Guest Black Tiger Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Foget Steph and Bitchoff, I can name two people who would do much better in the roles of Smackdown and RAW GM. 1. DDP, he wants to be on TV but he can't work, its right there, his gimmick would be suited to a GM since whenever he made ruling he could do his not a bad thing phrase. 2. The Cat. The 3 time world Karate Champion is as charismatic as The Rock. If someone gets out of line then "somebody call my momma".
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The Cat should have been spayed long ago. He had all the personality of a tree.
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 "Somebody bettah call mah momma! Once i whoop this fat boys ass, imma need me a rahde!" Oh, that'd be fucking awesome.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 SD - Shane feuding with Bischoff (Raw)
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Make Biscoff the Raw guy and throw in Foley as the Smackdown guy. Not only would you get 2 over characters, but you'd also probably get some classic promos from Foley, seeing as how he doesn't really like uncle Eric at all. A 10 minute Foley shoot = money. Or at least entertainment
Guest The Man in Blak Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 If I saw Ernest Miller on my television screen ever again...I'd have to shoot my TV. Again. That being said, Foley would have been a great option if they would have worked it out...but I don't see Foley really being too anxious to come back to this.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 DDP on SD! would've been cool. He has a history with Bitchoff as the next door neighbor. They could play that up.....somehow......
Guest Smeghead Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Bischoff I don't really mind. But Stephanie was a terrible choice. Major logic gap, and annoying as hell. Shane would've been better. Foley would've been great (again, if he'd be willing to come back). DDP would not be a bad thing...he'd be a good thing.
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 One of the GM's should have been Dusty Rhodes.
Guest Ironman Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Bisch is okay until he gets some real power. As for the other, I was hoping for Dusty or Russo...
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I would've preferred to see Shane as SD! GM. I'd also like to see DDP, but as I said before, I wasn't sure if he'd be able to take the bumps that his character would eventually have to take, because everyone knows it's impossible to have an owner or commissioner character without a feud with a wrestler that involves taking bumps at one point or another.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I think the 2 GM's should have been Bischoff for Raw, and either Shane or Foley for Smackdown.
Guest myburninghammer Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 How about no one? The boss/commissioner/GM/etc angle is dead dead dead.
Guest Renegade Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 How about no one? The boss/commissioner/GM/etc angle is dead dead dead. I couldnt agree more
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 La Parka should have been the Chairman of one of the shows what?! you all think I'm crazy...but I marka for La Parka
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 La parka in ANY role on tv would work for me. I honestly can't say that about anyone else. I would have loved to see dusty on SD, and i'm fine with Bischoff for now cos he's a heat machine, but yes the commish angles are so lame now. Regal/Foley could have been great, shame mick left when he did.
Guest I Hate Radio Shack Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 WWE is becoming a parody of WCW WCW had NO NEW IDEAS AT ALL so they repackaged the nWo 8+ times...it's time to give UP THE FUCKING ANGLE... how about HAVING THE WRESTLERS FEUD WITH EACHOTHER AND WRITING STORYLINES ?!?!?!? IS THAT TOO HARD STEPHANIE? nobody wants you or your FATHER TO STEAL HEAT FROM THE WRESTLERS ANYMORE
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 If Russo was a GM, he could've fought John Rocker. "Yeah you, Jawn Rahcka, I'm gonna beat yo ass in Madisawn Squwaya Gahden Brotha!"
Guest Brian Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The minute they announced Bisch, Shane was the most logical opponent.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The minute they announced Bisch, Shane was the most logical opponent. Yeah, really. Stephanie is about as a believable face as William Regal is (read: not in the least)
Guest Frankie Williams Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 How great would it be if La Parka was the Raw GM and El Dandy was on SD. The could have changed the name of each show to "Lucha Libre Professionale" and the shows could have moved from TNN and UPN to Galavision!!
Guest Brian Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 They had Regal over as face for like a week during the invasion...than they turned him.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 La Parka's business decisions would be told through INTERPRUTIVE(sp?) DANCE~!
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I say they shouldn't have made any GMs in the first place. Dueling evil owners/GMs/commissioners angles are played out.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I say they shouldn't have made any GMs in the first place. Dueling evil owners/GMs/commissioners angles are played out. Yea, but that wasn't really the question was it? There has to be a owner/commissioner character, but the problem is that in the past the WWE has based too many storylines and feuds around the character. For example, let's say there's a feud between HHH and, I dunno, Chris Benoit, in a submissions only match. HHH knows he can't beat Christ Benoit in a submission match, so to soften Benoit up, he's in a handicap match or a tag match against Kane & The Big Show the show before. If there's no commissioner character for HHH to intimidate or bribe or whatever, there's no logical explanation for such a match to take place. The problem with WWE, however, is that they'd write it in so that the commissioner suddenly decides to hate Benoit too, and instead of setting up the match because of coercion by who Benoit is feuding with (HHH), would have the commissioner get directly involved in the feud, instead of standing by the sidelines like they "should". So, in that style of "aggressive evil commissioner", then yea, it's played out. But a commissioner character in and of itself isn't. Even if it was though, it wouldn't matter since we'd be getting one anyway, so might as well have fun with it.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I agree that commsh/gms/presidents/ writers on tv is stupid because on the maurgee it says WRESTLING. this is a WRESTLING show, so go out there and WRESTLE. 10 points to whomever can tell who said that. Oh and the gms, if it had to be done, should have been Bisch and Dusty. Bottom line. Screw mick foley shoots, imagine a Bisch/Dusty war of the words "It was ruthless, it was aggressive, but it was inovative" "Bistch, you be bad, be bad! You be almost as fat as the amerwican dweem himself too, if you weell" "Don't make me karate chop you fatty!" "Bwing, Bwing! I'll kick you ass like it was '85 babay! be Bad Be Bad!" "get with the times, this is a new gneration, a new breed, new blood damnit! It ain't 1985!" "New Genawation? Weres a HBkah? You making fuun of da' amewican dweem, and I'll clubba ya, clubba ya!" add La Parka to the mix and its gold
Guest TheArchiteck Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I would say Mike Sanders/Shane Douglas (yeah right huh?)for smackdown GM, but I rather seeing them wrestle plus promos. Those two guys were pretty amusing to me. Seriously, I would have liked to see Shane McMahon the GM of Smackdown. I mean what was the purpose of Shane's appearance on RAW if your not going to play up on it.
Guest Marshall Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Ahem..... Jake Roberts on Raw and Brett/Stu Hart on SD. Dont ask me why, it just seems like a good idea
Guest jester Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Ahem..... Jake Roberts on Raw and Brett/Stu Hart on SD. Dont ask me why, it just seems like a good idea Heh, I like this idea. Especially if Jake isn't clean yet. "Welcome...to Ssshhmackdown... tonight in thish very ring... you come here to gamble...come here to gamble... it's shteel hic! cage match between John Sheena and Chrish Jeri-blow...whoops ha ha, shouldn't have shaid that..." (passes out in the middle of the ring and needs to be carried out) jester
