Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 According to the Hoss Report this week, Kane is coming back from his bicep injury quite soon. The original plans were to have him feud with X-Pac over the mask and then move on to face Nash. Obviously neither of those programs will happen now. So the question is, how would you bring him back? Does he team with Taker against the Un-Americans? Does he feud with Brock over the belt? Does he move to SD and feud with Benoit and Eddie over the IC belt? Does he turn heel and feud with RVD and Booker? Or is he the one who put HBK through the window as an act of revenge for the nwo taking him out months before?
Guest BoboBrazil Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 He needs to move to Smackdown. Raw is stacked with big men and they don't need another. Smackdown could use him.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I say bring him in the week after Summerslam as a mystery opponent for Brock. Have Brock barely beat him..
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 of course. He should be 'Inkahoots' with his brother the Undertaker again
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 He needs to be fired. I hate that piece of shit. His only purpose was to fued with Taker, and after that fued came to a boring conclusion, he's basically been doing nothing for years. I wish the WWE would release the deadweight.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Yeah, that's right! Fire his ass! After all, all the WWE needs is Benoit, Benoit, Benoit! THAT will bring ratings. *ahem* I don't mind Kane. He's an above-average big man, can work (and sell) when not paired up with Taker..never really had the chance to do much, though.
Guest phoenixrising Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Keep Kane far away from Taker, yeah I like the Brothers of Destruction but I'd like Kane to stay far from Taker storywise. Send him to Smackdown.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I just got todays 'TV Week' here in Australia, and it contains an interview with Kane & Terri on the upcoming Australia tour & Raw 2, the new Xbox Game..here are the parts that involved Kane... TV Week - Do you play video games? Kane - Yeah. I don't have an Xbox, but ive played on one and its an awesome machine. The graphics are just unbelievable. TV Week - What are your thoughts on Raw 2 for Xbox? Kane - It'll be amazing. The graphics and the gameplay get better all the time. TV Week - Is there something in the game that you would like to do in real life? Kane - I'd like to do the shooting star press, but im not gonna try that in real life. TV Week - Do people recognise you with your mask off? Kane - If the WWE is in town, people scratch their heads. Then their eyes light up and they figure it out. Thats it. Guess Kane isn't OVERLY intelligent in real life either...i still love the guy though. Kane for President of the USA...ANYONE can do a better job than Bush. Taker-Mark
Guest alfdogg Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 He needs to be fired. I hate that piece of shit. His only purpose was to fued with Taker, and after that fued came to a boring conclusion, he's basically been doing nothing for years. I wish the WWE would release the deadweight. I'll be a little more mature than Shiro was and simply say that he should not be fired. He's one of the better big men in WWE, IMO. I wouldn't mind seeing him feud with RVD or Booker as mentioned before as a heel, I actually think a win over Kane could help them somewhat.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Actually..isn't Kane the only guy over 6'6" or so to bust out a rana? I know it wasn't very pretty, but.. Practice.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I just can't get behind the "Help Kane become a good worker by pushing him!" idea anymore. He's essentially developed into a slug over the years. Sure, there are worse big men than him, but that doesn't detract from the fact that he's just another un-needed waste-of-space at the end of the day. Individual feuds that he does by himself are always horrific and unless he wants to create a new character for himself like Taker did (simply as a neccesity to addapt to the much-less-cartoony state of wrestling), he's got no more place clogging the system for guys like Bautista and O'Haire who might actually be able to become something usefull to the company simply because fans aren't totally burned out on them yet. Saying Above-average-for-a-big-man is like saying "Not the biggest piece of shit I've ever stepped in, but a piece of shit, nonetheless."
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I agree that Kane shouldn't be fired. He's the best "big man" in the company, and was just beginning to break through as a face before his injury.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Kane is a perfect upper-midcard guy who shouldn't be main-eventing but has plenty of use and doesn't detract from anything.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 The WWE shouldn't fire Kane. He's the best big man the WWE has, and firing him would be stupid. As for his first fued, I can see him teaming up with the Undertaker and fueding with Storm & Christian for the Tag Team Titles. Now, if the Undertaker & Kane jobbed to Storm & Christian, that would help Storm & Christian get over. If that doesn't happen, then maybe Kane could turn heel and fued with RVD or Booker T. I actually hope X-Pac returns so we can see a Kane vs. X-Pac fued over X-Pac stealing Kane's mask. Remember, that fued wasn't finished yet.
Guest alfdogg Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Saying Above-average-for-a-big-man is like saying "Not the biggest piece of shit I've ever stepped in, but a piece of shit, nonetheless." Is that a shot at me? ASWHOL!
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Unlike in wrestling, TSM is a small man's world. Kane will never be Benoit, no. But he's loads better than The Big Show, Albert, Bull, Rikishi, Lesnar and the other hosses they're pushing.
Guest alfdogg Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I agree, Shiro. At this point, I'd be working on getting Mike Awesome or Sean O'Haire ready as well. Depending on how Awesome's injuries have affected him. I was at the SD in Indy and he had a dark match with Tajiri, and he sold a knee injury all the way back.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I haven't seen much of O'Haire's stuff, but I believe Awesome, like RVD, could actually improve by using the WWE style. Less stalling and table-powerbombs, and more actual moves. And O'Haire..any body that's what, 6'6", and does a Senton Bomb (Swanton, my ass) is allright in my book.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I cant wait to hear Jim Ross say...MY GOD ITS KANE!!!! Thats always good times.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Aw come on, the guy is invaluable. I definitely agree that he should be on smackdown, and i'd assume they'd go that way. (bischoff making sure he's got all his top guys, relaxing, then kane returns on the thursday.) As long as they don't fuck with the look or the mask he'll be over, and i don't understand how you can say he's 'developed' into a slug. He's vastly improved since he first showed up. He was god-awful around 98 but puts 10X more effort in now and as a result has remained over. He was actually starting to develop a personality in those skits before he got injured. Another thing about him is he'll still be over without a main event push as well, so we don't need to see a title reign or anything. I certainly wouldn't fire him.
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Well, it's not 1997 anymore (obviously), so I think maybe it's time for them to find something else for Glen Jacobs to do (another gimmick). Kane was there to further the whole Dead Man gimmick for the Undertaker, and since Undertaker isn't really the Dead Man anymore, the Kane character doesn't fit. Plus it's rather stale.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 that's just it, kane's character has lasted longer than just about everyone else, and he's still waaay over. So whilst some might be bored of it, it's the only way he'll ever mean anything in my eyes. I've said it b4, the mask and the character are the only way a fairly average big guy like him is gonna get over.
Guest redbaron51 Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 i want to see Kane win the WWE Belt and have the reign for more than just 24 hours
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'd like to see that as well. I really think the WWE is going to rush Kane back in for a PPv Tag Title match with Taker against the Un- Americans, but I think he'd benefit from beign waya from Taker. They don't serve as foils to eachother's characters anymore because of Taker's gimmick change and it hurts to have them together. On the other hand, Kane on Smackdown may end up getting lost in the Henry/Albert/Holly/Venis/DVon/Rikishi shuffle and his career will suffer. Raw has ( or had ) the awesome mid-card and stacked roster for a week or two, but now they may be somewhat depleted without Benoit/Guerrero serving as workhorses. This leaves more time for HHH. (BAD) If Benoit/Guerrero/Edge/Rey are the top-teir guys on smackdown, Kane would be like a God. I'd love to see him on top as an unbeatable face and maybe with a character tweak (no mask, some scarring on the face) It could definetly be done. With those different color contacts and some scars put in, Kane could lose the bothersome mask and get over with sympathy heat and just using his great fan generating stuff he used before the injury. I'm definelty rooting for the guy.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'd love to see what benoit and guerrero could get out of him as well, instead of just having him feud with albert or something.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Saying Above-average-for-a-big-man is like saying "Not the biggest piece of shit I've ever stepped in, but a piece of shit, nonetheless." BWAHAHAHAHAHA! funny and true... Kane shouldn't be fired though. I hate the guy. I hate his ring work, but those who are saying he should be fired are looking at it from a "Smarks" point of view. Kane's over so why fire him?
