I know Bradshaw's from TX and so am I, but that belt was just weird. Hey and it's nice to see Johnny the Bull, what are your thoughts on the Bull?

I heard they changed it on last week's Smackdown tapings. The Bull made an appearance on Heat just recently. He wrestled Tommy Dreamer actually. He came out to this cliche Italian music. If this had been the old days of the WWF, he probably would have been singing "Volare!" or "O solo mio!" jester

All Johnny has is the stupid catch phrase "Fer Git Bout It" there has to be better talent from OVW or HWA, that could of gotten tv time, but Johnny gets 15 secs to kiss ass to Bischoff instead.

He has been on Sunday Night Heat the last couple of weeks and he actually has theme music by a real band now, a name for his finisher, and he has been winning. It looks like they are going to push him soon.

Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I have the same attitude thus far to WWE Johnny the Bull and O'Haire: blah. These two rocked in WCW; Johnny was a great brawler, and his hardcore stuff with Terry Funk was the best thing the WCW division ever saw. O'Haire was and, from the looks of it, still is the perfect tag wrestler, as he's a bit green for a singles run, but has a great look and sure has a presence. The problem is that their styles seemed to be trimmed down, and they're falling into the same patterns as Batista, Orton, Stasiak...anyone who's appeared/reappeared in the last few months and not yet developed any particular unique ring qualities. In the two Heat matches I've seen O'Haire wrestle, he's been moving slowly and not going up top at all. This is a guy who can legit do the "big guy who moves like a cruiserweight" thing, so let him do it, man. I admit that he has a decent safe Death Valley Driver, but right now he's all sidekicks and nasty clotheslines. He and Batista would make a nice, scary-looking, boring tag team, now that I think about it.

Anyway, about the new Hardcore belt, does this mean that Bradshaw will be holding onto the belt for a while? I hope not, although I did like him coming out of nowhere for the clothesline to get the title back. That was the first "24/7" segment I've liked in a long time.

And now I find it significantly less than amusing when Bradshaw does the same thing. Double Standard? Nah, Bradshaw just plain doesn't entertain me.

Johnny Da Bull is your basic Vanilla Gorilla let's all oh and ah at his big muscles and one catch phrase. credit whoever came up with the Vanilla Gorilla name for it should be the new name for the WWE Natural Born Thrillers that came up from OVW and/or worked in WCW.

Bull Horns??? what were they thinking. If they wanted to turn it into the Texas Championship, because all tough hardcore guys are from Texas, they should have had Bradshaw come out and do it like Storm did for the Canadian Championship.

And Bradshaw can keep it for the rest of his life for all I care. At least if he keeps it they'll stop using it to ruin the new guys who come in and feel as if they have to fight for the lowest belt in the company to get over (Tazz, Saturn, Mike Awesome, Raven, Rhyno, etc.)

Guest mach7 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I was thinking (I mentioned this in a Heat thread earlier this week) that the Hardcore title could become "regional".. say if whatever wrestler wins it, takes it "to his region." If Raven wins it, it becomes the Jersey Hardcore Championship and they replace the sticker. If Matt Hardy won it, it'd become the Carolina Hardcore Championship, and so-on. For title history purposes it would still be just the Hardcore Championship.. I dunno, if they're gonna be all lame with this belt and give us no explanation, they might as well do something INTERESTING with it..

And i belive that O'hare is a bit bigger than Angle.
