Guest IB2BLACK Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 That's who I am thinking. That way Shane would want to actually compete against Bishoff. I mean he hasn't been on TV, in months, and he just comes back for that one segment?
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Nope, its either Dusty Rhodes or Mike Sanders repeat after me Dusty Rhodes or Mike Sanders!
Guest art_vandelay Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Ugh.... Can you possibly pick any worser choices? The person who leads SmackDown has to be an equivalent to Eric Bischoff on some level. Shane McMahon? Hopefully they've learned from the Invasion, Shane has absolutely no credibility to lead anything. Dusty Rhodes or Mike Sanders? You heard how the crowd reacted to Eric fuckin' Bischoff tonight, do you honestly think they remember either Dusty Rhodes or Mike Sanders? Personally, I don't see anybody they can pick to be a successful GM of SmackDown, other than Vince himself, which would not make sense under current storylines. I don't know, while they're bringing back everybody involved with wrestling, why not bring Dave MacLean from WOW. Yeah, there's a leader for ya.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I hope it's Shane. Although most people hate him, the guy takes huge ass fucking bumps, that makes MICK FOLEY shake, just to entertain you fans. I also liked Shane.
Guest Eric Draven Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 "You heard how the crowd reacted to Eric fuckin' Bischoff tonight, do you honestly think they remember either Dusty Rhodes or Mike Sanders?" You can't really think no one remembers Dusty.
Guest y2jailbait Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Some didnt even remember Bischoff! Hell, no one even remember's sanders probably!
Guest wwF1587 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I see Shane being the most logicasl choice. I mean he did call Bischoff a parasite on RAW. Both have "owned" WCW. Plus it would give Shane a reason to be on TV. I swear I dont care who it is, but VINCE if it is STEPHANIE, I WILL PUT MY HEAD THROUGH A FN MIRROR! Anyone but Stephanie!!!!!
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I say Vince makes himself GM of Smackdown because Bischoff was talking shit about him tonight. Monday night wars part deux!
Guest buffybeast Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I wouldn't mind Shane as the SD GM as long as he didn't hog up camera time from the wrestlers. The GM will NOT be Below Average Mike Sanders. I bet 90% of the audience wouldn't even know who that sucker was.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I kind of hope that its another big surprise (to anyone who doesn't read spoilers...) Honestly I can't think of many people that would be a big surprise..
Guest the pinjockey Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 My guess is that it will be Stephanie and it is also my prediction that at that point I will be turning SD off.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I suspect Linda will be on SD & will tell Vince that since he made such a controversial choice in Bischoff for Raw, she and/or the Board will be making the SD choice, for the health of the company or whatnot. That would allow Shane to slide in and get beyond that whole pesky "You tried to put me out of business!" angle.
Guest nikowwf Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Mick Foley. Has to be someone the fans will rally behind. If we are doing RAW vs. SMACKDOWN, the fans need to support the Smackdown GM. I think FOLEY vs. BISCHOFF works. Stephanie vs. Bischoff will result in me turning off the channel. No joke, no doubt....turning off the channel. Niko
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I think FOLEY vs. BISCHOFF works. "Hey, Eric? Remember the Cactus Jack amnesia storyline!? That stuff was great, wasn't it? And how about the Germany tour? Who was the only guy in the group who could speak German? Mick Foley. And how many shows did you put him on? NONE!" That actually would be pretty amusing. Mick had pretty much nothing but disaster in WCW.
Guest the pinjockey Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Ugh I did not even think about a Steph vs. Bischoff feud. I was just going to turn off the tv from steph herself but her and Bisch feuding could quite possibly be the worst thing I ever heard.
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Foley would be good. Keep Dusty out of the WWE, at least off my TV. No one will know Sanders. Didn't Shane try to "focus on the in ring product" when the InVasion flopped last year? So I'm sure he'll hog up camera time. FOLEY IS GOOD. "Monday night wars part deux! " Yeah except on Monday and uh.....Thursday.
Guest mach7 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Yeah like what we need is another McMahon on TV. I don't catch many Smackdown's these days anyways, but if Steph or Shane get that GM position, I will make NO EFFORT to watch Smackdown ever again. I'd go with Foley. It's logical. Remember when he won the WWF Title on RAW. Remember what Bischoff had Schiavone say on Nitro? Where he gave away the result and said that Foley couldn't put asses in seats. Foley. It's logical, IMO. But will it happen? Probably not.
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 My guess is Bret Hart. They'd save that for RAW, where spoilers would ruin it, just like they did tonight with Bischoff. Plus, Bret would be gimping down to the ring.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I can't wait until Bischoff decides he wants a rematch from Slamboree 98. I dont figure Foley will be the SD GM.
