Guest Nevermortal Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Does this mean another direction change? Who's the next guy from the past that they'll sign? I'm hoping that its Koko B. Ware. [bird flap]
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Yeah Frankie!!! I'd say if the ratings aren't up next week, then they change direction again.
Guest Angle-plex Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 GOLDBERG~! I can't wait to see Triple H vs Goldberg. That'll be a ***** classic.
Guest AM The Kid Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I hope they use Bischoff as a long-term fix instead of a ratings boost.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Will Goldberg become everyone's favorite wrestler on here if he ends HHH's career like he did Bret Hart?
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Will Goldberg become everyone's favorite wrestler on here if he ends HHH's career like he did Bret Hart? Goldberg didn't screw Bret, Bret...bah, its been done to death.
Guest Steviekick Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Will Goldberg become everyone's favorite wrestler on here if he ends HHH's career like he did Bret Hart? Hehehehehe...what an odd world
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Bischoff better pray he helps the ratings or he'll be feed to Bradshaw.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Bradshaw - YER NEXT RABBI GOLDBERG! HOOWEEE!
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 There is no way Bischoff is going to spike the ratings. How many marks out there even know who he is? He doesn't wrestle. I look at this more of him being an idea guy. I'm hoping he can inject some story lines and help Vince creat ideas. If they're expecting his mere presence to increase ratings, they're doomed to fail.
Guest mach7 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I hope they use Bischoff as a long-term fix instead of a ratings boost. Well, Bischoff said that they've been talking for over a year, so hopefully this wasn't some last minute signing, and they actually have a plan for him..
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 There is no way Bischoff is going to spike the ratings. How many marks out there even know who he is? He got a pretty big PoP last night so some must know who he is. If it was Smackdown, I would swear they were edited in.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Hey- you stole my Koko B Ware idea! Lousy ingrate
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I don't see your name on it, Bobby boy.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Norman Smiley = Ratings Smiley would be awesome with the Booker T/Goldust Duo. Or, is that dead now?
Guest bob_barron Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I mentioned in the RAW thread. Yea- bring Norman Smiley back!
Guest jester Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 This show with Bischoff will not spike the ratings. Let's assume there are legions of marks who would start watching Raw if only Eric was back (which is questionable to say the least), they wouldn't have been watching because nobody knew he was going to be there. Ratings will gradually climb as word gets around that the show is improving, so you have to wait a few shows to see if the ratings climb. A lot of things have to occur for that to happen. heavily hyped returns won't do it, unless that person actually does something interesting when they get back. jester
Guest Frankie Williams Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 He got a pretty big PoP last night so some must know who he is. If it was Smackdown, I would swear they were edited in. I was at Raw last night and trust me. The pop wasnt that big. The initial reaction was OK but it was so friggin hard to understand what he was saying. The sound system really sucked and the fans chanting What didnt help. I just got finished watching the show on tape and it pretty much came off as it did at the arena.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Bischoff said he's gonna be on Smackdown, right? I wonder if Jericho will talk to him backstage?

Guest razazteca Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Sign El Dandy and Dusty Rhodes just to do commentary for his matches.
Guest El Gigante Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 It's simple, one man The Berzerker. HUSS! HUSS! HUSS! HUSS!
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 Vince SHOULD know that it will take a few weeks to reflect in the ratings, but he can be an impatient man, as time has told.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I doubt Bischoff will have raised this Raw's ratings. People can't tune in to something if they don't know it's going to happen. The people who tuned into this week's Raw were those who decided to keep watching after last week's disaster. I suspect that number will be very very low.
