Man, I can't imagine how old Jimmy Snuka is. He might be a little older than Hogan and Flair, or maybe a bit younger. I'm suprised the legend is still wrestling. I'd semi-mark out to see the Superfly back in the ring. Hell, it'd probably be better than a BigShow/Xpac tag team match.

i seriously doubt that they will get into snuka's private life like that. back when his girlfriend died i know vince helped snuka out a lot and then kept the story under wraps so i doubt he would bring it up live on tv.

 

i liked reading that interview. i was never really much of a snuka fan and haven't seen much of his work but i know he is a respected legend so it was a nice read.

Last time I saw Snuka in the ring was him wrestling Tommy dreamer in ECW around 94 Stall o Mania but he was the heel and was working the crowd, even threatening them. Dreamer though leaped into the crowd where Snuka was yelling at and took the kids hat ad wrestled with him a few minutes. OF course Snuka won after 2 or 3 Snuka Splashes off the top with Dreamer bleeding from the mouth.

I saw Snuka v. Beefcake about 2 yrs ago in the main event of some show. It was as you can all imagine an excellent match.

There's a Coliseum Video tape that does a special on him and he's just out in no-man's land. Damnit, I can't think of it. I want to see World Tour 1990, but I dont' remember.

 

He cuts the stupidest promo I have ever heard, and he makes no sense. Think Warrior with a really deep voice. He just rambles a bunch of shit. Poor guy.

You name all these wrestlers that come here from all over the world; you name it we got it. And standing here right before you I am one of the Polynesians that represents all the Polynesian islands.

 

Ripper Collins, we go back in your time brother, that you are one of the greatest and still is. But ladies and gentlemen, you name it, we got it; but there is only one thing that I just like to know deep down in my heart: what is going on here? I want to know. I have to know. Because that's the only way to find out who's got what and who's got who.

 

Now the most important thing to everyone in professional wrestling, Ripper Collins, is challenging and getting into the ringcircle. Because for one thing everybody is challenging each other for one thing...for one thing, and what that one thing is Ripper Collins, and that's titles. Titles are all over the world, you name the titles that's 'round the world, it might be too much. But let me tell you one thing, it only take faith and confidence to get inside to that ringcircle wherever you at and fight. If it's here in Hawaii, which is so important and so special to me. Hawaiian Islands is what we represent; I represent the Polynesian islands, and if anybody think in their mind that they could come from the mainland, here to my part of my country, and think that they can come and try to demolish the Polynesian islands and and try to take away what they think that does not belong to them---what belongs to us is what we gotta keep in the Hawaiian Islands. Ho-hano, brother.
