Nash already buried himself

I just thought to myself "Nash buried himself." You know why? He didn't finish the match. HHH did and the WWE already made a huge f'n deal about how he contiuned the match and he's a real player, etc. Nash just layed on the mat in pain. Now, obviously he could have a more serious tear than HHH, but I'll be damned if the WWE didn't bite themseleves in the asses about this one.

Yeah, I'd say that was the last time we will see "Big Sexy" in a WWE ring anyways...

Dah Well...

But u got to remember HHH is intense and while Nash is great no one is that intense

Guest HartFan86

Well, if that's the case....than he didn't bury himself cause they'll play it off that was carrer-ending, so he obviously couldnt' finish the match.

HHH's roid rage gives him incredible endurance.

did you seen nash last night? he looked like he couldn't move for a few minutes there.

quit trying to cause more and more nash backlash with that false shit.

This has nothing to do with people's hatred for Nash, I in fact have nothing against him (despite his rep. for being lazy). I'm just posting the truth. It makes Nash look bad if HHH can contiune the match with the same injury, and he can't.

according to 1wrestling, his quad was completley off the bone. i don't think HHH's was that severe.

While he did not continue the match, Nash did have a very insightful dialogue with the canvas. Apparently they are now best of friends.

What in the hell???????????? Nash is 7 foot, did any of you ever realize that, the guy can even move as it is. Tearing his quad doesnt bury him at all, he'll once again, its just a bad bad circumstance.

HHH is about 6 inches shorter, and 6 years younger and 6 knee surgeries away from the condition that Nash was in. End of Discussion!

I didn't realize Nash's quad injury was more severe than HHH's before I posted this, so if that's true, than the discussion ends.

Hmm...6 inches shorter, 6 years younger, and 6 knee surgaries away?

GASP!

666! The mark of the devil!

That proves it, HHH is evil

I thought HHH's quad was completely detached as well?

People need to stop playing this off as Nash hate or a knock on Nash as a tough guy; it's just the truth. HHH finishing his match was made a huge deal thanks to the creative department, and now Nash doesn't have the same benafit.

Hell, if he's lucky, they'll say he tore it giving Booker the big boot. That would be the best way to play it up, because it makes Kev look like the guy who "went out trying to hurt someone" and thus, a bad ass.

On a lighter note, was I the only one expecting Nash to cut the promo threatening HHH while lying on the mat, like he did to Goldberg? Only a REAL man like Big Kev can threaten people while layed out on the canvas and still sound convincing!

You can knock a guy for not playing hurt, but you can't knock a guy for not playing through injury. True it took toughness for Triple H to do what he did, but don't misconstrue that to mean that someone who can't do that lacks toughness.

You're missing the point. The point is, when the WWE made a big point of HHH finishing the match, or Austin finishing the Summerslam '97 match with Owen, or Angle finishing the Summerslam '00 triple threat, they set a standar for injuries that said the toughest of the tough would finish the match no matter what the injury. Nash has failed to live up to that, so it makes him look bad by a fan who is conditioned to think true tough-guys can make it through anything. It's not a legitament knock on him in any sense, but the WWE has inadvertaintly set a standard for injuries too high to reach, so it seems.

I saw the point that you were making, but there are people who are actually calling Nash a pussy because he didn't finish the match. Just because someone's not the toughest of the tough doesn't make them not tough. If someone got shot in a match and finished it, does it make someone who breaks his leg in a match and can't finish a wimp? If WWF fans believe bullshit like that, I doubt their intelligence. You don't call someone who gets an A a dumbass because he doesn't get an A+.

HHH went above and beyond the call of duty when he got injured (oddly enough, to put over Jericho/Benoit) by continuing the match, complete with Walls on the table spot.

However, it would be expected for the WWE to use that as a promotional spot since it:

A) Makes HHH look like a total badass.

B ) Tells the smarks "See the lengths he's going to! Why the HHHate?!" as though it means something years later.

C) Tells marks "d00d pro wrasslin' isnt fake loook at this footage!"

Of course the Nash scene won't be replayed 800 times in adverts. That's because it's pathetic, and WWE doesn't want to look weak in front of the marks by bringing up that mistake over and over.

actually the hhhate didnt start til after he returned. before his comeback, we all wanted trips to return, as we though we would be getting HHH2000, producing MOTYC at will. as history shows, that did not occur. as a result, HHHate was born.

to add to the previous post: kayfabe is dead, everybody knows wrestling is fake, but some injuries are legit. come back mate, the '80's finished a while back.

Adrenaline people...adrenaline.

Nash was moving all of 10 seconds when his Quad tore. HHH had been running all over the place, got a nice sweat worked up, and in all likelihood felt a lot less pain than a guy that had just stepped in the ring.

They had basically the same severity of injury, Nashs just came when he was cooled off and HHH was on the Adreanaline rush. Holly finished a match with a broken arm due to the rush. Eddie Guerro came in the ring after cooling off on the outside and dislocated his elbow and there was no chance he was going to move at all. Adrenaline makes all the difference.

That being said, Maven is the toughest man that I have ever seen. He got injured in about 3 seconds(broken Leg) and kept going. That is tough...although a torn mucle would hurt more. Maven deserves the most props out of them all.

Guest cabbageboy

I think Bob Holly also continued on with the broken arm against Angle for about 5 minutes.

Frankly I think Nash did the smart thing by just staying down. I mean really what did HHH accomplish by continuing that match that would justify the threat of even hurting the leg worse?

Triple H went alot further in that match than adrenaline would cover. At least that's from my experience, playing three inning of high school ball with a dislocated ankle.

Guest Ripper

Oh he difinately took it further, but it had to help some. Nash had nothing going for him.

Ah, the Dislocated ankle, that hurts more than most anything that I have ever experienced in my life. I did it 3 times on my left ankle and dear lord, I would have been happy if someone had just shot me and put me out of misery.

One of them happened in the second quarter of a basketball game and the ass hole crowd thought it was good that I got hurt so they had a chance to win. This is part of the reason all of the Nash mocking pisses me off so bad.

Guest Brian

Yeah, I got my cleat caught in the middle of my slide andwent right over my ankle. Had to play because we were down to eight guys already. Sophmore year, varsity, might have cost me a scholarship.

Nash mocking doesn't really bother me.

I hate when crowds cheer during injuries. I remember Michael Jordan talking about scoring a career high 69 points after a crowd cheered when he went down. I have to give props to Triple H though for continuing his match. Having a muscle tear is bad enough, but contracting it over and over had to have hurt like hell.

I wanted the guy to comeback cause I thought it was extroadinary he finished the match and took the Walls on the table and I've always been a HHH fan and I wanted to see him come back from that
