Guest HartFan86 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 If you didn't see Raw, Nash returned it got hurt within 10 seconds. I just watched the thing again on tape and here's what happened: Nash went to go to the corner, tripped over Booker T, and basically blew out his left knee. It looks really bad and you can definately tell it's not a work. With all the knee injuries of the past, it definately doesn't look good for Nash.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 shit sorry to hear when anyone gets hurt, but maybe just maybe this could be better for the WWE
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 It drew belly laughs from me.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I thought it was a work at first, but I watched it again and when Nash fell like a sack of bricks, I knew it was legit.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I laughed my ass off considering it was less than 30 seconds since he got back in the ring and then he blows out his knee.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 hell the Chaos after it and Kayfabes breaking all over the place... Bubba went over to check on him and Xpac had to try and kick him away just to keep up appearances.. All kidding aside about Nash that got to be a Ball buster for him. 3months away, he gets ready for his first match back and boom he is invalid again. Whatever he had left in terms of a wrestling future just went up in Smoke
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Fucking Booker T. I'm glad he had to job to the Big Slow.
Guest mach7 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I'm not a Nash fan, but it's too bad he blew out his knee. If you watch him step over the top rope when he's tagged in, he even rubs the knee for a second, so you can tell that he's been having problems with it. Ah, that sucks. It looks like he'd lost a lot of weight since we last saw him in his ring gear, too.
Guest thebigjig Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I don't like Nash either... but it didn't draw laughs out of me. I was quite franky disturbed. I don't care how much you don't like a guy, something like that is horrible and shouldn't be wished upon or laughed at by anybody. Nash's screams of pain are still ringing in my ears as strange as that sounds
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Nash stood outside of the ring doing jackshit the whole time. It's kind of funny considering that he was talking big shit about what he was going to do to Booker T. Maybe he was trying to tell HHH that he was going to blow out his knee again in a round about way. I thought Nash was faking the shit because I couldn't believe that the shit was real. I wonder if Vince will live up to his words and fire Nash if he doesn't produce.
Guest mach7 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Fucking Booker T. I'm glad he had to job to the Big Slow. Get real. Nash didn't trip on him. The "leap" he took over Booker was too big for even his legs and he landed wrong. When he went to step over after that, his knee twisted/buckled. It was no one's fault.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I thought ti was more dictubing that no one seemed to care. HBK, Nash's big friend, could have at least checked on the guy or not stormed away like 5 yards in front of him as they were leaving.
Guest thebigjig Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I thought ti was more dictubing that no one seemed to care. HBK, Nash's big friend, could have at least checked on the guy or not stormed away like 5 yards in front of him as they were leaving. Well, I'm pretty sure he did care... I'm pretty sure that everyone in that ring cared. Shawn was probably thinking of a finish or trying to concentrate on putting an end to the show... the show must go on
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 At first I thought it was a work to get the ref's attention so HBK can come in and kick Booker, but when he didn't get up I knew it was legit. Then hbk starts talking about people who are hurt and lying face down while his good friend is writhing in agony 6 feet away.
Guest Choken One Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I think Shawn was just trying to Keep character...
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 More info: I also want to point out that Buh Buh ran over to Nash and you can hear Nash saying "My leg, my leg" and Earl Hebner makes the "DX" sign with his hands (I think that is showing everyone backstage this is legit and isn't a joke.) I also want to mention that I timed his injury...and it happened AT 10 SECONDS FROM STEPPING BACK INTO THE RING. That SUCKS. Another Observation is that Nash gave the big boot with his right leg and all his weight went on his left. It could be possible that this led up to his knee blowing out. You can also tell that this was a total shoot cause HBK slides in the ring, Hebner yells intstructions to him, and HBK's like "OK." Basically the ending you saw was totally on the fly.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Then hbk starts talking about people who are hurt and lying face down while his good friend is writhing in agony 6 feet away. Exactly! That 3 second mic work after the match wasn't necessary. I think Shawn was just trying to Keep character... Which is the leader of the nWo and Nash's best friend.
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Now that Nash is out of the picture they will have to rework this some how . Does anyone think this could possibly be away to bring back DX ?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 At the end he didn't even try to help Nash up the aisle. With friends like that...
Guest notJames Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Now that Nash is out of the picture they will have to rework this some how . Does anyone think this could possibly be away to bring back DX ? Sure... bring in another wrestling entity without a leg to stand on...
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 I can remember Nash talking on his web site about 4 months before his return, saying he was in the best shape of his life. I'd have to disagree.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 At the end he didn't even try to help Nash up the aisle. With friends like that... On top of, that, he looked FURIOUS, and seemed to be walking as far away as he could.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Nash stood outside of the ring doing jackshit the whole time. Yeah, it's called building the anticipation, genius. It's kind of funny considering that he was talking big shit about what he was going to do to Booker T. He was kicking Booker T's ass when the injury occurred. And since Show's choke slam was their Plan B, something tells me that Nash's Jackknife was Plan A. Yeah, that's right, Booker was going to job to Nash. So choke on that, slapnuts.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 WTF is your problem Smarkzone? Choke on that slapnuts- yea 2000 was so two yrs ago.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 My problem is the Booker T and Angle marks who are coming out of the woodwork to make light of this.
Guest bsrizpac Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Anybody laughing at this is probably a bitter loser that never gets enough sunlight and has few friends.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Nash never did have good knees. Smarkzone: they aren't laughing because he is injured, they are laughing because he got injured 10 seconds into his return from an injury.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 My problem is the Booker T and Angle marks who are coming out of the woodwork to make light of this. in terms of Nash, it sucks, its a bad break and besides from my "joke" at him in General Wrestling isnt funny, but it is ironic besides this IS better for the WWF because a Nash in the Main EVent would not succeed, and now the WWF is forced to find someone else, and possibly dip into the youth pool, for the company this is good, and for Nash, this does suck, but sometimes life just turns out that way
