Guest Ironman Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I mean, after Vengeance is all said and done, why do you want to get the shot and win the strap? I'd say Booker over RVD, Brock and even the loveable Triple H. Why? Booker was a great champ in WCW. Good in the ring and on the mic. He carried WCW on his back for as long as anyone could've and I think he can give the WWE the same boost. I'm tired of title reigns that seem like someone's trapped the Fed in a fucking rest hold for 6 months. Booker can bring some excitement back to the Main Event and make people start watching the shows. Why not Brock? Booker knows what he's doing. He has been there before and knows the business. I can't think of anyone who has busted their ass in the wrestling business as long as he has and is still in peak form. The WWE ME can benefit from a veteran instead of chancing it with a hit or miss like Brock. RVD? Somehow when I picture it in my mind, I just can't see RVD with the main belt. Maybe he needs some time or it's just me. I'd prefer Beniot over him. Booker is a sure fire hit and I'm thinking they will finally get him the belt in a year or so. Then they won't take it off him because buy rates and ratings will be as good as ever. Can you think of all the Booker/Beniot matches over the title? It'll be like HBK/Bret before the Canadian gets screwed. Well that's my rant and I'm stickin to it.
Guest MrRant Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I would say Jericho if he could either go back to a heel like WCW where he was rippin on people or back to a face. Angle - Because he would be a good heel champ to gun for. HHH- IF AND ONLY IF, he can get his workrate up a bit and go back to being a heel. Those are my thoughts and it IS THE LAW!!!
Guest Ironman Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Get off my lawn. *no-sells you not picking Booker* Your ocmments are null. Yes, I can see what're going for with the champs but Booker is the total package. The WWE needs a sure hit and I don't know if the ratings can take another flop. We've all seen what he can do with the belt if given the slightest push. I could see Angle doing well too but he's on the back burner so to speak. Booker vs. Beniot vs. Angle would rock this PPV... I think I'm done for the night. You'll just have to do without my blind pushings of Bookah Tee.
Guest MrRant Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 *reverse his no sell and shoots on him* Anyways Booker would be a good champ but he needs a build as does RVD, Brock, and Benoit and we are talking about the NEXT champ and while that build is happening I say one of my 3 choices would be good because I believe a heel champ is almost more fun to watch then a face depending on the situation like when Triple H held the belt last year.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 well, jericho never impressed me before he was champion, at which point he became one of my favourite wrestlers. I'd love to see him with the strap again.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I'd like Taker to retain tonight. And then at Summerslam somehow.... ROB VAN DAM
Guest Brian Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Booker needs alot more work considering he's never won, but he could be probably the most over guy on either roster. As of the moment, Angle and RVD are the only two guys I can imagine carryin the belt successfully in the post-SummerSlam mess.
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 RVD - Most over man on the roster. By far the most over face. Has good matches with everyone, willing to work with everyone. Fans have accepted him in the ME before and they went fucking APE SHIT when he got the belt. Angle - 2nd more over man on the roster. Most over heel. Always give a good effort. Has had many good matches with better opponents. Him and RVD should feud with the belt! Benoit - If he can get over enough, he'd be an awesome champ. I dont see it, atleast not til 2003. HHH - his work is getting better. He needs to go heel, drop 20 lbs, and i think he'd be good enough.
Guest WWF4Life Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I'd go with a heel Triple H, and stick him on Raw, since there are more faces to work with.
Guest I Fear Hogans Air Guitair Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I would Like Taker to Retain tonight and then at Summerslam The Whole Fucking Show Rob Van Dam.
Guest cabbageboy Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I'd prefer Van Dam....I will likely get Lesnar. Booker has just been too buried to ever get a serious title push. He's never recovered from his initial first month in the WWF.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Eh, I'd rather see Booker get it than RVD. But, with Booker's burial since the Invasion angle, I just don't see how he's going to get there, so I'll say Angle.
Guest Baggy Sac Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I'd love to see Booker win the strap. I like The Book, his carrer almost mimmics Bret Heart's, at least while in WCW. Or Taker. Mabye WWE could keep it oldschool by letting a guy hold the title for more than a few months at the most.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Well..in my own little world..itd be Mike Sanders or La Parka Im gonna go with Booker T, who is more over than RVD...or maybe Sucka is just over
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Kurt Angle wins and pins Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam to retain. Anglesault thus evolves into a higher plane of existance and is never heard from again. =b
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 i'm not going to say anything about RVD... but I'll say Booker T and even Chris Jericho thats if he needs to change the persona. I wouldn't mind seeing HBK with the belt at all...but those odds are worse than Scott Hall staying sober
Guest Ironman Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Booker needs alot more work considering he's never won I know the WWE has pretty much screwed him by never giving him any real big wins but all he needs is to snatch the title even as an underdog. If you want to talk about who's the most OVER~! then it comes down to RVD and Booker, but RVD needs some polish. Yes he's over but all that can fizzle out quickly with a screw up. I've figured out why I'm not all that into RVD by the way. It's his opponents. He needs someone like Jerry Lynn to not as much carry him but keep him on track and make the spot machine run well.
Guest JMTapes Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Amen to Booker. I'd also like to see RVD win it. I'm SOOOO sick of Angle/Jericho/HHH/Taker/Rocky that it isn't even funny. -Jim www.jmtapes.com
Guest goodhelmet Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 only 2 people fit the bill in their current form- rvd and angle. booker is a distant third. i would love to include eddy and benoit in that list but that should go without saying!!!
Guest Ironman Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Booker/RVD/Angle/Beniot Main Events. Think about it people.. *dream*
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I'm with Nevermortal. If they don't pull the trigger on RVD, they will have another Jericho situation on their hands. I can see it now... The WWE was BSing all of us with that the Rock is going over at Vengeance crap. Undertaker retains. RVD d. Brock in a rematch tomorrow with the SummerSlam Title match in the balance. August 25, 2002: I'll be there when ROB VAN DAM wins the WWE Title!!!
