Guest Downhome Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 The following is from the Torch Newsletter... "Eric Bischoff's contract with WWE is unique in comparison to virtually every recognized talent on the roster. While nearly all talent has multi-year guaranteed deals, Bischoff's contract is based on how well his angle on television goes. His contract is very short-term and his future all depends, like I said, on how well his angle gets over which gives him the incenative to work to the best of his ability." ...I've never heard of anything like that, but I guess it's an easy way out if they feel the need to bail on this idea. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Downhome Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 So far, so good. Agreed, I hope they give it time to REALLY play out, to the extent of FINALLY having both shows totally truly split. I'm loving my WWE TV for now, so I have nothing to complain about!
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Too bad Steph and Triple H don't have this in their contracts Sorry, I don't mean to turn this into an other "I Hate Steph & Hunter" Tread. FeArHaVoC is NOT a Troll.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 So, I guess this means Bischoff will be out of a job in 2 months?
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I wouldn't trust anything from the Torch
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 bischoff wont be around that long, hes gonna piss off the wrong person, and JR is gonna publicaly fire him in a sick shoot
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I trust the Torch Man...Bisch must have REALLY wanted to get his hand back into things...taking a contract like that after running another promotion.
Guest Dark Fusion Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 bischoff wont be around that long, hes gonna piss off the wrong person, and JR is gonna publicaly fire him in a sick shoot most likely that is going to happen. because as shane mcmahon said....if EB gets the chance, he's gonna screw mcmahon over.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Well that kinda shuts the door for Bischoff to get any power, its Do good or DIE basically.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Well, I think it's going pretty well so far. I like Bischoff's current on-air role, and I think the fans are as well, because he's a fresh face in WWE storylines. I hope he stays around for a while.
Guest Brian Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 The tried to go the same route with the NWO but couldn't sign them like that. I wonder why?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Well, looks like Hogan shapened up and learned he's not King Shit anymore, as he's been putting over talent more in the past 4-5 months than he has in the past 10-15 years. Anyways, I will say this: I mark for Eric Bischoff the character, and even Eric Bischoff the promoter at times. But the moment he tries to destroy ANY aspect of wrestling or push friends, fuck him. That was off-topic, but I do mark-out for Uncle Eric's character. His faces are just great, man.
Guest deadbeater Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Thart is one of the better contracts I heard, strictly performance-related. Do it on guys like Test and Big Show!!
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 it's not bischoff's fault if feuding shows angle no.23541893 doesn't work. I think he's doing pretty good. stephanie's the one who's gonna fuck it over and he's gonna get punished. FUCK.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 most likely that is going to happen. because as shane mcmahon said....if EB gets the chance, he's gonna screw mcmahon over. Well, I think he's pretty much fully a performer now. He's performing a caricature of his promoter/owner role from WCW, but he's sharing dressing rooms and other things with the rest of the wrestlers, at least so say the dirt sheet. So he appearantly knows his role, catchphrase not intended. I think it's like what he said in the Confidential interview. "I'm here because I think I have something to contribute. I think I can help. If I can't, I'm gone."
