Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 What if Chris Jericho was in HHH's posistion, and HHH was stuck where Jericho is, how would you guys feel about that? Now obviously it would be great in terms of Jericho being pushed to the moon, but I am NOT talking about that aspect. What I'm talking about, is this... ...what if Jericho had tons of power in WWE, and was able to give such imput that in turn would hold people down. Would you STILL not think it is right, or would you all be ok with it in that instance. Let's say for the sake of this that both guys were exactly the same as they are now, just, the "power" is flip-flopped around. I'm sure you'd be happy with Jericho being on top, and HHH being held down, but would you be ok with the WAY HHH would be held down, that being, Jericho abusing his power and giving feedback where he should not be doing so? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Anglesault Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Are the positions totally flipped? Is Jericho the established, slow, boring, oft-injured shitty face with 30 pounds of water weight and HHH a fast, promising star of the future? I'd don't agree with abusing power, but it would be just stupid to push someone like HHH (as we know him now)who had no upside.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Abusing power sucks. Period. Any time someone gives input into angles they have no business sticking their nose in, it's bad. Jericho, Benoit, or God (Nash) himself. I don't agree with it.
Guest Downhome Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 No, Jericho is one hell of a worker still, and HHH just returned from an injury too early and has become very bad over the past six months. Everything is the same, it's just the power has switched between them.
Guest mickberna Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I honestly don't think HHH is abusing any power. He's obviously worked his way to greatness after being the scapegoat after Hall and Nash took off, and this was while he was nailing the she-beast. Yeah, I think he sucks as a face, and yeah, I think he should realize he's supposed to be a wrestler and not Mr. Universe, but I think he has every right to tell the guys who fuck around to get their shit together. There are few guys who have the respect he has to warrant criticism... HHH has it. Austin probably had it. Taker has it. Ric Flair has it. As far as active wrestlers go, that's probably about it. They're called veterans. They know the business. They have every right to rip on people. However, IF HHH or anyone else were to abuse their power to constantly put themselves over, then YES, that would be wrong. It all depends on your perception, I guess.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Jericho is doing more of a favor to the company then soley for himself. Like when Flair didn't want to Job to Luger, so I don't know.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 While, like BML, I can't agree with the use of politics, ever, since it was going to happen anyway, at least there'd be some decent matches at the top so I'd probably complain less. But in this mirror universe, I'd probably also be named "ClotheslineFromHell" and be a huge Bradshaw mark, so who knows how differently I'd view things?
