Guest ShooterJay Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Everytime I watch a WWE show, I hear the words "ruthless agression." I was wondering if these words will last longer than AUstin's saying of "what?"
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 well at least it still sorta makes sense
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Seeing as how "What?" is still around... I'd say no. The reason "What?" lasted as long as it did (and is still around, although in a much lesser extent) is because it promoted crowd interaction. When the crowd is encouraged to get into something, it's pretty much guaranteed that it will stay around longer. Plus, "What?" was a catchphrase. "Ruthless aggression" is like one of those terms that marketing thinks is hip but that nobody's really into.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 'Suck it!' never caught on outside of DX's encouragment in promos like 'What?' did.
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Fortunately "suck it" never ruined promos for main eventers like "what" did.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 I think the reason "What?" was more popular than "Suck it!" is because it was one syllable and the way Austin used it was in a way that showed it could and should be used to interrupt other people's promos.
