You know this board is dead, right?

So the Forums at the Fire Pro Club are going nuts right now. One dude (SonnyBone) claims to be getting an interview with someone from Grasshopper Manufacture (Goichi Suda aka No More Heroes & Killer7 creator - also worked on the old SNES fire pro games) and that the information given in the interview will make said forum very happy. In one of the later pages he drops a hint that it also looks like they may be looking for fan input from the FPC forum members into this game or re-release of a game.. or whatever it is. This wouldn't be the first time it's happened as a marketing manager from Agetec dropped by the forums to solicit feedback and ideas when they were producing the localization of Fire Pro Returns (hell we even got into the credits of the manual). Anyway, http://www.fireproclub.com/forum/viewtopic...=16&t=20461 is the thread in question. He says he can post it around the 29th of this month which is about when Famitsu magazine is supposed to officially unveil the project. I just wanted to post this because I know we have a few Fire Pro addicts here at TSM.

Sorry, I disagree that any messages sent out were spam. Every message I sent out was to someone I personally interact with on this board on a regular basis. It's the same thing as me sending an email to a friend and telling them to join a new board.

How is it that only the PM's I've received in response to inviting other users to the new board mysteriously have their text deleted? HMMM, but all of my other PM's are fine. Resigning or not, this new regime is SO great AND professional.

Is it possible that the permissions on your account prevent you from even seeing the option?

Then someone is taking the time to physically make these edits, which is even more lame given the time involved.

I just checked the word filters; I don't see anything about changing The Real TSM to TSM. I also don't see a way to view/edit anyone's PMs. I don't know what to tell you, Ortonsault. The evidence is there. - some people have the new boards link changed to this board's link - some people have NO TEXT in the messages that were discussing the new board - all of my other private messages are fine. no missing text - nothing I'm not saying it's you, but bullshit certainly is afoot, and whatever the reasoning it's still an invasion of privacy since these are private conversations between two members.

Luke has said in the So It's Over Pt 2 thread that the original link has been changed to this board's link in his PM. So there's obviously a word filter in place. But there's also someone going in and deleting message text for those of us that have blank messages now.

Clear your cache and then reboot your browser, Luke. It happened to me once before too and that seemed to cure it.

If I'm not mistaken (and I doubt I am) I believe only the red-texts have the ability to participate in these types of shenanigans.

Maybe it's an April Fool's prank.. an undoable one at that. I don't know. It's not even really that it's so petty to delete any talk of the new board.. it's that our PMs are supposed to be private and yet our illustrious fill-in admins feel they have the right to go through them and pick and choose what gets to stay. I wonder how many people that I didn't hear back from actually received my messages....

No joke my friend. Every PM I have that was a response to an invite to the new board now has it's text gone. Every other PM in my inbox is a-ok.

Yeah, I know that now due to what's been said at the new board. Hopefully you can get what you really do want out of Mikebot. Agreed. TSM deserves better than what happened here over the weekend.

Don't worry Matt, I ain't. I don't plan on taking over this board. I was considering it but came to another realization upon thinking it through. I am, however, in negotiations to get something else out of all this, though (and you know what that is). Cheers!

I agree with this. I think allowing name changes but only via request to a mod/admin is a good way to go. I mean, I know we can check the histories in their profiles, but it's kind of a pain in the ass. I don't know who I'm talking to half the time.
