Guest NoCalMike Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Well with the DQ loss last night which everyone comes away thinking RVD was the clear winner overall, what the hell is WWE gonna do to get Brock over as a monster heel w/heat. If he doesn't get a clean win over RVD before Summerslam(please god NOOOOO) then the only other thing I can think of, is to have him beat up Rock and destroy/get the best of him on a few Smackdowns. Right now it is clear he isn't seen as a legit contendor by the Smarks, or the marks(lack of heat). So what are your suggestions....and yes, like many of you I don't want him to go to Summerslam wrestling for the title, but it is almost certain that is what is gonna happen, so how in fact would you handle the mighty task of getting Brock over!?!
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Have him stiff the hell out of someone.(someone who'd be willing to take a real beating) and then have the lockerroom pour out all angry at Brock. Sort of a quasi shoot. Have the so called lockerroom leaders like Taker and HHH come out wanting a piece of him and saying things like "what the hell is your problem" and shit like that. Then have Brock mock the victim as he's heading up the ramp and not really give a shit about what he's done. Get him over like a monster, but one of a different sort. If you've seen the Ogawa vs Hashimoto feud, you would know what I am talking about. Basically duplicate the infamous shoot incident at the 99 Dome show.

Booking Brock as a monster is such a no-brainer a ten-year old could do it. How is it that WWE is messing it up this badly?

You'll find your answer by reviewing the past year or so of WWF/WWE booking. I already feel like they've ruined Brock as a legitimate contender. The program with RVD killed all of his mystique. The WWE has to work overtime to salvage any chance of a Brock vs Undisputed Champ drawing anything decent for SummerSlam. Bring back the ref stops but have him completely decimate opponents. Referee stops didn't work before because Brock did nothing out of the ordinary to garner a referee stoppage of the match. It'd be nice to do as DangerousA has suggested and have Brock completely maul some fodder until the referee fears for the poor guy's life and stops the bout, literally jumping on top of the guy to protect him from further damage. Out come the paramedics and a few pissed off wrestlers and personnel and there you go. Of course, WWE is just gonna throw Brock out there at SummerSlam and have him win the title to zero heat , so what do I care...

He needs to go out there and show Rocky he means business...and if he screws up...at No Mercy...RVD will be your new champ.

Heyman gabs about Rock vs. Brock while Brock just stands there...Rock comes out and those two have a verbal duel...by the end of it Brock is slowly inching up the ramp, with Heyman egging him on....just at the point you think Brock is just gonna maul him...he stops and smiles...Rock is puzzled (as is everyone else) Next RAW......Brock vs. Booker T is booked....Brock DESTROYS Book and Goldust comes out to save him...and Goldy gets his ass kicked...prompting the Rock to come out with a chair....he gets in the ring ready to swing...but stops...Rock just smiles and Brock returns it...and Brock leaves Next RAW..... Bischoff has Brock and Rock team to face Booker T and Goldust.... Rock wins the match after a Rock Bottom on Goldust and Brock just shakes his hand... it's all respect...(kinda like Hogan/Rock) Week Before Summerslam..... Rock comes out for Pay Per View hype and then is attacked from behind by Brock who came through the crowd....Brock just KILLS Rock while Heyman laughs at him and mocks him....Brock F5s him numerous times and leaves him for dead...medics and such come out to check on him and Rock somehow stands up and grabs a mic....Brock/Heyman are by the Tron and Rock just says "good job......" before falling down again.... Brock smiles and walks away...... later that night Heyman is talking about how they beat the Rock down and then Rock comes from behind with a chair and just lays them both out....but Brock stands up and laughs at him...doing his happy dance....Rock hits him in the face again...Brock no-sells....two more times it happens before Rock puts his hand out....Brock shakes it and pulls him close...mouthing "you're done" before pushing away from him and picking up Paul and carrying him away... if they can put Brock and Rock at a similiar level then it may get Brock over.... or maybe I'm a dumbass
