Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Maybe we Smarks should start our own Internet Radio Wrestling show. put it on after Wrestling shows do reviewing. Showcasing talents doing on air bios of wrestlers. Hell even Play Old wrestling PPVs and doing our Own Commentating. just a pipe dream idea.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 if only we had that kind of motivation and money and time
Guest MrRant Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Only problem I see is that you would have to do it 2x because of the West Coast viewers.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 That's actually a good idea. I wouldn't mind doing color commentary for a radio show. Might be unlikely, but it's nice to think that way. "the SmartMarks Broadcast". Not bad, not bad......
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 In all seriousness, I've been thinking of putting something like this together. Mix my love and knowlede of Pro. Wrestling with the multitude of voices I can do, and I feel I would have a solid show in the making. Of course having a few others in volved, but yeah, it would be fun as hell.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 A good idea...but then again, money. Any sites that host shows like that? Live365?
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 How much would it actually cost to create an internet web-show?
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Well of course there would be money involved in it, it would be something that starts small and slow but would grow. Just think what we could do. What type of show it would be... Commentating shows? Doing Bios on wrestlers.. doing PPV reviews. Just getting a Group of wrestling fans together like a Political show and sit down and talk about wrestlers and wrestling on the air, or on the internet/radio Everything costs money. But hell I'd get a Good job, and career just to fund something like this. the point for this would be to give us as a community more of a voice than the Wade Kellers and people who claim to represent US and basically opens us up to be bashed by Wrestlers who think We are all telling them how to do their job.

I say just a show set up like "Politically Incorrect", that would be sweet. Then in it just talk about whatever, then do reviews and the such. I just went to... AlternaCast ...and you can do it from there, after you sign up you get two free broadcasts, and then you have to pay for more. I'm sure the quality is crap and whatever, but still, it's there, lol.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Break down what the show be.. Be all segmented Starting and ending Segments on the WWE... Then we do a Independant Segment for news from NWA TNA, WWA, XWF, CZW etc Do a International Segment for our Puro experts and do news on Japanese wrestling Then we do a Weekly Spotlight segment Picking a Wrestling and Discuss his best matches his moves and greatest feuds etc etc etc (Take calls) LOL FARRR into the future Trivia247's own Trivia Segment Asking Wrestling trivia questions with the Answers coming at the end of the segment a Pro n Con Segment a little argument segment between Smark marks on wrestlers Anglesault vs someone who actually likes HHH That would be Ratings in of itself And the closing Segment for WWE Events House show Locations and Upcoming matches for like WWE Raw, Heat, etc Thats somewhat of the Idea, if anyone needed clarification Far in the future if we were remotely successful in this, who knows, maybe Smarkmarks get on the map.. Then at WWE Raws we might see some guys wearing SMARKMARK.com shirts LOL
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Great ideas you have there. I signed up for AlternaCast and I have two free broadcasts. After that, you can pay for each one at $5 or so a pop, or cheaper when you buy broadcasts in bulk. It seems that it would work out great, if done the right way and planned out. Oh yes, and each broadcast can be UP TO 4 hours long. Keep those ideas coming people, this could get very interesting!
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Alterna cast is AWESOME. As long as your only have 2 callers (you can have 3) and the host - it sounds pretty good. Just dont play sounds. THAT sounds like ass, ASS.
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Oh yeah, i'd call in and chat with the host. Damn right.
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 I'm currently going to school for Radio Broadcasting and Sound Tech . If everything goes right im gonna get my internship at a local sports talk station here in Houston . The cool thing is that on Sunady at 2:00 in the morning they have this local guy and he does an hour program on wrestling . Its a call in show and they actually get a lot of calls on it , I think that something like this might actually work . Hell if I get lucky enough I might just be able to get a job helping out on the show . That would be pretty cool because there are a lot of Rock haters that call in .
Guest Zero_Cool Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 All of this stuff sounds pretty good. You get up to four hours of broadcast time too. So you could quite possibly have a weekly Sunday night show that runs from 7 est to 11 est. It wouldn't be very hard to use up four hours on wrestling..we know that.
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 One of the segments could also be for the E-Feds. The host over the show could have two guys who are "feuding", and have them REALLY cut a promo, etc... if you know what I mean. The bottom line is this... ...there is a lot that could be done. I shall talk with those in chrage here, and we'll go from there. Trivia, now we need to think up a name for it, lol!
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Down home, you need to cut your sig size down in the width area. Too fucking wide...
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Down home, you need to cut your sig size down in the width area. Too fucking wide... Consider it done...
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Ok lets say we all in the future decided to do this and we get this 4 hour weekly show started. doesn't have to be all WWE at all, This is the Smark Show for Smark Fans like us, Break down the Segments and see what you want to see and or DO for it?
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 hmmm guess the idea to dangerous to think about it LOL
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 hmmm guess the idea to dangerous to think about it LOL Hey now, I'm all over this! It's going to happen, I assure you all, bwahahahaha!
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Down home, you need to cut your sig size down in the width area. Too fucking wide... Consider it done... Many thanks
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 I used to do a show called "WrestleSmarks" on Omegawrestling.com that would be hosted by Fancast.com. I used to talk all about wrestling and it was really fun and I got really high crowds. Maybe I'll do it again some time.
Guest Mr Monday Night Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Hey! Heyo! What about backyard wrestling?! I bet if you set up a website saying if you send a tape and we like it, we will do a plug for your fed on the show, or review 'em. It would be pretty cool to have a backyard fed section of the show.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 NO offence Mr.Monday Night, bnut I think that promoting backyard wrstling isn't the smartest thing to do.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Backyard Wrestling would be frown upon by Every Major Wrestling promotion the handsful that are left. If we help promote Backyard Wrestling We would look Small time even though we are and basically would be shunned in Far future considerations for interviews and listeners
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 NO offence Mr.Monday Night, bnut I think that promoting backyard wrstling isn't the smartest thing to do. You think backyard wrestling is what's on the "best (using that term lightly) of BYW" tapes, eh? Come over and see the video clips of the GREAT BYW feds like VCW, NGW, GEW, or PAW. They're AWESOME, better then WWE (entertainment wise).
Guest Downhome Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 Just for the record, if BYW is to have anything to do with this, then count me out.

I just think the BYW is not good to promote because it encourages people to do something they are not properly trained to do.
