Guest Trivia247 Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Shawn Michaels doesn't feel an urgency to get back into the ring in WWE as he feels he can still reaggrivate his old back injury, or create a whole new world of pain with a new injury, that would bring back major pains that he went through when he first hung his boots up old ago, that has since gone away pretty much allowing him to live as comfortable a life as a wrestler can live once he is done in the ring. However, it is considered almost an inevitability that HBK will return to the ring at some point, possibly as soon as SummerSlam, against someone he trusts with his body in a match such as Triple H - which is seemingly what WWE was building up until RAW when HBK was victim of a "parking lot attack" that could change original plans for HHH/HBK to work a program, but doesn't necessarily mean that is the case as it has not been revealed who attacked HBK, and if HHH has any connection with whomever the culprit is. Courtesy of Matthew Boone ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well.... Damn Taking a Super Safe Pedigree and he suddenly can't go on. looks like booking of the HHH HBK match will get changed. Oye what a waste. What do you think?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 who w9ould've thought that an HBK comeback would be worthless
Guest swan Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 CAn't say I blame him. I suffered a serious back injury as a result of a car accident and avoid anything that will make it worse or cause it to flare up. I don't care what it is, just not worth the pain.
Guest jester Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Moolah and Mae Young can take more bumps than Micheals. Wow. Maybe they should wrestle HHH at Summerslam.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 I still think that the parking lot angle is just a way to not rush him back into the ring, and allow him to work out and see how it goes. That's why we'll probably get a Triple H/Big Show classic at Summerslam.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Good i hope he never wrestles again for his own sake and the sake of his "legacy".
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Good i hope he never wrestles again for his own sake and the sake of his "legacy". I don't think wrestling again will affect his legacy much... Oh, you meant the NON-political agenda one
Guest El Satanico Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Well yeah he'll never kill that legacy...that prick.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 So, Triple H will remain getting pushed as a "Babyface?" Well, that's just great.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 You know, Shawn has changed his mind before.
Guest Choken One Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 I'd certaintly symphatized with Shawn. Most of you guys never had any spinal damage like Shawn has and The fear is certaintly very scary.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 We need to find out what God wants him to do. It was God, afterall, who approved him to step out of church to take the call from Vince and join the NWO.
Guest Quik Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 I'd pity Shawn... if he deserved it. I'm pushing for a casket match at SummerSlam between Hunter and Taker. Hopefully Vince will convince Hunter to take some bumps onto the casket. Please... please?
Guest Choken One Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 Shit...If we could contact God, Shawn Michaels would be the least of my concerns. I'd ask him "Would you kill the Christians for me?" and he'll nod his head and we can single handly eliminate Shawn AND Pat Robertson.
Guest prez Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 You know, some people might find that comment a little offensive.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 You know, some people might find that comment a little offensive. I agree with you. Anyways, back to the topic. I understand what HBK is talking about with him not rushing to return to the ring. Now, I've never had a back injury myself, but still. If he were to step in the ring for a match at SummerSlam, he could risk serious injury, which isn't what he wants. So, let me be the first to say that the parking lot incident on RAW was just a way to write HBK out of storylines until he's confident that he can wrestle one last match. I'm thinking that at SummerSlam, we'll get HHH vs. the Big Show, and then when HBK returns, hopefully before Survivor Series, we'll get HHH vs. HBK at Survivor Series.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 Well, I'm glad he came to his senses. Anyone think because of Monday's storyline attack that if HBK changes his mind again we could see him and HHH as tag team partners against Big Show and a jobber (for old time's and joke's sake, let's just say Chris Jericho)?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 I agree with Shawn here. Personally, I think it would be stupid for him to step in the ring again.

Nah, if HBK does return to the ring, I see him starting a fued with HHH. That way, we all get to see HHH vs. HBK.
Guest dilk bathoon Posted August 1, 2002 Report Posted August 1, 2002 i actually remember a match that hunter and shawn had shortly before the "monteal screw job", where one week brett beat hunter while shawn watched from the outside, and the next week shawn beat hunter, with brett watching.

But the real question is... could either Bret or Shawn beat THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR?! Actually, the real question is, was the Shawn/Hunter match from back then any good, and given both men's injured/limited state, would it be better or worse than a possible match now?
