Guest Downhome Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 In short, and in all seriousness, I feel that the 500th episode of RAW, which is the night after Summerslam which will more than likely have Brock Lesnar win the World Title, will be the FIRST evening for WWE/WCW Nitro. Look at the new set up, Bishoff, the "Fall of WCW" story on Confidential tonight, it's obviously building towards that, and look at it like this also... ...MOST of RAW's top talent are more known for being in WCW or ECW than WWE. Eddie, Benoit, Flair, Booker T, RVD, Spike, Bubba Ray, Regal, Nash, Dreamer, and if my prediction comes true about who was in the Limo with Bishoff to come to RAW from Smackdown, either Hulk Hogan or Chris Jericho. This doesn't seem to be just a coincidence if you ask me, something fishy is up... ...something fishy indeed. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 it's something I'm waiting for......it will be the 2nd true WWE is WCW show.....the other being RAW is BUFF
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 im gonna miss it too, i see the previous 499 episodes, but i have to miss the 500th (my college doesnt get TNN!)
Guest hockeytown9321 Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 The 500th Raw is not the night after SummerSlam. Raw debuted in Feb. of 1993. When you count preemptions for tennis and dog shows, there has probably been an average of 50 Raws a year. That puts the 500th show in Feb.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Ask a mark, I don't think they'll better know Hogan, Regal, Jericho, Eddie or Benoit for their WCW work, if that's what you meant.

Guest PlatypusFool Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Surely it's only a matter of time before someone manages to find out exactly what episode we are up to...
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 www.steveswrestling.com has every Raw result ever. If you want to go take the time, go count em up.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 I'm leaving for college the day before SummSlam so I cant go to RAw. Damnit!
Guest gangsteruwa Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Look where the announcers' table is. That screams Nitro. Now all they have to do is construct the weird platform for it, and find Steve McMichaels. You can't forget Mongo. You neeeeeeeeeeeed Mongo. And his midget dog. (If you didn't catch my sarcasm, look again)
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 I'm leaving for college the day before SummSlam so I cant go to RAw. Damnit! dont worry barron, youll be alright (I'm doing the same thing) you can endure anything, because you have the funniest line ever "there better not be any spinning in this thread"
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Wow, the 500th episode will be the most looked forward RAW ever. No doubt that RAW will be Nitro after SS, guaranteed!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 All I know is that the last Smackdown was #153..
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 19 weeks...4 months...The Night after Survivor Series~! Uh..no...that would make the 500th show 12/9/02. So whoever goes to that raw needs a sign that says "The Real 500th Episode!-- I Can Count!"
Guest Cubbie78 Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 seee, thats about the count, I got...well I had 484 as this past weeks raw, which would make the one after summerslam...uhh, like 488?...something, I dont know the date of summerslam...hehe...but clearly they are hedging on the count, which may mean expect something BIG for that raw...dunno...
Guest hockeytown9321 Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 I actually hadn't noticed The WWE shilling it as #500. All I heard about it was the night Bischoff was introduced, Vince said it was coming up. Wolverine, you're right about Raw debuting in Jan., not Feb. My bad.
Guest Angle-plex Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 I'm guessing Triple H wins the Undisputed Title on the 500th Raw.
Guest B-X Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Consider this. The RAW after Summerslam will take place at Madison Square Garden. Them's some beans fer thinking...
Guest DJ Jeff Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 If that's not really the 500th episode of RAW, then why the hell is Vince McMahon billing it as the 500th episode of RAW? Something is fishy, really fishy. It's the night after SummerSlam, and it's the 500th episode of RAW. I can almost guarantee that WWE RAW, will become WCW Nitro that night.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 If that's not really the 500th episode of RAW, then why the hell is Vince McMahon billing it as the 500th episode of RAW? Something is fishy, really fishy. It's the night after SummerSlam, and it's the 500th episode of RAW. I can almost guarantee that WWE RAW, will become WCW Nitro that night. The return of Nitro in the f'n MADISON SQUARE GARDEN of all places! I'd mark out like crazy for that!
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I don't see it happening. Seeing where Booker T, DDP, RVD, etc's careers SHOULD be right now, I hardly see the flagship of WWE programming becoming a WCW (deceased) show. Dream all you want.
Guest mach7 Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 If that's not really the 500th episode of RAW, then why the hell is Vince McMahon billing it as the 500th episode of RAW? Changing the name of RAW would be stupid on so many levels. SO MANY LEVELS. Especially on the business side of things. You can "guarantee" all you want. All that you really know is pure speculation.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I could see Goldberg appearing on that particular show as a ratings spike and to try and make it a memorable show, but Nitro is DEAD.
Guest Bricks Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Did they count the special Thursday Raws that they'd show in the past in the Raw count?
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 The WWE would be stupid to debut WWE Nitro in Madison Square Garden because the MSG crowd HATES anything WCW related.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Nah not really, it would be another nostalgia trip to me. (See Hogan, Hulk) I think they'd go apeshit, but then again I could be wrong because a new name, set, etc wouldn't come out of nowhere to them on camera, it would just be "there" and the crowd would watch wrestling matches. Unnecessary. I hope they don't stoop this low. If the little DX angle is any inication, the WWE has learned.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Don't count out Nitro returning just yet. Even if it's WWE Nitro, I still think that the 500th episode of RAW, will also be the last episode of RAW, and the debut of WWE Nitro, or the return of Nitro. Ever since I've heard these rumors so to speak, I really believe that this will happen.
