

I know! What would we do without their top-notch reporting and confirmed stories?

The moral of the story: if you haven't learned by now people, DON'T TRUST THE TORCH. Simple as that.

What would we do, CanadianChick? Huh? What would we do?! I'LL TELL YOU WHAT WE'D DO!

We'd get naked, just the two of us, and dance to Fozzy's new album this summer on a beach, both at noon and at midnight, so that way we could beth get some much-needed (although moreso for you) tans.
