If Smackdown ratings continue to fall...

Should we be prepared for a HHH desire video? 40 minutes of HHH airtime a week? A HHH world title push?

Damn people, start watching, this is starting to look scary.

I think by later today will find out. If Smackdown gets a 2.0 again, then they are in deep shit.

I know this is UPN, and that their ratings suck. But, how long until Smackdown gets canned? Or is it safe for a while?

I think it's pretty much assured to be safe considering that Viacom does have stake in UPN. Unless they really, really bomb.

Even at 2.0, which is by far SmackDown's all time low rating, it's still one of the highest rated shows on UPN. When SK said something like "if any other show got a 2.9, it would be cancelled instantly" a few months back, he was way off. That's true of shows on NBC, ABC or CBS, but not UPN. If any other UPN show consistantly got a 2.9, UPN would be freaking thrilled.

So basically, SmackDown could start throwing out 2.0s every week and still be safe.

I think the only UPN shows that are close to Smackdown in ratings are Buffy and Star Trek. I'm not sure if they are higher or lower.

Enterprise is usually a little higher for new shows, Buffy is usually about the same. But during the summer, everything is reruns except for SD, so SD is way above everything.

"Smackdown finished last night with a 3.3 final rating, which has to be a huge blow for a company hoping that the return of Rock would spark a rise in the show. Instead, the much-hyped return led to the seventh lowest rating in the history of the show. Three of those seven are holiday ratings that probably shouldn't be fairly counted. "

Be afraid, Vince. Be very afraid.

I think they should move Smackdown! from UPN to a different station such as USA or TNN b/c a lot of people don't even get UPN and those who do, don't watch it.

I would prefer it if Smackdown! was cancelled. Or they could always move it to TTN and show it live on Tuesday.

If Smackdown ratings continue to fall, then Vince and co. should just pull the plug on the show. Yes, that leaves one major show for A LOT of talent, but right now the WWE needs to trim the fat, on camera and backstage as well. That is all.

Except for the fact that tv time would be cut down for a lot of stars...getting rid of Smackdown might be good.

With 2 big shows, and 3-4 small shows a week and a ppv every month the storylines are just too short. The shows are all used to build up the next ppv instead of furthering storylines.

I know it's all been said before.

Wow, if everyone were on Raw there could be at least 3 main event quality matches a week, with variety!
