Dangerous A

Danger Zone 9-30-2005

Recommended Posts

This was the first one of these I've listened to. Dangerous A is a pretty good host....I'll be downloading the other ones. Also, now I don't feel like I'm the only one who watched Ghost Whisperer (though even I didn't stick around for the second episode).

Beside the fact that it sounded as if DA was on location next to a monsoon, the show was excellent. The format you used for this week's shows were perfect. The only complaint I had of the original shows were the monotonous feel with a single host, but that is obviously cleared up now.

Good work, all three of you.

I own the movie...

Not for the breasts, but it sure helped.

Granted, not for the movie either, but JLH was in her prime then.

Dames

32 is prime, JLH was not 32, therefore she isn't prime.

Sorry, flashback...

Get RRR on the show next week

I really enjoyed hearing what Dames thought of certain posters. Not a knock against HTQ but I thought Dames was a better guest. He's certainly well spoken and came across a lot cleared than HTQ. Not because of the accent but because of the production values. DA, your end was shit this time around. With all the static and the annoying echoes.

I think you, DA, should play off of your guests more. Not just feed them question after question then respond to their answer by fake laughing or saying "interesting." Perhaps spawn a discussion if a question takes you in that direction. It'd make for better radio if you and your guest actually disagreed on some things. Then you could point, counter-point which could be entertaining.

So far, I think the best things the show has done is ask Dames' opinion on posters and answer listener e-mails. Perhaps you could incorporate both? Maybe tell us whom the quest will be beforehand so we can e-mail questions to him/her that you can ask them on air?

I know this is either a pretty obvious statement or pretty out-landish, but it'd be good if sooner or later we could get someone actually in the business on the show. I'm not talking asking Benoit to be guest, but someone in the indies. Interviewing TSM's greats is all well and good, but getting a wrestler on some time in the future could do some good traffic.

And, to totally contradict myself for a moment, you MUST get Rudo on.

Guest I miss Test.
It was a good episode. My favorite part was you asking Dames his opinion on various posters.

Can someone tell me what fatass said about other people... because there's zero chance I'm wasting any time listening to this.

My people and Dangerous A's people have been in talks, I can't promise anything, but... you may be hear RRR or something like RRR on the Danger Zone sometime soon. Really, if the talks break down, its DA's fault. Blame him.

Dames needs to be a permanent fixture on the show. He is sooo the Bryan Alvarez to your Dave Meltzer.

Hello-

I'm new here, I guess, (although I had been a poster on at least two occasions but was was then somehow removed from the system, thanks Dames) but anyway I'm back!!!

I listened to the show with Dames, other then the occasional static and break up it was a good show. Only thing I would say, boradcast wise, is that there were occasions (and yo mentioned them) where Dames already answered what your next question was goign to be and you asked it anyway. Other then that show was great!

I also suggest that you perhaps find another person to do the show with weekly so that you can hae a "talk show", that is you can bring up a point and they can bring up a counter point etc. Makes for better radio. Also, there is one show (not sure of the date) where there is no "hi speed connection) option and so I was unable to listen to that show.

Bottom line, great idea and show keep up the good work!

I've got a high-speed connection but still listen to the dialup versions. Doesn't bother me at all.

The High Speed or not, simply means that it is "Optimized" for high speed users. Those other shows, we never had the original in very good quality, and there is no point in making a file larger to "upscale" the quality since you can't get quality from thin air.

When is the next installment due out? I'm hoping in time for a Sourvivor Series pre view and maybe post game!

Interesting that you ask, Coffey.

Effective immediately, there won't be any more episodes of the "Danger Zone" for the forseeable future. Between work, dental procedures, and my wife, I cannot make the committment to doing a weekly show. Admin has let me know that if any of you are interested in doing your own show, that you can email him at [email protected]. If you really are interested in doing it, drop him a line. He was basically 80% of the show, I just provided the commentary and such. If you want to know how I got started with podcasting, PM me and I'll let you know what's up. Thanks to everyone who gave me their support. I really enjoyed doing it and still crave to learn more about doing radio in the future from a technical/school standpoint, although I may lean towards doing traditional sports talk radio as opposed to wrestling since that has so many peaks and valleys.
