Guest NoCalMike Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Well with Vengence less than one week away, I think this match Could,(not necessarily) hold a big key to the following 6 months in the WWE. I am wondering how you think the WWE will play this out and/or how you would do it. Personally, I unfortunately think the WWE is looking to go in the Brock Lesnar direction, mainly because of his "impressive" physique. I am hoping that somehow McMahon will realize what an asset he has in RVD, and finally decide to do something about it. I think Brock could win the IC belt, but lose the #1 contendership to RVD in the following Raw broadcasts leading up to Summerslam. I am hoping..........
Guest Flyboy Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I am hoping.......... Who isn't? Or they could kill two birds with one stone.. 2 Falls Match. First pin for IC Title, the second pin for SS Title shot. But, it's this Sunday... so I doubt it. I REALLY want to see RVD start his push here, but I know it's not going to happen. Simply, because Vince, JR... all have hard-ons for Brock. Unless like a huge SWERVE~! happens like Heyman turning on RVD (thus making him heel) it ain't happening. ... but, we can hope.
Guest NoCalMike Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 it's funny because I don't hate Brock, nor do I think he would make a horrible champion DOWN THE ROAD, but the plain and simple fact is Brock IS NOT OVER......I mean how can Vince think Brock is good for business until AT LEAST he gets over. Unless Vince has some masterminded scheme to get Brock over before Summerslam. So me being an RVD mark, plus the fact that the casual fans & the smarks seem to like him, makes him the perfect choice to start a ME push.
Guest Brian Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 The tease tonight with Brock hitting Undertaker did not go over well. That was where they were going, and they're going to have to make changes. Anyways they've got a really simple storyline going. RVD's never beat Brock. In fact, he's been pummeled in one match. Learned how to reverse a little in another, but not to enough success. But he got a shot in at Heyman. And he hit the five-star last night. So on Sunday, he loses. It just doesn't all come together and Heyman interferes. So the next night, RVD in a hurt state demands a match. He doesn't want the intercontinental title anymore. He wants to take something far more precious away from Brock. The shot at the title. And to win the match, RVD basically has to take out both Heyman (or Dreamer should) and Brock.

My god Brian, I hope that's what happens. When RAW ended and the SS title shot was not up for grabs, I thought "damn it!". We'll see what happens. Please let RVD get that shot, please.
