Guest The Son of Sting Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Am i the only person on this board that is a mark for Brock?
Guest The Son of Sting Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 It just seemed there was a lot of Brock hate going on.
Guest Invader3k Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I like Brock...but I wish they were still doing the ref stoppage thing with him. (stupid HHH). Also, some people are right...he is probably not quite over enough yet to be getting the push he has.
Guest Imarkout4chrisdaniels Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I mark out for Brock as well. I have since his debut. I have no problem marking out for someone even when I can point out their flaws, though. I think there a re a lot of things not going in Brock's favor at this point in his career. For one, he was pigeonholed into the power wrestler prototype, even though he is very capable of mat wrestling and such. We all know he was the National Champion in the heavyweight division of college wrestling. We all no that the man is also very agile, capable of a standing backflip and a shooting star press halfway across the ring. That is scary for a man of his size. I think the WWE is not wanting him to showcase any of that at this point for a couple of reasons. For one, it would make people cheer the hell out of the SSP when he hit it, and two they don't want him to show everything he's got right now. They want to save it for later so he has something different to do after this first leg of his push is over. Also, he has been pushed as this unstoppable monster, but they will never let him win clean over any of the faces, when he should be killing Buh-Buh and others. Heyman cheats like hell for him. it started as Heyman getting him into all this crap by being the braggart he was, and Brock would have to back up Heyman's lip. Now, Heyman has to save Brock. It makes him look very weak. Heyman is also part of the problem. I thought it was awesome that they gave a young guy an old school manager, and Heyman can do that role very well. However, it has been Heyman being the focal point a lot of the time, and he was getting all the heat, not Brock. I don't think Heyman should be taken away from him at this point, but the booking needs to be tweaked to give Brock more heat. People loathe Heyman, but have no reason to hate Brock. Brock should be bragging about himself and taking every opportunity to murder people. I think Brock will be fine in the future, but he has been handled the wrong way. I am waiting and waiting, and I really don't think he is getting the title at SummerSlam. I don't want him to showcase everything at once, so he can have something fresh to do later. With all of the stuff I have pointed out as flaws, I still really mark out for Brock.
Guest papacita Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I like Brock, but his push has been rushed.
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I think LesnarLunatic marks for hime as well. Just a guess. B)
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 While I don't mark for Brock, I don't flat out hate him either. I just wish he would be used better and allowed to do some amateur wrestling moves, and maybe evolve into a really, really big Kurt Angle.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Brock has too much too fast basically. I mean..this is faster than Goldberg's push and we know how he ended up
