Who gets the observer?

Can someone who gets the observer shed some light on the following things that the site says the issue contains:

- A huge angle with John Cena that was nixed last week

- Who nixed it and why

- The reaction backstage once word got out

Thank you.

The Angle was that Cena would slap Vince in the face rather than Jericho. He would get near fall after near fall (in his match with Jericho) until Chris had to cheat to win.

HHH went to Vince and got it changed ,saying that no one should touching Vince untill after SummerSlam, except for Hogan.

Heyman and Patterson who came up with the angle were very unhappy and there was major heat between HHH and the other wrestlers.

Everyone said to Pat that it was a good idea.

The general felling is that HHH sees the potential in Cena and wants to hold him back.

Thats the general jist of what happend, hope that helps.

(with apolgies to Watership Down =p )

Once upon a time there was a rabbit burrow.

It was another typical morning in the rabbit burrow, and most the rabbits were happy to be inside. But one rabbit, the John Cena rabbit, wanted to go outside. "I want to see what's out there!" he said.

There was rumors of a whole world beyond the burrow. Supposedly there was fields green grass and fresh vegetables. Being rabbits, they couldn't think of a name for it, so they just called it "over."

John Cena rabbit's plea was overheard by the Kurt Angle rabbit. "You know, I know where the tunnel is that gets out of here, and you seem like a nice enough guy" the Kurt rabbit said.

"You can get me over?" asked the Cena rabbit. "Well, I can try" Kurt rabbit responded. So that afternoon the Kurt Rabbit guided the Cena rabbit through the tunnel system, avoiding dead ends and perilous traps. Soon, it seemed like being over could happen at any time.

At last, they reached the end of the tunnels. Cena rabbit dashed his way to the hole and... Bumped his head! "Oh no!" cried the Kurt rabbit. He was well aware of what this meant, and knew that nobody would be going over for a long time.

Outside, a pane of glass, large enough to cover the hole, was being held in place by a heavy, VERY muscular rabbit which was sitting on it.

The large rabbit could feel the soft shakes of the glass as it bounced off every attempt made by those underneath to get through.

"Goddamn they're pesky today," muttered the HHH rabbit.

Is that legit about HHH/Cena thing, or are you just screwing around & HHHating?

LOL!

Then the Anglesault rabbit commented that the Kurt rabbit has no business trying to help the John Cena rabbit in the 1st place.

Perhaps Meltz is HHHating now?

If it is true...why does HHH say what happens on Smackdown? Isn't he a WRESTLER? Was he even in the building?

I totally agree with this actually. Cena has been on WWE for like 2 weeks. He sure as hell shouldn't be attacking Vince after 2 weeks. Smacking Vince wouldn't have gotten him any more over than smacking Jericho, since the end result was still him jobbing to Jericho. Face it, most people don't care HOW you jobbed, just that you jobbed.

Guest Nezbyte

Meh, the end result was the same. As long as he gets the same PUSH it doesnt matter.

The Rabbit story was great ... and i like HHH

It doesn't make HHH look so good. But I'd be glad if they ceased Vince's involvement in angles completely.

I'm not sure if the change of plans hurt Cena at all. But Jericho didn't come out of it looking so hot. Though it's still better than using Vince to get heat.

But HHH's involvement makes me a bit uncomfortable with the whole situation.

What do you mean Cena shouldn't be attacking Vince? Shit, that gives Vince, Cole, Tazz, Cena, Angle, Me, My Dog, My mailman, and 15 whores down on 96th Street the opportunity to scream over and over again about how John Cena has RUTHLESS......AGREESION! I wish somebody would use that RUTHLESS AGRESSION to stab these assholes who say that on TV in the neck with a fork.

I agree that Cena shouldn't be attacking Vince-it's just too soon in his career

OMG that was the funniest thing I've read in a long time. The rabbit story rules!

If it's true, here's my take.

it doesn't matter if Cena striking Vince was 100% the wrong thing to do.

Triple H has no business pointing this out.

No wrestler should go be able to over the head of the writers and be able to change a story line. If i was Heyman i would be ticked of for him doing that.

The Rabbit story is gold. Jobber you should put that in your sig.

At this point, is it safe to say that hhh is the greatest backstage politician of all time?

For all of the stories about him holding someone down, or re-writing storylines, or getting people fired/demoted, if even half of them are true he's played the politics game better than anyone. I'd like to think that it's all net-conspiracy theories but I'm having a harder and harder time not believing the stories.

And it'll be awfully interesting if him and Steph ever break up in real life ...

I did get the story from the observer so i guess there is some truth to it.

Exactly. They should be able to have input into stories that involve them, but the ability to come along and kill an angle like that is wrong.

I actually agree with not doing the Cena angle. Hogan/Vince is basically set for Summerslam, so why should Cena get involved? Makes no sense. Keep Cena slapping Vince til after Summerslam or whenever.

 Funniest thing I've read all week

Anyways, this is a little too typical. Don't ever say Triple H doesn't hold new, talented wrestlers down.

If Triple H shouldn't have said something about it, who should have and who would have said something about it? I agree that Cena shouldn't have slapped Vince, but I doubt anyone would have said anything.

I wonder if this was more anti Jericho than anti Cena.

Jericho is the one who came out looking like a chump.

And HHH had a hand in it.

Go figure.

And I don't care how bad the idea is...HHH wasn't involved in the angle...and has NO BUSINESS trying to be.

Guest El Psycho Diablo

Y'know..

Saying that Cena shouldn't be "slapping Vince this early in his career" sounds REALLY like that "pay your dues"crap everyone blasts the WWE about..

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly

Why would he come in for two weeks and start slapping his boss around?

Guest LesnarLunatic

Go figure. HHH is still trying to screw Jericho over. He will continue to screw Jericho over until one of them leaves. Knowing how HHH has his hand in Vince's pocket, the man who will be leaving first will be Chris Jericho, after of course, HHH kills all his credibility.

The bookers and writers should be determining this on their own. If this story is true, Triple H basically came around and shot down someone HE should be answering to. One lone wrestler should not have this kind of say.

Wrestlers involved in the angle should have a say. Triple H wasn't involved, so he should shaddup and go spit some water.

Surprise, surprise. Triple H has his hand in making Jericho look bad, again.

I am seriously tired of this shit.

I fucking hate Triple H.

Jester's right - even though we may or may not think Cena deserved to be put into such an angle when he hasn't "paid his dues", the bottom line is that HHH had no business either greenlighting it or killing it. As a wrestler, he should NOT have any say in any angle or storyline which does not personally effect his character. If this story is true (and since it's Meltz, I'll say that it's very possible that it is), than HHH has greatly overstepped his bounds. But what else is new, right?

Oh, and Jobber - you are my hero. A Watership Down reference??? NICE. :D

Guest The Son of Sting

It has nothing to do with Cena slaping Vince really, HHH just wants to hold Cena down and make Jericho look bad. I doubt HHH would have stoped the angle if X-Pac or HBK got to slap Vince.
