The Smark Internet/Radio Show

The Idea i have is now becoming a plan. A Internet/Radio Wrestling show is now on the blueprints. Me and Downhome are the ones so far on board, I know there were a few of you interested in doing something for the show. From what Downhome tells me one of the places we can start out, we could get a 4 hour spot to do the show.

Just want to spiff ball, the various ideas we can do to bring this show off the ground. We would need Recap guys for WWE, NWA TNA other Independant and Puro wrestling. We will need Biographer to showcase various wrestlers from time to time, Do Interviews with Wrestling fans and Wrestlers themselves depending on where their from and so forth. Promote Upcoming Wrestling events so we can visably be benifiting the Promotons. have online debates and discussions upon Wrestling events Past and present.

Us Internet wrestling fan community has taken a few shots from Wrestling Promotions and wrestlers as of late because of the Louder ignorant sounding Wrestling Journalists. We got too many people out there Claiming because they are Wrestling fans and Think they know the backstage dirt, that they should have some say in the business of the Wrestlers and Promoters. Its my Hope that even in what we do on this purposed show that we show the respectful Side of being Internet Smart Marks, we who understand its Entertainment, and these are the people we look to for entertainment. Because despite how good or Bad a match is, what spots came off Good or was Bad, Who is over and who isn't. The Wrestlers are busting their asses Just to entertainn us, and the Promoters and Writers are thinking up ways Too entertain us. We can't piss on those who are doing so much just for us.

Now that aside.

If any of you have any Ideas forthe Show or would like to Contribute in anyway.. Let me or Downhome know.

Its about time the Moderate Smarks Voices be heard!

I used to do one of these. A few suggestions:

1. Always have a plan for what you're going to talk about. Don't just ramble. Have an itinerary set out: 5 minutes on this subject, 5 minutes on that one, etc.

2. Don't let it run too long. Try an hour to start with, then up it little by little from there if it works.

3. Make sure that the people doing the show don't all sound alike. That's both in voice (you have to be able to easily tell the people apart) and opinion (a group of guys all agreeing on something is boring).

4. Guest stars are essential in the long run. Even if it's just an indy wrestler that nobody has heard of, they've all got stories to tell about someone you HAVE heard of.

5. And finally, don't expect anything out of it. Your numbers of listeners will probably be pretty low, and there will be complainers bitching about the show no matter what. Take it in stride.

I wouldn't mind helping out if you do it like on a Wednesday or Thursday.

I agree with everything you have said. Basicly, everything you have posted, I have mapped out. I am thinking that one hour is perfect to start with, as it will help determine where to go from there. I am willing to be one of the hosts, as I've done that type of work before in the past.

I know for a fact that Ole Anderson is a possibility, AJ Styles is "possible", I'd just have to work on it. Had this been just over a year ago, AJ would be a lock, but now, welll, it's obviously different. Other various NWA Wildside talent are a possibility to start with. Guests would not be an instant thing, we'd first build up the show with just us and whatnot, then when it gets bigger, do the guests.

I think throughout the show, taking calls is a must. Perhaps a trivia contest, which after so many shows the caller with the most right answers wins some sort of prize. An E-Fed section could be HIGHLY interesting, in terms of letting them actually promo, lol.

All in all, there is a lot we can do with this. I have Cool Edit therefore I can produce professional intros, outros, commercials, and other such segments and sound effects. I can't wait to get it done, as I'm more than ready to do so!

For that, you should get one guy who is pretty dogmatic with his ideas. Maybe a couple of guys who have opinions but openly discuss them and are open to other opinions...and maybe some wise guy who just cracks jokes about every subject. You could maybe get some good arguements going with the dogmatic dude and the joke cracking guy.

This is getting better every time it is brought up....

I'd offer to be a cohost, if you didn't kinda have to get all the hosts in the same room to be able to do one of these effectively.

And Downhome, how are you hooked up with the Wildside crew?

I'm a webdesigner and a computer geek. If you need a website for it and hosting, I'll provide it for free. PM me about the details so I can start working on it.

I'd be willing to do a RAW recap if you're interested... I could also do some sort of specialty column if you want. I'm flexible, so if you have anything you need done, just let me know.

- Mike Van Siclen.

Offering his services to make hisself famous. Sort of.

I'm a writer for SmarkTown, and if you guys get the show up and running, we'd advertise. Hell, I think Angry Johnny and MAYBE Moki, possibly even Zak Blak, could maybe do some talking...if only I had a mic...

Thats all great so Far :)

we should get some people who want to do wrestling debates, a Pros and cons segment, if we could find a way we should get people who will argue every match and segment for Raw Smackdown, Heat Velocity, and NWA TNA that are the only ones obviously which is nationally telecast.

we will be needing people who can research Upcoming events from their Local Independant wrestling, and or Puro events..

Like Downhome I have contacts with Independant wrestlers.

Johnny Law from the NWA Circuit in Indiana

and White Tiger from NWA/ECCW in the North West. like the old saying goes everyone is separated only by 6 degrees, meaning somebody knows somebody who knows somebody.

Thank you for your support :) lets kick some ass lol

Jingus is right.

I used to run a show on fancast.com called "WrestleSmarks" and I always tried to be prepared and it was really hard running a show from stratch.

Jingus would be good to cover the NWA TNA...since he knows far more about the guys in it than anyone else I have talked too.

I could do the North Carolina indys, and plus, i talk to the Hardys and Shannon Moore all the time, so we could possibly maybe do something with them. I'll see. But I'd really like to be in this.

Then the question is for all of you, is we will be needing those people interested who Have Speakers and Microphone to do the segments. Those who don't have Microphones we would appreciate you doing Research on Wrestlers, Upcoming wrestling events for WWE Local indi's NWA Puro etc etc etc

and sending out feelers for Interviews of Wrestling fans or Indi wrestlers. If you don't have a mic it doesn't mean you can't help us if you want to.
