Guest treble charged Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Ok, say that NWA TNA goes under and Jeff Jarrett is free to go anywhere he wants (which I assume he is now, anyway), does the WWE take him? I mean, he was perhaps the most over heel in their company when he left for WCW in '99, and he did appear to burn a lot of bridges with the way he left, but, you know what they say about time healing all wounds. Anyway, discuss.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Jeff still have burnt bridges over the fact that he held Vince up for more money to job the IC title to Chyna in 1999.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I dunno...Jarrett holds a lot of heat towards the WWE and vice versa. I think if they think they can do business with Jarrett, then they will try. If not, they won't. I'd like to see Jarrett show up, but I doubt it.
Guest treble charged Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Ok, but if you're the WWE, do you take him back? He can be a viable mid-card threat, and can put on good matches, which is someone that you always need.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I dunno...if I knew he was in it for the long run, yes...but how do you know he wouldn't pull the same shit again? Say he wants to get out of wrestling or something, his contract expires and he's holding a title, a big match coming up, whatever and you have to pay him the big bucks? Jarrett's one of the better heels out there, so I guess I would take him back as long as he means serious business. Then again, who can blame Jarrett for being an asshole and wanting all that money? He was feuding with Chyna (no offense papacita) for the IC title for god's sake. So to answer the question, Yes...I would take him back as long as he meant to be serious, and the company can put away the heat from the past. If Hogan can return to the WWF....ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE can.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 They won't take him back. Anyone who beats Vince is done.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Jeff wouldn't leave Dad and NWA TNA.. If it becomes a success Jeff won't move a budge, because you know he will Inherit it. no matter how much the WWE would offer him i doubt he'd move. Probably sees himself as the NWA's Ric Flair. and its tough work trying to build up to be the Competition to the WWE empire
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I liked him, always have. I'm sure he is too loyal to his father and this promotion to jump ship. If NWA quickly went under, I'd assume he'd be open for negotiations. He stated not too long ago that he and Vince were on speaking terms and all was well. If I were Vince I'd be pleased to welcome him back. Pure wrestler who can get over and is a great heel. I think he'd make an excellent addition to the Raw Roster and could compete for another 4 or 5 years.
Guest treble charged Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Then again, who can blame Jarrett for being an asshole and wanting all that money? He was feuding with Chyna (no offense papacita) for the IC title for god's sake. That feud (along with the whole 'women beating' gimmick) got Jarrett more over then he had ever been before. He was by far the top midcarder, and had even more heat than HHH (the biggest heel in the WWF at that point). The heat he got from that feud lasted long enough into his WCW run that he was a believeable champ, and a decent enough main event heel. Sure, Russo killed all of that heat with the Arquette experiment, so it would take a lot of building him up to get him as over as he was at one point, but I think he would be a sound investment.

But considering he went from being rumored to feuding with Steve Austin for the WWF title 2 years early and now your feuding with a woman...wouldn't you be somewhat pissed? Sure, he got big time heel heat...but couldn't there be a different way to create heat?
Guest Brian Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Ehh, Jarrett did the same to Austin in USWA. What goes around, comes around.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Could he be a WWE main eventer now?
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I'd hire Jarrett back. A good worker, he can get over and have good matches drawing good heat. This is what the WWE needs. Although, Vince would probably job him out and get even.
