Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I was thinking about this in church () and I could really come up with a few.... RVD's Five Star Frog Splash. Who HAS kicked out of it? Jerry Lynn did in ECW. Bam Bam did when RVD wasn't much of a star. I can't remember if Rock kicked out of it when RVD was in the Alliance. It has put away Jericho, Angle, Undertaker, Big Slow, etc., etc. That's probably the top credible one currently. Benoit's Crippler Crossface. It has nearly made everyone tap (except for RVD)... and is damned credible. I can't think of anymore really.. maybe Lesnar's F5 because he's getting the super push, and no one can kick out of it. What are some others? Are ones that you think are credible?
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Benoit's Crippler Crossface, Lawler's piledriver, and the Stone Cold Stunner. Gee, when you think about it, not a lot of finishers are that credible.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I never really consider the Stone Cold Stunner that credible.. well, sort of. It kept people down ALOT, but everytime the Rock kicked out of it at the two WMs, then it went sort of down on my list. Same deal with Rock Bottom's and such... when Hogan kicks out of your finishing move... we have problems.
Guest mach7 Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I always thought the Rock Bottom was a very credible finisher for Rocky.. then he started using that damn People's Elbow. Otherwise, The Stunner, definitely. The Superkick USED to be a credible finisher... now everyone uses it. Five Star, for sure. Tombstone, definitely. They banned that move, so when Taker or Kane DO pull it out, you know their opponent is going DOWN.
Guest The Superstar Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Actually at Survivor Series, Kane kicked out of the *****, but got pinned by the top rope superkick
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 ***** Frog. F5. Has anyone kicked out of Last Ride?
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Has anyone kicked out of Last Ride? ... I didn't see SS, Superstar.. and I guess the results sorta slipped my mind. And you're right... no one has currently kicked out of the Last Ride, bob.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Credible and over: RVD's Five Star Frog Splash: It's got a suprising impact, even when he launches himself way across the ring. Triple H's Pedigree (*poses, spits water*): It may not look particularly lethal, but it's been put over as so, and it is. Has anyone ever kicked out of it? Benoit's Crossface: If you can't get the ropes, it's over. HBK's Sweet Chin Music: Still has an impact, even after all this time. Besides, nobody does it like Michaels. Kurt Angle's Angle Slam/Ankle Lock. Both are still fairly protected, and at least look credible. There really aren't that many.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Plus he's nearly killed Test and Rock with it!
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Triple H's Pedigree (*poses, spits water*): It may not look particularly lethal, but it's been put over as so, and it is. Has anyone ever kicked out of it? Yeah... it's been kicked out of. I just forgot by who. It was probably The Rock or somebody..

Rock and Foley have kicked out of the Pedigree
Guest The Superstar Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 The Rock, Austin, Undertaker probably...and Angle, Jericho, Benoit...ok, those are made up
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Everyone has kicked out of the Angle Slam. I'd have to agree... when Edge kicks out of your finisher... well... I'm sorry, Kurt.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Kurt Angle's Angle Slam/Ankle Lock. Both are still fairly protected, and at least look credible. I wouldn't say that. It seems like half the roster has either kicked out of the Slam or gotten out of the Lock.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Didn't Bob freakin' Holly kick out of the Slam?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Probably bob. The Walls of Jericho USED to be credible, but then he turned heel and no one has tapped to it in six months. Both RVD and Eddie's frog splashes are credible, as is the F5. Also, didn't HHH kick out of the Last Ride at KOTR?
Guest bob_barron Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Rock kicked out of Pedigree but I dont think HHH kicked out of Last Ride
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Triple H's Pedigree (*poses, spits water*): It may not look particularly lethal, but it's been put over as so, and it is. Has anyone ever kicked out of it? Well, the Ultimate Warrior "no sold" it and bounced back up to his feet. Does that count?
Guest Quik Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Crossface. Hell, the crowd still pops for it whenever it's even hinted at (armbar takedown attempt). That's credible, and it's probly the best finisher. Can come out of nowhere, and looks painful as fuck.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Well, the Ultimate Warrior "no sold" it and bounced back up to his feet. Does that count? Yes, it does.... well, I think it should. I still remember that squash.. hee-hee.
Guest geniusMoment Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 If you go back a few years Brets sharpshooter almost always put guys away
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Steve Austin kicked out of the Pedigree at No Way Out 2001, I believe.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Stunner, Crossface, Pedigree, and the Tombstone. Could probably add the F5 or whatever the hell Brockberg calls his move.
Guest Imarkout4chrisdaniels Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Houston Hangover by Booker T has never been kicked out of. Now if he never attempts it again, it will be the most lethal finisher ever. No one has ever kicked out.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Steve Austin kicked out of the Pedigree at No Way Out 2001, I believe. Yeah, Austin kicked out of the Pedigree in the 3rd fall as did Triple H with the Stunner.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Lesnar's F5 because he's getting the super push, and no one can kick out of it. Gaurentee Rock kicks out of at least one at SummerSlam.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 He won't kick out of Brock's SSP .
Guest mickberna Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Triple H's Pedigree (*poses, spits water*): It may not look particularly lethal, but it's been put over as so, and it is. Has anyone ever kicked out of it? Foley kicked out of it, but then took another one face first in the thumbtacks in the Rumble street fight for the pin. I smile when I think of that match. Lawler's call when he took out the bag of tacks was awesome: "Sandbag. He's gonna hit 'im with a sandbag."
Guest bob_barron Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Foley (twice- i think) Rock Warrior Austin Pedigree kicker outers
