Guest wwF1587 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Well, I thought I read somehere that ppv prices were going to drop down but looking ahead on my cable system to Sunday, Vengence is STILL 35 dollars damnit. So will you shell out your hard earned money for this month's ppv? Man I am one of those guys who orders EVERY ppv no matter how bad it is. I guess the card could be okay. The triple threat match will be fine if Rock and Angle work their a--'s off. The table match could be good with the wrestling of beniot and eddie and the bumping of them all. RVD/Lesner, eh I dont know, I hope RVD pulls out all the stops make this match good, cause I haven't been all that impressed with Lesner. Jericho/Cena from what I hear will be good. Hogan/Edge VS Team Canada, well Team Canada better win and Hogan better only be in there for a short while and leave it to the young talent to put on a impressive match.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Hmmm I prob will buy it- But if Booker T does the job I'm gonna be PISSED.
Guest pappajacks Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 The card is the weakest PPV card in a very long time.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I usually see or order every PPV, but I'm going away this weekend, so, no. I'm not even really interested any more. I didn't watch Raw or SmackDown this week, I'll see how long this keeps up. I've never given up on them in my 4+ years of being a fan, except for about a week last year during the 'Power Trip' angle.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 You know...If Jericho vs Edge werestill on the card...maybe But no. Nothing worth paying for here.
Guest SteveyP93 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Hell yeah I'm ordering it. Great card. I'll never miss a WWE pay-per-view unless the main event is Kurrgan vs. The Wall in an Iron Man match. Even then, I'll buy it as long as there's a decent undercard. WWE 4 life.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Since I don't have to pay for it, I will be watching this Sunday.
Guest SteveyP93 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 If you don't order the pay-per-views, that's like watching a movie and then popping it out when there's 15 minutes left. You're missing the best part of the product. And if $35 is a significant portion of your "hard-earned" money, then I suggest you look at other career options.
Guest Smeghead Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I was actually going to buy it...until Stephanie showed up. Vince ain't getting any of my money for a while.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 i wont be ordering it cos uni goes back on monday (ppv's are on live at mon noon due to time delay). but even if uni werent on, i wouldnt waste my money on this crap.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 A: That belongs in NHB. B: If you think that is a great card...you belong in an institution
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I'm buying Sugar Shane Mosley Vs. Vernon Forrest instead. GO FORREST GO
Guest the pinjockey Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 How good is the vengeance card? Title match: WWF 3-ways usually suck RVD/Lesnar : Been there done that wasn't special Tag title match : Edge plays face in peril 90% of the match no thanks Jericho/Cena : Cena is showing less and less CW match : The dreaded WWF style rears its ugly head again HHH/NWO segment : 35 dollars for a promo no thanks I forget what else there is. There is nothing wrong with walking out on a shitty movie.

If you cant understand this than i suggest you get some fucking glasses.
Guest Human Fly Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I'm leaning towards no. I didn't order Judgement Day, and was glad after I read the results. I ordered KOTR and the best part of that was Rock/Booker/Goldust. This one looks like a stinker. Cena will probably go over Jericho, none of the matches look that good, and the HHH interview will probably be close to the top of the card. No thanks.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I ordered KOTR and the best part of that was Rock/Booker/Goldust. Segment-wise. The best part of KOTR was RVD-Jericho.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Man, you guys are POOR. No offense. I'm gonna quote Ben Affleck from "Boiler Room" on this one: "Don't tell me that you can't put together $35 (He actually said $1,000) because there is NO such thing!" I think maybe this is why the WWE doesn't respect the Internet fans...they aren't very good customers. When I go to a WWE show, the fans I am sitting with have paid $200-500 (Ticketmaster) and even as high as $600 (eBay) per seat, and in addition to that they are buying T-shirts -- usually multiple T-shirts -- as well as programs and other merchandise. They all order the pay-per-views religiously, they shop at Shopzone, etc. The Internet fans are generally too bitter, too young, too poor, or all of the above to make the WWE any $$. And the WWE is a business. It seems like a lot of Internet fans just bitch about what they see on free TV, and spend what little money they have on puro tape trading. Flame me if you want, that's my two cents.
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Meh, probably, though i'm not overly excited about it.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I have not ordered a pay per view since Survivor Series from last year, so I feel I have no need to buy this one. The product seems to diminish in quality each and every month. No point in wasting $35. That is all.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Yes I will be ordering it......because me and like 4 friends always split the cost. And Smarkzone just shut up. 35 dollars is a lot for a teenager with a part time job trying to make car insurance payments and trying to keep gas in the car when the prices are absurd. We all can't own an internet site that sells crappy t-shirts.
Guest Kinetic Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I haven't missed a PPV since KOTR last year--and even that was because of a glitch in my cable box and I promptly ordered the replay on Tuesday--so I don't see any reason to break the streak now. This could be the sleeper show of the year and stuff.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 35 dollars is a lot for a teenager with a part time job trying to make car insurance payments and trying to keep gas in the car when the prices are absurd. Been there, done that. And for the record, my state has the worst gas prices in the nation. I've been working crappy jobs since I was 16, and I could always afford the WWF pay-per-views. Hell, back then I was ordering the WWF, WCW, AND ECW pay-per-views.
