Guest bob_barron Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 This is from Ryan Dibase at [email protected] 9:00-- We open the show with a shot of Eric Bischoff at his desk. He cuts a very negative....yet short...promo on Stephanie McMahon and her "talent raiding tactics." Bischoff says that right here tonight, "he's bringing the "spice" of Smackdown.....right to Raw." We fade to black then to the Raw opener. 9:01-- Run Raw Opener, Cue Pyro. 9:02 pm-- Shot of a Limo pulling up the Arena. Triple H emerges from it with a sledge hammer in hand. Visibly pissed. Enters the arena. JR and The King sell the fact that he is walking directly to the ring. 9:02-- The Game's music hits. HHH storms to the ring with the sledge hammer in hand. Grabs a mic. Game cuts a promo on last week and what happened to HBK. Says he did a lot of thinking this past week. Says that even though he turned on HBK and even though be badmouthed him last week, what happened to HBK (with the car windshield) was wrong and uncalled for. Becomes enraged. Really get riled up and says that even though he taught Shawn a lesson two weeks ago, he is still his brother at heart. He reports that HBK is indeed in critical condition with head wounds--The Game then goes on to say that he doesn't care how long it takes, he is taking this show hostage until the culprit brings his ass to the ring and confronts him. About one minute passes. Cue Eric Bischoff's theme music. Bischoff strolls out onto the ramp. Stands on the ramp, right in the middle. Bischoff says that he too wants to know who attacked HBK, but now is not the time and goes on to say that he "has a damn show to put on". Triple H then counters by saying..... "Screw the show, and SCREW YOU"...........(pop)......... Bischoff states that the show will go on with or without HBK and with or without the culprit admitting his deed. He asks Hunter to please leave the ring so that we can start the program. Hunter, in a rage, screams, "If the bastard doesn't want to come out here, I'll come back THERE!" (pop) Hunter then exits the ring, sledge hammer in hand, Bischoff scampers away and gets out of his path. Eric looks on with confussion. JR and King sell that HHH is pissed and headed to the back. (crash cut to the back) HHH walking with sledge hammer in back....finds a crowd of workers. In that crowd is The Big Show. HHH tries to calm down------He tells Wight that he realizes he (Wight) was pissed at HBK---but there was no reason to do what he did....if he did it. Game asks him one time, (really pissed and red in the face) "Did you or did you not do it.." Show denies it. HHH states he can't tell if he is lying, but either way---"It's time to play my game you big bastard" Game gut shots Show, then rears back with the Sledge hammer, Show catches the sledge hammer in mid-swing as a sea of security an officials break up the melee. We head to our first commercial break fading out with carnage. (Commercial Break) 9:15-- Cut to HHH's locker room. HHH is pacing back and forth with the hammer. Knock at the door. HHH answers.........it's Arn Andersen. Arn tells HHH he just needs to chill and relax. HHH sits down, finally. Arn says for Triple H to sit tight, he is going out to talk to a few people concerning the attack on HBK. Once again he reminds HHH to just cool it. HHH is now sitting down with the sledge hammer turned upside down, leaning on it with his head down. Arn leaves the room and shuts the door. 9:17-- Cut to the ring. Test (w/Christian) vs. Booker T. Lance Storm is unusually not at ringside. Test cuts a short promo before the match. Test goes over. Finish is Booker T going for the Harlem Side kick, Test counters and blocks it--turns it into a Pumphandle Slam. Booker staggers to his feet, Test rears back and charges with the big boot, Booker moves, Ref gets nailed. Booker hits the "Book End" on Test. (30 seconds pass, both men out) Booker does his Spinaroni, in mid-spinaroni, Christian tosses the Anti-American flag to Test. Booker's back is turned, trying to revive the ref, doesn't work, Booker turns around again and gets nailed by Test with the Flag, then Christian does a run-in and nails a spinning heel kick. (then powders out) Ref is up finally, Test gears up for the big boot again----Booker staggers up to his feet, Test nails it, and with the lateral press, gets the win. 9:28-- Cut to HHH's locker room. HHH sitting down still, visibly pissed. Cell phone rings. HHH looks puzzled. HHH picks it up. Gets a look on his face that could stop a clock. Fear, Anger and Rage all in one emotion. Triple H then utters this question... "...........For Bret?.........." HHH then gets a sickly look on his face and slams the cell phone to the ground. (Commercial) 9:31-- Cut back to HHH's locker room. Arn walks back in. HHH is motionless. Arn says he talked to a few people about the situation. HHH cuts him off in mid-sentence and utters this phrase. "Arn. Bring Bischoff here...................NOW." Arn promptly nods and leaves to find the GM. Arn shuts the door behind him. HHH then destroys the room with a sledge hammer. 9:33-- Cut to Parking lot. A long black Limo pulls up. J.R. and King sell who the hell this could be. No one gets out. 9:34-- Cut to the ring. 3-way Ladder Match for Hardcore Title. (Adding gimmicks to undercard matches, IMO, is vital in getting these workers over) Tommy Dreamer vs. Johnny The Bull vs. Jeff Hardy. All three men juice. Dreamer goes over and retains the gold. Finish: Dreamer powders outside, Johnny The Bull is knocked out cold after being hit with a Swanton Bomb through a table by Jeff Hardy off the ladder. Jeff scales the rungs of the ladder---two rungs away, Dreamer comes back in the ring, shakes the ladder, Jeff looses his footing but hangs on. Dreamer climbs up Jeff's side of the ladder, both men fighting it out on the ladder---after 7 seconds of right hands, Hardy rears back and tries to hit a lariat from the ladder, Dreamer ducks then picks up Jeff and nails a (Super) Spiccoli Driver, or DVD, on Jeff off the ladder down onto the mat. Dreamer to the top of the ladder again, grabs the belt and runs off. 9:45-- Shot in parking lot of Limo. Still parked. Nothing. 9:45-- Cut to HHH's locker room. Bischoff enters. Bischoff: "Arn told me you wanted to see me. Listen, you don't have to---" Hunter: "I brought you hear for a damn good reason, Bischoff.." Bischoff: ........... Hunter: You remember a few weeks ago when you said that Smackdown's loss was Raw's gain? Bischoff: Yeah, what is your... Hunter: I am going to ELIMINATE that gain. HHH leaves the room with the Sledge Hammer as we fade. (Commercial) 9:48-- Shot of Hallway in back. HHH walking aggressively with the sledge hammer. HHH stops in his tracks. There in front of him is a locker room with the upside-down American flag on it. HHH turns the handle. Locked. HHH then bashes in the door with the sledge hammer. HHH enters. Lance Storm is the only person in there. HHH shoves Storm into a locker, holding him by the throat... Hunter: For BRET????? FOR BRET YOU SON OF A BITCH???!!? SHAWN DIDN'T DESERVE THAT YOU BASTARD!!!! YOU F------------- From behind, Christian and Test attack Triple H. They ram him face first into the locker. Test grabs the sledge hammer and nails Triple H with it. Storm: Drag his ass to the ring. Test and Christian drag a limp HHH out of the locker room. The camera follows this as they make their way down closer to Gorilla Position. The Un-Americans are not saying anything. Test nails HHH in the gut once again with the sledge hammer. They make their way down the ramp. Once they are on the ramp---- Crash Cut to the Parking lot. The Limo is still there. The door opens. A man in a hooded jacket emerges. We cannot make out who this is. The camera follows him. He has a tape in his hands. The man makes his way to the production truck and enters the production truck with the tape. Crash cut back to the ring. Storm gets on the mic while Test and Christian hold up the limp, bloodied, battered body of HHH. Storm gets on the mic and admits that it was the Un-Americans who attacked Shawn Michaels. Storm is screaming at the top of his lungs during this heel promo diatribe. Goes on about Bret Hart and how this was done to right a wrong and to also honor Bret. "Bret would have wanted this to happen to you two lying, backstabbing American son of a bitches..." Storm motions for someone from the back. Out walks the man in the with the hooded jacket. He is still covering his face. The man is now in the ring. Storm orders Kevin Dunn to play the footage of that tape the man procured, then gave to production. On the Titan Tron we see footage from 1997--- Footage of Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Jim Neidhart embracing. We see Shawn and Triple H turning on The Anvil and beating him down and spray painting him Storm: 5 years is a long damn time. Storm pulls off the hood to reveal Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. (This not the Anvil character of old. Jet Black hair and a black goatee with black shades and a hooded trenchcoat--one of the last remaining members of The Hart Foundation is a broken man. Neidhart will not wrestle in the WWE, he will more or less play a dark character and motivation for Storm's group.) Storm picks up a Chair and busts open HHH's head once again. Game juices big time. As HHH lies down on the ground, Storm explains how Jim Neidhart has joined their cause. He goes on to explain how this all goes back to 1997--------The Screwjob........The lies.........It goes back to their roots......Storm says that The Anvil will serve as a memory of a group that stood for truth. Storm goes on to say that from this day on, The Un-Americans will now be known simply as "The Foundation". Test and Christian drape the (Real) American flag over a bloody Triple H as The Anvil looks on with a stone cold look on his face. Anvil pulls out a can of spray paint from his trench coat and spray paints the American flag in black graffiti. About a minute after this (the crowd should be worked into a frenzy) we will have the crowd really blow their load when The Rock's theme hits. Out RUNNING from the back are The Rock and The Undertaker. Taker is out to obviously get his heat back from last week. The Foundation powders out. Taker does catch one member though, Test, and nails him with a lariat over the top rope. Rock picks up a mic and cuts a promo on them-- a serious one, nothing funny about this. During this, medics rush to the scene for HHH. Storm and The Foundation on the ramp way with another mic----Storm says that right here tonight, he and Christian would "love nothing better than to put the tag titles on the line against..."...and he must use these words, verbatim...bleep it if they must.... "Two pieces of unadulterated American shit like the two standing in the ring right now" Crowd should be going INSANE at this point. Obviously then Rock and Taker are on for the match, Taker cuts a promo on them and bashes them, as does Rock. We fade to commercial with Jim Ross overselling our main event tonight, the tag titles on the line as The Rock and Undertaker face Storm and Christian of The Foundation. Hard zoom shot of medics taking HHH away on a stretcher. (Commercial) 10:03--- Cut to parking lot, Triple H being loaded into an ambulance. Ambulance takes off. 10:04-- Cut to the ring, Chris Jericho vs. Rob Van Dam. RVD goes over clean, for a change, with the Five star Frog Splash for the finish. After the match, RVD celebrating on top turnbuckle, Jericho from behind with a steel chair and then slaps on the Walls. Jericho breaks the hold then leaves the ring. Jericho backpedaling on the ramp--- Ric Flair emerges from behind and NAILS Jericho with a steel chair of his own over the skull. Jericho juices. Flair has a mic and goes on... "........That's just a little preview Jericho........Just a little preview.....because at Summerslam!! Jericho!! After what you did to me last week on Raw------You and the Nature Boy!! LAST.........MAN.....STANDING!! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Flair walks back to the back as the match is set for Summerslam. Hard zoom shot of a bloody Chris Jericho. 10:17- Cut to The Foundation's locker room. Anvil, Storm, Test and Christian all in there. Knock at the door. Anvil gets the door. It's Eric Bischoff. Bischoff is somewhat pissed that The Foundation took out one of Raw's top Smackdown acquisitions. Bischoff says, "Well, what's done is done.." and then informs The Foundation that he does indeed approve of their main event they made for tonight but has something to add. Bischoff states that he wants to spice things up a bit. Bischoff says that he wants the Tag Title match with Storm and Christian vs. Rock and Taker tonight to be a No Holds Barred match. Bischoff states, for the sake of ratings, he is throwing the rule book out the window. The Foundation has no objections. Bischoff says that they need to inform The Rock and Undertaker about this new stipualtion....and if they don't.....Bisch says they can be surprised. Foundation smirks. Bischoff leaves the room. Camera follows Bischoff down the hall. He bumps into Dlo Brown and Shawn Stasiak. Bischoff says he knows two weeks ago he was a little harsh on them....but tonight he wants to make it up to them. Bischoff says he has a slot to fill in the show ...NOW.....and Stasiak and Dlo have a match. Both men are visibly excited as hell. Bischoff orders them to get out to that ring NOW. Dlo and Stasiak leave. Camera gets a hard zoom shot on Bischoff face, as he is smiling. Eric: "They have no idea what they just got themselves into..............DAMN!" (Commercial) 10:23-- Cut to the back. Jonathan Coachman interviewing Nature Boy Ric Flair. Coachmen asks Flair about the Last Man Standing Match at Summer Slam between he and Jericho. Flair cuts a basic promo on Jericho----In mid-promo, a bandaged Jericho attacks Flair from behind and slaps on the Walls of Jericho. Flair is screaming in pain. Numerous officials try and break up the melee. They break it up, Flair staggers to his knees then Jericho delivers a well-placed kick to the side of Flair's skull that sends him down. Jericho yells..... "Who's the Last man standing NOW, SLICK RIC????" 10:25-- Cut to the broadcast table, hard zoom shot Eric Bischoff. Bischoff on the mic, introduces Shawn Stasiak and DLo Brown. Bischoff then cuts a small promo on what they "got themselves into"...and then introduces their opponents, The Island Boys. Complete with new theme music, The Island Boys storm the ring and the match begins. Match goes on, Bischoff does commentary. During the match, Jim Ross and King question Bischoff as to what this tall structure is beside them. (A tall, large object is beside the annoucne table covered in black tarp) Bischoff says they will find out soon enough. Island Boys go over in the match. After the match, they beat down DLo and Stasiak until Bischoff orders them to stop. Bischoff calls the two over to the broadcasting table. He congratulates them on their victory. Both Island Boys leave for the back. Bischoff gets on the house mic and states that the "fun ain't over yet". Bischoff moves to the front of the announce position and pulls off that huge, tall, black tarp to reveal a strippers poll. Bischoff says that since this is....his show...and since.....he has got some time to kill, he wants to have some fun. Eric then introduces the newest member of the Raw Roster------Stacy Kiebler. Music blasts. Eric puts her over on the mic. Stacy does a strip tease dance on the poll. At one point she gets on top of the announce table in her bra and panties, grabs a mic and says..(in reference to what Steph said to her on Smackdown) "Stephanie.....why don't you bring your ass to Raw and and try and stop me, bitch." Crowd pops. As she is stripping and dancing, Molly Holly walks out, from behind and pushes her off the platform that supports the pole. This gets Bischoff enraged. Molly grabs a mic and SCREAMS at Bischoff that WWE women should not be used as Sex Objects. Calls Eric a pig. She stomps on Stacy a few more times, then really begins to lay into her, all the while talking on the mic how disgusting Stacy is and how depraved the fans are. Bischoff, with a pissed off look on his face, heads to the back. About 15 seconds later, The Island Boys come back out with Eric. Molly has her back facing the entrance. Island Boys tap Molly on the shoulder, spin her around and beat the holy hell out of her, finishing her with a Samoan Drop on the Steel Rampway. This will get a good reaction from the fans, but The Island Boys will still be booked as heels in the weeks to come. Bischoff smiles, looks down at the fallen Molly Holly and then states.. "Now THAT...................was entertaining!" Fade to commercial with a shot of Bischoff smiling. Yes, somewhat of an off-path babyface moment for Eric, but I think it's a fun segment for the fans. They should really love it. 10:39-- (Commercial) 10:42-- Recap of HHH/Foundation angle. Cut to The World in NYC. Jazz is hosting this evening. Jim Ross asks Jazz what she thought of that last segment. Jazz cuts a promo on Molly for being weak and says that if that were her, she would have taken down both of The Island Boys herself. King laughs at her. 10:46-- Cut to The Foundation's locker room. All four men leave the room and head to the ring. 10:46-- Cut to The Rock's locker room. The Rock and The Undertaker both emerge from the same locker room and head to the ring, looking pissed. Jim Ross sells the fact that both men have no idea this is a No Holds Barred match and The Foundation has strength in numbers. In any event, Ross sells it ........as the match, the main event for the tag titles------is next. (Commercial) 10:50-- We come back from commercial with a shot from the parking lot. A long white limo pulls up. Jim Ross AGAIN sells the fact that we have no idea who is in there. King says it has to be Stephanie. The door opens slightly....Jonanthan Coachmen runs up to the Limo and tries to see who it is........But the door slams in his face and is locked. We are left wondering. 10:51-- Main Event. The Foundation's Lance Storm and Christian vs. The Rock and Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match for the tag team titles. Foundation is introduced followed by Taker and Rock. Earl Hebner, of all people, gets on the mic and states that even though this is No Holds Barred, he is ordering The Anvil and Test to go back to the back and stay out of this Tag Title match. Crowd pops huge. Rocky grins, as does Taker. Anvil and Test, pissed off, both agree and leave for the back. Match goes on. Back and forth bout, various weapons used and lots of brawling on the outside. At one point, Undertaker gives Christian a last ride through a table in the ring, but Storm breaks up the lateral press. Finish: They work a kayfabe leg injury for The Undertaker. Taker goes for a big boot on Storm late in the match, Storm ducks and Leg whips Take then into a Maple Leaf. Taker screams bloody murder. Rock eventually breaks the hold, but Taker rolls to the outside. He tries to get up but cannot put any pressure on his right leg. Trainers come out and bring Taker to the back. JR sells it as if it were a shoot, but the injury is obviously a 100 percent work.......well, of course. This leaves Storm and Christian in the ring against The Rock. Match goes on. Storm and Christian whip Rock to the ropes, try a double clothesline, Rock gets a surge of energy and ducks, spins around, gets in between the two and hits DOUBLE SIMULTANEOUS Rock Bottoms. The crowd should pop HUGE. Rocky then knips up and gets ready to deliver the People's Elbow to Lance Storm. Test runs down with.....Triple H's sledge hammer. In perfect timing, Test nails Rocky just as he hits the far ropes in the back with the sledge hammer. Rock goes down. Hebner reading Test the riot act. Officials and Security get involved and Test returns to the back. Extra Security stays as ringside. Rock is down and selling the back big time. Storm and Christian get up Storm slaps on a Maple Leaf on The Rock as Christian heads to the top rope and hits an elbow drop to the point of Rocks back where the pain is. Moments pass--- In a shocking moment, Rocky passes out from the pain. Hebner reluctantly checks Rock's arm as it goes down once, twice, three times, and then promptly rings the bell. Storm and Christian go over and retain their titles. After the bout both Storm and Christian, sans Anvil and Test, do even more of a number on the Rock's back. During this, Jim Ross tells us at home that something....he doesn't know what.....has gone down in the parking lot. Crash cut back to the parking lot. The limo door is opened. Jonathan Coachmen is running to the scene, looks in the Limo............No one. Jim Ross says that whomever was in that Limo now has to be INSIDE the arena. Crash cut back to the ring. Storm and Christian still beating down Rock--Storm tries to slap on yet ANOTHER Maple Leaf on the Rock... The Lights go out. We are in complete darkness. Moments later, the lights go on and SHAWN MICHAELS is in the ring. The second the lights go on, Shawn delivers a Super Kick to Lance Storm---Christian charges at Shawn and is greeted by a Super Kick as well. Michales head is bandaged. The Neck brace gimmick may be a bit cheesy, but if they want to go with that--I guess it's fine. Michaels looks down at Storm and Christian, the ones who took him out last week. Anvil and Test run out from the back with the sledge hammer.....Michaels powders to the outside. Rock has already rolled to the outside. A mob of security rushes to the ring. The officials and security separate HBK and The Foundation. HBK leaves through the crowd as the fans at ringside eat up this special moment with HBK. We fade to black at 11:10 pm with a shot of The Foundation being held back by Security. This is all to set up Triple H and HBK vs. Storm and Christian at Summerslam for the straps. As for Rocky, he played a vital part in putting The Foundation over. I'm sure he will have no problem jobbing to them as he moves on to Summerlslam to go over on Brock Lesnar. As far as Undertaker goes, I think a few weeks off are an order, just to give his character a breather.
Guest BorneAgain Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Great booking! The addition of the Anvil is a suprising, yet entertaining touch. Good buildup for all the matches at SummerSlam too. Tell Ryan to keep up the good work.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 It seems solid enough. Too much blood. Five people bleeding in one night? Hell, even ECW didn't get that much crimson on one show. And ladder match overkill. We go half a year without one, then we would have had four within an two-month span. Keep it a three way, but, unfortunately, don't forget about everyone's favorite hoss in there, as well.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 That much HHH on Raw...and I think I'd go insane
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Yea.. the ladder match was my only problem with it
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 That would be an awesome RAW to watch. Now, if only that actually did happen Monday night.
Guest deadbeater Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Er...no. Booker T/GoldDust are much suspects as are the Anti-Americans. A Booker/Test first match sort gave the mystery away. And now the women's division is officially pissed on.
Guest y2jailbait Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 WOW! I am impressed at whomever wrote this one up, the bulid up for the un americans (or should I call them the foundation) is off the charts. New stars are made with shows like this, but itll never happen, no way, no how, i just dont see it.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Yo Barron, WHO wrote that? Its fuckin' wicked. Now THATS a story line baby! This has been the Anti-American Taker Mark
Guest Vern Gagne Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Overall a good show. The one big thing that I could live without is Jim Nienhardt. What does Jim Nienhardt really bring to the group, just because he was in the Hart Foundation doesn't mean the fans care about him. The idea that the group worships Brett Hart is fine, and the name is fine, but IMO Nienhardt just doesn't bring anything to the group. The only person who bring real interest in truly pop the crowd is Brett Hart, and with his health problems and history that won't be happening soon.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Ryan Dibiase who writes a newsletter called Mind Games wrote it. I think he brought in Neidhart cause 3/5ths of the Hart Foundation are dead and the other is Bret and Neidhart was his tag team partner so I guess it makes sense that way
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Sure the nWo bombed and bringing back Flair hasn't spiked the ratings but now with Anvil back- JIM NEIDHART V. TANK ABBOTT Loser gets goatee shaved off
Guest Ph34r Tha Leaf Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC BOOKING!!! ..even if he did job Booker T to Test. Test needed the rub and Booket can always rebound. Too bad the WWE with probably not use this. It makes me sad, but if they somehow did--even if they used a fake Anvil--I've mark out big time and everyone I know'd start watching again.
Guest Angle is Wrestling Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 That was some kickass booking going on for that show, until the part about Jim Neidhart came up. The new wrestling fans don't know who he is, and the majortiy that do know who he is still wouldn't give a shit anyway. It would kind of be like when Road Warrior Animal was that big surprise guy in WCW. Also, if HBK is going to return to the ring, it has to be against HHH. That is the big money match all the fans want to see.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 1) The 9:00 hour is VERY Triple H heavy 2) I think the Ladder match ought be retired. 3) The Anvil? 1997 Footage? The kid who wrote it has more of a 1997 Fetish than I do Otherwise, not bad. Though unless HBK is going to wrestle consistently ::laughs::, that finish might not work that well. Unless they wanted to extend HHH/HBK's feud, having the match with the Foundation at SummerSlam, have HHH and HBK lose, due to HBK, have HHH cut a promo the following RAW saying "Damnit Shawn, I told you you didnt have it anymore. You know we're like brothers, so I know I gotta be the one to help you on your way out" blah blah blah, leading to the "Loser leaves town" match at Survivor Series or something like that....
Guest TheArchiteck Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Damn..... That Fondation angle put chills down my spine. That shit is deep as hell. Otherwise good show.
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Damn..... That Fondation angle put chills down my spine. That shit is deep as hell. Otherwise good show. Holy shit, the Foundation stuff and referring to Bret and the old Foundation made me wide-eyed. It was almost as if these were the Raw "spoilers". Damn, good show.
