And Angle is STILL without a summerslam program, because they had to do THIS tonight for lord knows what reason. DAMN.

Now two guys are fighting one another to fight ANOTHER guy next week, for really no reason.....So, naturally, Hogan won. So next week, when Brock beats Hogan, you're gonna hear the crowd yell and scream and boo at Brock as he beat the immortal Hulk Hogan......well, the crowd might not actually do it - it will be the piped sounds, but you get the point. And, as Cole says, Angle is the future of Smackdown. So he needs to put over all the up-and-comers like Hulk Hogan. I think it might be Angle/Guerrero at SummerSlam myself, but there's a little thing called planning for it but the writers are just having too much fun with this shifting the rosters.

I never said it was a great idea, either. I'd rather see Angle/Lesnar in terms of actual match, but it looks like they're saving that.

Couldn't even CHEAT correctly, got his ass kicked after the match. That's what it looked like to me. That WILL hurt him, especially when they would have been better served finding someone for Angle to fight at Summerslam.

Oh, and I'm thinking that we're going to see another Angle vs. Hogan fued, which will lead into a match between the two at SummerSlam, with some kind of stipulation.

Guest OlympicHeroY2J Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 Angle/Hogan at SummerSlam could be good since it puts both guys in a high-profile match and all, but you gotta consider: They had Hulk Hogan tap out clean at King of the Ring. What can you do after a clean win like that by the heel to continue the feud ? Tonight, they just had a Hogan/Angle match. You would think if they were having another PPV Match so soon from King of the Ring, they wouldn't put the match on Smackdown. As for stipulations, what stips could Hogan do ? I don't know if a steel cage match would work between the two guys. Maybe a No-DQ match or something. Possibly even a Submission match, as it would be fun to watch Hogan try a figure-four or a sharpshooter, since he never really did one before. But the stips the two guys could do run a little bit low. I wouldn't mind seeing Angle/Hogan at SummerSlam, but the WWE kind of overexposed the match already....

If both men don't have a match or a fued for SummerSlam, then maybe the WWE will find a way to put these guys into another fued against each other. Unless, Angle fueds with Guerrero and Hogan fueds with someone. I really don't know who Hogan would fued with, except Angle.

Adding a few of the Godfather's Ho's to his entourage might help draw some heat. It worked for Big Poppa Pump. Pamela Paulshock in his entourage couldn't hurt.

SWANK action shot there. anyways, angle has proved that he can bounce back from pretty much anything, he's such a great performer that every time they need him to look like a threat they can do. There's NO reason for hogan to go over him at summerslam. NO way.

So what? Don't try and tell me that somehow losing by DQ does some sort of horrible damage to Angle's career. That's just silly. Anyway, according to Anglesault, Angle's career has been ended, at least, six times, since he won the U.S. title.

I think Angle's going to be the one to eventually dethrone Lesnar to put over his babyface run. (You know its coming) I don't like the match booking either, but its not career ending. Niko

He's been made out to be a buffoon who can't beat Mark henry or a man 20 years his senior since the PPV. The match went on a long time for a Hogan match. a REALLY long time for a free TV Hogan match. Kurt had nothing to do that night (which is more and more becoming his real enemy) and they wanted to build some reason to watch next week by advertising Hogan/Brock now. Speaking of that show, I will assume Lesnar will be the first man to ever get Hogan to sell during the traditional no-sell period of Hulking Up. Well, it better happen if they want this guy to draw a reaction.
