Guest jester Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're pushing Brock as a heel, but has he done anything particularly heelish? They first introduced him by having him just show up and beat the hell out some JTTS, and they had him do that long before he actually had a match. Ok, fine. Since then, what? The only thing I can think of that's really heelish is attacking RVD during the Raw Episode From Hell, which you could argue was justified since RVD "urinated" on Brock's KOTR coronation and gave his manager the Van Terminator. The other thing was nearly attacking Trish Stratus when they were doing that Heyman-is-a-pervert angle. They seem to have forgotten that angle, possibly because Heyman would get more heat than Brock. Since then, has Brock done anything particularly heelish? Heyman has sure, but not Brock. I think that's one of the reasons that he's not getting much heat. Heyman goes around calling him "the next big thing." What if BROCK went around calling himself "the next big thing?" He'd be arrogant and that might help get him over as a heel. Personally, I'd try to get Brock over with a "nothing is sacred" angle. Have him attack Hogan and stomp the shit out of him, just to show that he can and that he has utter contempt for the old guard. Keep the TKO thing, and let him do it against AA in a wheelchair or something. Kick puppies, eat babies, whatever. Personally, I'm more afraid of Steven Richards. If someone told me that guy was a serial killer, I'd believe it. By the way, when was the last time a heel knocked the hell out of one of the interviewers? Heels used to do that all the time. Mind you, I'd mark out if he kicked the hell out of Cole. jester PS: On a totally unrelated note, I think Trish Stratus would have gone massively over if she hadn't backed down in the ring when Brock was moving in on her. Just have her stubbornly hold her ground, slap Brock or kick him in the nuts, even if that meant she would have been crushed immediately afterwords. Everyone loves an underdog with an insane amount of guts.
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 He's not a "Heel" he's "a Next Big Thing"
Guest Flyboy Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 He's in a feud with biggest face on Raw. Which RVD is justified in since he was cheated out of the KOTR finals.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Until he gets any kind of reaction... Brock Lesnar is NOTHING. And you can quote me on that.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Brock Lesnar is NOTHING Correction: He is "The Next Big Thing", BAH GAWD!!!! /J.R. mode
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Brock couldnt get heat if he sat on a radiator
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 You know why Brock isn't over? Because people have seen this exact same thing before. They know where it's going. And I bet most of them probably know that HHH will be the one to beat him first. The Brock Lesnar saga is the single most predictable storyline in the history of Pro Wrestling. The only way to add intrigue is to have RVD pin him tomorrow...if only to get the undefeated Goldberg streak stigma off of him...and to give him a top foil when he wins the stupid title. That being said...Brock beats RVD when Taker's interference backfires. RVD finally beats Taker at SummerSlam in a match that means nothing to RVD anymore...because he deserves to beat Taker for the gold. Then Lesnar wins the title at SS...to lose it to HHH at a time of his choosing.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 This Rock feud for Lesnar is make or break. I mean, if you can't feud with Rock and not become a huge heel, something is wrong. I just pray he doesn't win the title, and Rock can somehow get it to someone else before he leaves for Hollywood.
