Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 when they did the replay of angle and taker losing at the same time, you see part of the crowd...but the rest of the arena was suspiciuosly dark, with a lack of signs
Guest BeefcakeMark Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 yeah i saw that....it looked like a No Doubt concert up there
Guest Human Fly Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 The little part of the crowd was freaking rabid too. The edit was easy to spot.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 i missed it the first time, but god bless vcr's
Guest Ram Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 It was hilarious to see the side people jumping around with an HHH sign, and then it went to the real unedited view, and the same area was just standing blankly.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I thought it was done pretty well. like all the other recent editting jobs they've done... ...the ambulance ...the motorcycle ...Halftime Heat w/Rock vs. Foley (awhile back but horrid) ...etc....
Guest Downhome Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I didn't totally catch it, so can anyone post pictures?
Guest art_vandelay Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I thought it was done pretty well. like all the other recent editting jobs they've done... ...the ambulance ...the motorcycle ...Halftime Heat w/Rock vs. Foley (awhile back but horrid) ...etc.... If you didn't know about it from the net, I don't think you'd be able to tell it was reshot.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 okay...I confess.... I didn't catch the motorcycle...but I knew the other two... Halftime Heat was GLARING OBVIOUS the first time I saw it
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I noticed that myself . It looked like they did the whole black sheet thing on the upper levels . Hell even my 10 year old nephew noticed it .
Guest Vitamin X Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I thought it was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS how into the match the fake crowd was.. I swear to god they looked like a No Mercy/Smackdown! crowd, but in real life!
Guest Zero_Cool Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 You said it, X. Those monkeys would even pop for the dreaded double ear clap!
Guest Kid Kablam Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Speaking of empty arenas, did anyone else think that the Rock/Mankind Empty arena match sucked?
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I halfway wished I would have watched Smackdown.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I have the finish to the match that I made into a wmv file if anyone wants to see it that missed it. I put it up yesterday morning but apparently only a couple people wanted their smackdowns spoiled..
Guest candie45 Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I missed SD and I think it would be pretty funny to see the editing, so the clip would be appreciated. Did the employees really hold up HHH signs?
Guest Goodear Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 If you didn't know about it from the net, I don't think you'd be able to tell it was reshot. Bingo...
Guest Redhawk Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I saw the Halftime Heat match. When was there bad editing?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I have to admit, I was even looking out for it, but I missed it, so it couldn't have been that obvious.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 i was looking for it too but missed it. taker still had angle down for three and then he tapped afterwards so the timing was still fucked up there.
Guest JHawk Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 i was looking for it too but missed it. taker still had angle down for three and then he tapped afterwards so the timing was still fucked up there. That's actually how I caught the edit. When they had the "replay" after the commercial break Taker's tapping came exactly at the third count. I didn't notice it "live" though.
Guest What?! Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Is it just me or did the whole "crowd" wear white shirts? I mean add a little variety in the clothing, guys. And yup, there was one sole "HHH" sign at the top right corner I believe.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I was there in Boston for the SD tapings and I was surprised they re-taped it. The original ending had Taker tapping on Angle's shoulder, not the mat. The editing was poorly done. If you notice, everyone is sitting down during the regular crowd, but as soon as they cut to the fake crowd, it's like Wrestlemania 18 all over again, they are going insane. Oh well.
