Guest Downhome Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 The following is from a 1wrestling report of an interview with Goldberg that took place tonight... " Q 27: Thoughts on Russo going to WWE, then NWA? Bill: If the WWE wanted to eliminate themselves in the running for Goldberg, they almost did by hiring Vince Russo." ...I find that to be very interesting, as it tells us two "possible" things. One, it tells us once again that he is planning to return to the ring this year, and two, it tells us that he does NOT wish to work for/with Vince Russo. Now we all know where Vinney boy is at now, so would it be safe to conclude that Goldberg will not think of going the route of NWA-TNA now? I know anything can happen, but this is just another one of "those things", which in my mind, leads to him eventually signing with WWE later this year. It's going to happen, and there isn't anyway around it if you ask me. We also have a HEEL HHH now, so Goldberg will have the heel he needs to feud with once he returns, and I'm sure at least some of you guys, like myself, would like to see that one. Anyhow, I just thought you would like to hear about this. For the complete interview, check it out over at 1wrestling. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 I'd actually like to see Goldberg in CZW or XPW myself, just to see the reaction of the fans that would say "Goldberg sucks, fuck him" at the drop of a hat. I'd love to see Goldberg in a deathmatch as well...Goldberg vs. NecroButcher in a no-ropes barbed wire deathmatch...guaranteed Goldberg would end his own career, AND NecroButcher's... If that's the case, get rid of NecroButcher and put in Vic Grimes instead. MWAHAHAHAHAHA....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL...
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Goldberg's going to Toryumon in September, don't you know that?
Guest TheBlurricane Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Goldberg vs. HHH??? A lame ass vs. A lame leg
Guest bob_barron Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Goldberg v. New Jack Maybe Mass Transit Incident: The Sequel will occur.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Can you imagine when WWE signs Goldberg, how brilliant the series of matches Goldberg/Big Show would be? Seriously though, Goldberg would never work with XPW because he's not that desperate for money. Which unfortunately means I'll never see my "dream match" of Goldberg vs. Angel (Jingus'll get it ). How much money do you think Goldberg could get from the WWE to sign though?
Guest Downhome Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 How much money do you think Goldberg could get from the WWE to sign though? How much did Hogan, Nash, Hall get and how much does WWE's big guys guy like Rocky, HHH, and Austin?
Guest Kid Kablam Posted July 23, 2002 Report Posted July 23, 2002 Well laddie frickin dah for Goldberg. Isn't he a special camper.

I don't know, I don't think Goldberg would get that much right away because of the WWE's bias against superstars that aren't "homegrown".
