Guest 4Life Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Bad: Jericho losing, Benoit losing, RVD-Brock DQ finish, too much HHH Good: Booker T wins, Canadian Mafia get a new member Funny and ubelievable: Rikishi's interview with Torrie "HHH is like a leader to these young guys"
Guest Zero_Cool Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 As Keith would say, I love shoot comments that aren't shoot comments.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Here's something I liked: A clean finish in the main event! Granted it was on Angle, but it was clean nonetheless which is refreshing when it seems like every other main event has a ref bump/interference/cheating/screwjob/whatever.
Guest Marshall Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Cena was elevated and the was a good thing

Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I'm probably the only one that's glad Jericho lost. He's doing nada right now, and Cena's being elevated. It works. *shrug* Jericho dosen't look like he'll ever be a Main Eventer, and it's not HHH's fault.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Bullshit. It is HHH's fault. Jericho was over like a main eventer until the DAY HHH confronted him in the ring. Rock made Jericho. Then shit happened. Period.

But it had no outcome on the finish, hence a clean FINISH.
Guest jester Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I'm really glad Booker T went over Show, and busted out a new move in the process (ok, not really new, but we haven't seen it for a long time). Now this is how you get a guy over--a clean win with an exciting and unexpected move. Lots hope they continue to build him to the main event. I just hope he goes to a good new program with someone. jester
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I'm glad that RVD retained the midcard title. IF he didn't have it I might forget that he's a midcarder and look forward to watching the WWE. Good for Booker though...A year's worth of jobbing on ppv (or not getting on at all) finally ends. Bubba needs to die. If Jericho re-signed....he...chose...poorly... Rock doesn't deserve it...why didn't Taker lay down? Angle is still useful...Taker is not. hmm...what else... HHH goes to Raw? Super. The good news is Benoit and Eddy can't physically be held down anymore than they are right now. RVD...the bell tolls for thee. sigh... Oh...and Brock Lesnar as champion next month makes me want to order TNA.
Guest Ironman Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Bps just summed up everything I was about to say..
Guest Incandenza Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 It was cool to see the return of Booker's Harlem--er, Houston--Hangover.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Since Taker wasn't pinned in the title match, that gives them an excuse to make it another 3 way next month with Rock vs. Brock vs. Taker, or some crap like that to make the match worse
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 RVD should be added in for a four way... then get a miracle pin to win the title so everyone in the crowd will mark out. Then he'd lose it the next night to Brock...but at least people would get ONE NIGHT of happiness. meh.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 In fact...If they were smart (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA) they would do this: RVD and Taker get added to the match (cause...maybe with 4 people in the match people will be too confused to see all the suck) and RVD wins by pinning Taker. THUS FINISHING THAT GREAT UNWRITTEN FEUD....with RVD finally beating Taker. Then Rock can come in and put RVD over by raising his hand...and BAM!!!! RVD has the rub and is the top guy (since they are trying to give Brock Rocks rub...I think it would stick better to RVD...) Then Brock can try to dethrone the champ later...who should be more over than he has ever been...and I am of the opinion that when crowds and ratings are down...the second biggest ppv of the year shouldn't end with an unover heel winning... ...but that may just be me.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 It's not just you BPS. It's everyone except WWE. *sigh* And could someone explain why Benoit and Guerrerro jobbed!?!?!?!?
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Oh did anyone notice Benoit getting pops when he came out? The fans were cheering for him....maybe he should turn on Guerrero. Since Guerrero is really over as a heel. Plus it would be some great matches.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 BPS- dont you get tired of watching something you seem to hate with a passion?? Have you ever thought RVD has elevated the title so its not a midcard title anymore BTW- I enjoyed Vengeance. IT was a fun show with a great main event
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I think he could have elavated it...but they took it off of him the first time after a month. Then he got it back and has only defended it against Brock...who he can't beat for push reasons... To be fair to Brock...they should have taken the belt off of RVD before the feud so that Brock could have gone over him again. 2 DQs are lame. Since the belt is treated secondary to this feud...that's the only way I can view the belt.
Guest ManKinnd Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Decent PPV overall I think. Though Benoit and Guerro jobbed, I really liked the table match. The cruiser match was good, and the psychology was there. After working the arm, Knoble changed his big move from a normal powerbomb to a tiger bomb, which wrenches the arm in the progress, so SK can shut his goddamned mouth about whining because it didn't lead to a submission. The middle pretty much sucked and then the main event was pretty good actually, even with Taker dragging it down. The whole climax of finisher stealing was really cool. Quick ratings: Table Match - ***1/2 Cruiser Match - ***1/4 Hardy/Regal - *1/4 Cena/Jericho - *3/4 Booker/Show - 3/4* RVD/Brock - **3/4 Tag Titles - **1/4 Main - ***1/2
Guest Renegade Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Spike and Bubba beat Benoit and Eddie? That pissed me off to no end. Hardy wins Euro, lets hope that means he gets more promo time But Book finally won a damn match so i mark for that. Cena goes over, this time next year Y2J is our new European champ! DQ ending for IC title was lame, the match shouldnt have been booked in the first place.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Why do I see HHH squashing RVD for the IC Title like when he did with Jeff Hardy after he won it?
