Hating "Build Me Up Buttercup" is pretty inexplicable, if you ask me. It's inoffensive, and I actually enjoyed its use in the ending sequence of There's Something About Mary. So after months of largely fruitless job searching, I got two calls for interviews this morning. Quite good news, but I'm definitely feeling the few extra beers that I had last night. My problem is that I've never had a hangover cure, really. I consider the hangover to be a sort of punishment for enjoying myself, and therefore just suck it up and take it like a man (meaning that I just stay in bed all day). But because I have to actually pull myself together and be presentable to a couple of prospective employers later this afternoon, I'm drinking water like a motherfucker and will probably have a large lunch. Possibly a giant sandwich.

My bracket is awful. I had UNC beating Memphis in the championship game, so half of that is fucked straightaway. But what's really curious to me is how Mr. I Didn't Watch Any Games manages to post a respectable bracket each year. I didn't watch any games, either! What's your secret, Dan?

The topic of this thread is bowling. For more information on skinheads, refer to the "Dispatches from StormFront" thread in the No Holds Barred folder. I'm not particularly good at bowling, I must admit. As with sex, I basically have one technique: hard, fast, and down the middle. But like with sex, this technique tends to lead to wildly varying and wholly unpredictable results. Sometimes the whole thing veers off course for seemingly no reason whatsoever, sometimes it appears to be on course but just sort of peters out at the end, and once in a great while I hit the sweet spot and can walk away from the experience with my head held high. But it's the unpredictability that really bothers me. What am I doing wrong when it goes wrong and how can I fix it? So let's talk bowling. Do you enjoy doing it? Are you any good? Any bowling league cocksuckers in our midst here? Do you think, like I do, that bowling alleys have gotten too clean these days? When I was growing up, every bowling alley I ever went to smelled like stale smoke and piss. Now they're clean as hospitals. Seems wrong somehow.

I really don't see why it would be necessary to add two regular season games, as I really think that everything about the schedule is perfect as is. But if they were going to do it, I would also advocate stretching the season out to 20 weeks and giving each team an additional bye week.
