Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 Kevin Nash had successful surgery on Tuesday afternoon in Birmingham, Ala., to repair his left quadriceps muscle, which was completely torn off the bone. Dr. James Andrews informed World Wrestling Entertainment officials that Nash’s recovery will be slow and extensive, and that the former WWE Champion will be out of action for at least six months. Andrews added that he was happy with how the surgery went. Nash is currently in recovery, resting at the hospital in Birmingham. He is expected to return home in a few days. wwe.com
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 6 months projected = 8-12 months in reality.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 so, he'll miss the Royal Rumble... damn.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Dr. James Andrews informed World Wrestling Entertainment officials that Nash’s recovery will be slow and extensive, Just like a Nash match!
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I guess HHH has to join the nWo now...either that, or can the nWo. I vote for #1. It's not like HHH has anything better to do.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 and then the nWo can become nWoDX
Guest Incandenza Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I vote for canning the nWo. It's not like HHH will be able to save it or anything.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 HHH needs to: a) Slim down. Drop the roid weight. B) Forget the quad injury and move forward. "b" is a lot easier said than done. That kind of shit will mess with your head.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Is Nash planning on returning to the ring, or is this it. His legs where shot before the injury, we've all seen HHH since he's returned, he hasn't been the same, and he had some of the best matches in the WWE. Imagine a 42 year 7-0 foot tall, with bad knees coming back.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I say he up and just retires. Watching him the ring for those few seconds was painful. His knees looked so wobbley, I almost expected him to collapse. Nash isn't going to come back any better. Just hang 'em up Kev.
Guest chirs3 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Well, it's good to hear surgery went well. I'm not exactly rooting for a return to the ring, but I always thought he worked the stick pretty well. If, god forbid, the NWO is still around when he recovers, he can be the mouth.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I was almost expecting him to hurt himself from the minute that he got in there. He just was just waay too pumped and moving waay too fast in there (almost at Rocky levels) for a guy with 13 knee surgeries who just came back. Sure enough, he got ahead of himself and his quad paid the price.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 He's already gone thru all the problems with his knees, I don't see him going thru a year of rehab to get back in the ring, and then this happens again.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 eh just call it NoX=New Order X
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 and then the nWo can become nWoDX Ummmmmmm, no. Unless you were being sarcastic, in which case feel to have a laugh at my expense.
Guest Ram Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Could always do a Hogan and bring his return as Diesel, and have a nostalgia run around. He could be the Hogan of Raw! ...
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 and then the nWo can become nWoDX Ummmmmmm, no. Unless you were being sarcastic, in which case feel to have a laugh at my expense. I was not being serious. but I could try and make an nWo DX theme, with the DX theme vocals and the nWo theme soundtrack.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 off topic but rermember when the DX band sang the national anthem to start a wrestlemania and got booed to shit
Guest jester Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Well, it's good to hear surgery went well. I'm not exactly rooting for a return to the ring, but I always thought he worked the stick pretty well. If, god forbid, the NWO is still around when he recovers, he can be the mouth. They've already go Micheals to be the mouth. They don't need two. I honestly don't know where he can go from here. They can't hype his comeback because they already just did it. He can't wrestle when he comes back. The only thing I can possibly think of is him becoming the mouthpiece of a new stable, but who? jester
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I hope Nash won't feel any pressure to rush back before he's ready, even though I doubt he will.
Guest thefrenchargel Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 nash needs to come back one more time and break his hip
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Is Nash planning on returning to the ring, or is this it. His legs where shot before the injury, we've all seen HHH since he's returned, he hasn't been the same Can Nash get *ANY* worse? Honestly? Is it humanly possible to SUCK THAT BAD? Stick to mic work Big Sexy. This has been the Taker Mark
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Only thing I can see Nash doing when he comes back is being the mouthpiece/leader/manager of a wrestler or a stable. And I've only got 2 ideas for that so far.. 1) He gets guys from nWo to jump shit to his "nWo wolf pac"... unless HHH and HBK get together and turn the nWo into DX 3.0, in which case he could come back and give us an nWo / DX feud we all would haved marked out big time for in 1998 :-) or 2) He starts wearing a Bear Bryant hat and really plays it up as "coach" of the natural born thrillers (or whatever you'd like to call a group of young guys just out of OVW) Actually... Kevin Nash in a Bear Bryant hat playing a coach would be pretty darn funny.
Guest buffybeast Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 nash needs to come back one more time and break his hip Damn dude isn't that a bit harsh?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Find some big beefy berzerker type from the territories and bring back Vinnie Vegas as his trademark rich benefactor. Just wink-wink-nudge-nudge that it's Nash every four months or so. Then at WrestleMania 19, Vinnie reveals himself as Nash and squashes (insert Smark favorite here) , then retires right afterwards and actually takes the damn heavyweight belt with him. .......And then I wake up, with a bead of cold sweat dripping off my brow.
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I guess HHH has to join the nWo now...either that, or can the nWo. I vote for #1. It's not like HHH has anything better to do. Ummm... no. The nWo is done. It's been over since WMX-8. Nash just needs to retire now, maybe he can work the booth for HEAT.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Dr. James Andrews informed World Wrestling Entertainment officials that Nash’s recovery will be slow and extensive, Just like a Nash match! LOL!!!!!!! {{{I honestly don't know where he can go from here. They can't hype his comeback because they already just did it. He can't wrestle when he comes back. Guest Prince Paul Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I like your avatar fearhavoc...it's making me hungry, if ya know what I mean.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I'm rather late and didn't want to post in the way over-populated OAONT, but didn't any of you, like me, sense something was going to go wrong when Nash came in and said "HHH if you don't accept, then what I do to Booker tonight, I'm going to do to you" I thought to myself, either Nash is going to completely bury Booker (BAD) or he's not, make himself look like a pussy and negate the whole HHH fears nWo thing they were trying (BAD) I knew something was up, he jinxed it. Good lord I never expected that. He went down so slow almost like he was trying to just shake it off and continue through with the punch until he finally hit the mat. I know Nash is slow in the ring, but there are some guys in the WWE right now that could carry him quite well and he is a big name that I would have liked to see in a few nice matchups never done before, before his retirement. He never got the initial push into a program, and when the trio of the nWo arrived HE seemed like the tool, which was odd. His last WWE run has really put shame to his career.
