Confirmed Spoiler: Identity Of SmackDown! Defector

 

The following news is derived from Buck Woodward and 1wrestling.com:

 

As it stands right now, Chris Jericho is the person who was "in the limo" with Eric Bischoff on last Thursday's SmackDown! At this point, he will be the person revealed on tonight's RAW that defected from SmackDown! to RAW.

 

Chris Jericho is not booked for tonight's SmackDown! house show that takes place right around the same time RAW is being aired live. This lead many to believe at the beginning that he was in fact the defector, and at this point that is the case.

 

I say at this point as WWE is infamous for changing their ideas at the last second, and have been going for the "shock value" lately. The person could change 100 times prior to RAW going live tonight, but at this point it is Chris Jericho.

Wasn't Jericho in the ring when Bischoff said someone was in the limo? Did I miss something or was he still there?

They never actually showed that someone was in the limo so he could have just gone later or the WWF has no real logic so the two places at once theory might have just been ignored.

For all we know. They may play it off and actually have someone else in the limo. Jericho could just be an extra surprise jump.

Well one positive is that Jericho won't have an extended Edge feud. If it is never brought up again his loss to Edge in the cage won't mean much so he could be saved from that.

If they make a big deal about him jumping they should at least let him cut a "Raw is Jericho" promo.

 

This should (should being the operative word) lead to some kind of push. At least they are doing something with him, and not jobbing him out (hopefully).

If it is Jericho, then I'll know for sure that HHH had something to do with it. HHH wanted his own personal bitch to follow him to RAW, so he could keep holding him down some more. This is the reason I'm really hoping the WWE changes it's mind and picks Hogan or someone else.

That would be a good first program for Jericho on RAW. He could feud with a high profile name and get a big win for a change. In fact, if the WWE is serious about making Jericho's jump a big deal, he should lay out both Flair and Rock at the end of RAW.

 

I know this is probably out there, but anyone else think there's a chance they may just align Jericho with Triple H. There's really no room on RAW right now for another upper card face. Triple H seems to be a more interesting character when he has someone to play off (Chyna, D-X, Stephanie, etc.) Logic has never stopped the WWE from creating new alliances before. And besides, Triple H then has someone to do jobs for him again.

 

Okay, maybe not. But the likely scenario is too depressing to think about.

 

Just keep him away from the RVD/Benoit match. Jericho should be above the IC title by now.

In fact, if the WWE is serious about making Jericho's jump a big deal, he should lay out both Flair and Rock at the end of RAW.

Though as long as HHH has backstage stroke, I can't see Jericho being made to look like a threat by laying out Rock and Flair at the end of Raw anytime soon. I'm not sure who Jericho's going to feud with yet since he could have been just traded to Raw. I'm hoping it isn't being made to look like HHH's bitch again or jobbing to Bubba Ray Dudley like Benoit had to on PPV, ugh.
