Guest mach7 Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 Now, normally I never have anything good to say about Smackdown. I rarely make an effort to catch it. I know there are others out there who feel the same way.. but when Guerrero & Benoit were moved over.. OBVIOUSLY I'm gonna watch. Do you think that WWE knew that fans would follow these two to Thursday nights? Kinda odd isn't it? Anyways, I also wanted to point out that when Austin walked out - WWE said that they had nothing left really for Benoit & Guerrero and they were dropped into a mid-card fiasco with the New Dudleyz. I'm glad to see that that error has been corrected and they are now up quite a few notches. Eddy had a great showing against the Rock on Monday. Benoit is the IC Champ, and made the Rock tap in that KILLER tag team match last night. Great stuff! Bill
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I watch SD! every week, so with the removal of Jericho & The Canadian Mafia, I think it is a good move.
Guest Downhome Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 I halfway expect the angle to be worked out that Benoit & Eddie are plants by Bishoff. It would make sense, as what other reason did Bishoff have to be on Smackdown in the first place?
Guest razazteca Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 From Raw is Jericho on Monday night I thought that Beniot was going to be a friend or foe of the Canadians, but now with Beniot on Smackdown, I don't know what to think. So far the big angle in WWE is the "poison" part 2 with what seems to be roster switches, but I might be thinking to hard letting my mark tendacys take over. I still think that permanent roster changes is a bad thing. In my opinion having the "stars" i.e. Canadians & Beniot & Rock being on both shows is a good thing. This lets some angles carry over building up hype for the monthly PPV.
Guest TheHulkster Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 Will it work? Time will tell. Do I like it? Not really Who is Benoit going to defend his belt against on SD? Albert? Mark Henry? D-Von? One of the rookies? Maybe i'm being selfish, but I could see a lot of potentially great matches that still could happen if Benoit and Eddie were still on Raw. I don't really see that so much on Smackdown. On the plus side, they can use them to help the show by helping break out good matches against somewhat untested/unheralded/underutilized talent.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 the biggest plus of the roster split...HHH is only on tv one day a week
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 Next couple weeks the dust isn't gonna settle because people are gonna continue be traded back and forth, no real concrete angles are gonna made because people are too busy getting moved around. Unless they make all the belts transferable. Meaning the champions work on each show there won't be to many Feuds angles or title contention worth a Damn other than World title. I mean even on Raw Who are gonna be the tag team contenders against Storm and Christian or what I like to call, the Sucidal Thrill Seeking Blondes.
Guest razazteca Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 BookDust is the only tag team contender that I really care about other than the Dudley Boys.
